While additional reinforcements sailed towards the site of battle, Rebel fleet started peppering the hostile one with railgun fire, hoping to provoke a counter-attack.
On the ground, Imperials were advancing through a storm of artillery strikes. Meanwhile, a sizable force advanced from the south to help defend the city- they were located some 200 miles south of the city, and were pushing towards to hit the attacking invading army in the flank.

The Imperial fleet noticed they were heavily outnumbered and gunned and decided to sail out of range of the rebel forces, and headed for more sizable rock formations to hide behind, and prepare an assault for when or if the Rebel fleet neared.

The Government obliged, but materials they had on their disposal were meager, and much less than what NATA members could produce.
A dozen of NatGuard transport barges were loaded with requested goods, but instead of sending them through the rebel-infested waters, they sailed eastwards and set course for one of the port cities on the western coast of the Empire, hoping to evade possible rebel patrols in the perilous waters of what 'Tornikians called the Outer Ocean.

Fortunately, the Imperial Western fleet was patrolling their own territory alongside a majority of the Beaver Islander Naval Forces and escorted the barges once they got within range. This shipment guaranteed more Imperial Boots on the ground shortly.

For now, Northern fleet would steer clear of Imperial shores, but they diverted their attention to one of the more prominent members of NATA.
Their target? Abrahams Republic. Half of the fleet, a massive detachment of about ten thousand warships, went out to create a blockade of the island nation, in preparation for the incoming attack.
Meanwhile, millions of people from northern Miscarcand evacuated by ship or aircraft, heading for the occupied Snowvlenia.

NATA satellites caught up on the massive rebel fleet sailing towards Abraham's republic and immediately began preparations for the defense of the nation. Increased fortifications along the beaches and massive Civilian evacuations to more in-land areas, giving way for both Imperial and Republican Forces to prepare their defenses, both conventional. And not-so-much.

The refugees escaping into Occupied Snowvlenia were met by troops from the Imperial 53rd Army. Which attempted to send people to zones in the far north of the nation, to keep them the safest until further requirements were met.

After minor skirmishes dozens of mortar rounds began to rain down into the ruins, followed b the echoing battle cries of what seemed like hundreds of rebel fighters. Seemingly emerging from out of no-where, just outside the west end of the crater; however they did lack any sort of vehicle in which the Imperial force had plenty of, however most were being used as Medical to patch up both Civilian and Imperial wounded.

Many squads of soldiers were quickly overrun but the charging rebels, but took down many with them. Comms began to blare about rally points, and where each team would meet up. However, since Sardian soldiers had no personal HUD's, they weren't able to receive information unless asked for it. Therefore, it would be wise to hole up in a good ruin, and fight until other things are met.

Rebel mortar fire continued to slam down into the ruins, all over the place managing to score a few lucky hits against Imperial and their own forces. Which continued pouring out of at least six tunnels which led to the city-side.

However, Imperial M-2's were up and running and were already pushing lead out their barrels towards the suspected tunnels and Mortar points, while the Heavy tanks descended into the ruins followed by Infantry.

Back in Rototornik Loyalists went on the offensive, albeit with great casualties. Almost a million dead, wounded or defected in the first day of battle.
Serbian invasion of Miscarcand has briefly halted, while the northern units concentrated on taking the two port cities that the Loyalists were evacuating from.
Roughly a half of the Central Fleet, bolstered by formidable Daguerrean navy assembled and prepared to sail eastwards, towards the southern part of the Imperial continent.

However, even with the weapons being used against the defenses, the defended force responded back harshly. Missiles, both troop and vehicle launched, cannon fire from multiple sources, fleets from the Republican Navy and finally multiple nuclear warheads, detonated 60 feet underwater as the rebel fleet passed over them.


The Joint Imperial Eastern fleet began to form together to defend the guarded coastline. Fearing an actually invasion, civilians were ordered to move to safer parts of the continent to make room for arriving Professional and NatGuard forces. While hundreds of wings of Air Force fighters, bombers and other aircraft were preparing and arming to engage the fleet from afar. Or Airplanes in the air.

Imperial Forces inside the city were already mounting a defense around the town square, occupying the remains of the town hall, and other buildings and rubble around it. using it as a Command post and choke point for hostile soldiers.

However, many Imperial troops were scattered and pinned down from the rebel hordes, and were just fighting it out in plain sight, or behind cover.

Rebel troops continued to arrive through tunnels all over the ruins, now they began to receive modified civilian planes and helicopters mounted with machine guns, or little latches to attach makeshift bombs to. However, most of the rebel air support was concentrated on assaulting Imperial artillery. Which, barely any made it and most were shot down over the ruins, sending them and their very dangerous ordinance towards both Ally and rebel soldiers alike.

As the officers where talking the roof above them exploded showering them in a shower of dust and bricks two officers where injured "Everyone out everyone out go go go" the major yelled as the officers started limping or running to the lower floors of the ruin as more ordnance impacted the upper floors causing the building to shudder and shake.

However, only a small force of Imperials actually changed their current location and began heading to the street due to the lack of further communication, most squad and company leaders decided to continue to fight the rebels.

There was no time for any of the Sardian troops to explain, twenty rebel troopers were emerging from cover and firing their fully automatic rifles apon their enemies.


With this situation going from bad, to worse. Imperial command has dispatched more air cover to the area, with C/F-20's engaging hostile aircraft or dropping precision guided bombs or rockets onto enemy positions, giving many of the bogged down Imperial troops leway to move into better locations and push forward. Inch by inch.


Meanwhile, reinforcements from the recaptured city were already under-way and were set to arrive within the hour. Would the forces here survive?

Things went out of hand quickly ten men where killed as the platoon started retreating firing their weapons as they moved away from their position until the rebel fire ceased and the platoon was marching to their destination still surprised by the rebel ambush.

It was another casual day around the massive complex which acted as the Imperial embassy; Ambassadors were inside their offices while the security personnel, both Imperial Army and Private, either patrolled the grounds, walls, buildings or were inside their respective barracks or the mess hall. Eating or playing games. While some took up basketball games on a makeshift court, using a soccer ball bought from a nearby Sardian store.
