Purely from a WA perspective, condemning him is utterly pointless. It:

1. has no actual effect
2. wastes everyone's time and effort
3. gives him the oxygen of attention, which is exactly what he wants anyway

Its a travesty they're going to take RPing which is what the whole forum encompasses, and make it so regions cant be RP regions anymore. I mean I don't see too many threads on P2TM or II about R&D. To me, those who are part of R&D quite frankly dont want to "share the park". We want to. Its not fair were willing to but people like Mallorea and Riva have to have it entirely they're way or they wont stop complaining.

I didn't think they would be; it's just one of a number of suggestions that have been made as possible answers to this thing.

And if it passes, you won't be able to put a password back on the region. So your best bet right now is to draft up a few TG's to the delegates that approved it and state your case. Try to change their minds. See, this is the thing: most gameplayers don't understand RPers and vise-versa. The reasons given to support this resolution make sense to a gameplayer who is not informed on the current situation. So, you need to have a few good TG's with your audience in mind. And it isn't hard. Just draft a few that quickly explain the problem from a gameplayer's perspective. Something that talks about how in the past the region was raided, and since you guys are into RPing, you don't want to be raided and have someone make a mess of your pots and pans. If you want, you can post them here. I'll help you if you want that help.

However now, after introducing a system (founders/passwords/liberate) that was supposed to provide some modicum of safety for people who wanted to keep out raiders, a mod of all people has decided to abuse the system to achieve his goals.

Except it's not an abuse of the system any more than Gameplay itself is an exploit of WA and regional mechanics: Liberations strip passwords from regions for any reason, controlled only by the supermajority voting of the WA. It was spun as only-to-stop-abusive-raider-occupations, sure, but how the actual hard-coded mechanics work and how they can be finagled takes precedence. The boss likes emergent gameplay.

If we're just going to let people abuse every system in the name of gameplay, I'm not sure why we have the system we do.

Because emergent gameplay takes precedence. 'Abusing the system' is the game.

Keep at it. My guess is it's your best bet to write a short telegram telling them the region's peaceful, you let RPers in to RP, you don't want to be raided, and the password's there to prevent raids. Like, I see the TG's that have been written. Some are alright. But I think the most effective one would be shorter and more succinct.

Except that raiding totally is legalized bullying, which means that everybody who willingly participates in raids is a horrible human being by default.
