Alas the time had arrived. The people of Zgharta were sickened as well as tired of the Phalangist régime entity's crimes, sectarianism in addition to hatred towards other Lebanese brothers + sisters. The Zgharta Liberation Army of the Marada Movement (whose ideologue is Lebanese nationalism, Pan-Arabist nationalism, Socio-Cultural Traditionalism, Christian theocracy with Religious Pluralism & Anti-Sectarianism, pro-Syria alignment, as well as mixed economics), led by Suleiman Frangieh, remobilised from its passive reservist status to launch attacks against Lebanon Christian Republic Phalangist forces. I also wish to let the world know, that we are not simply 5 000 holy partisans any longer. Our ranks in our areas have increased to 125 000. May the Phalange rue the day they provoked as well as angered our wrath with their rabid behaviour! May they rue messing around like temper tantrum children! The time has come, to finalise our work, BRING PHALANGE DOWN!" he roared whilst putting his left hand into a clenched fist in the air. People cheered.

Only one grouping of Marada troops, as it turned out to hath been decided, would go on the offencive. The 5 000 original troops, now officially known as the "Zgharta Republican Guard Hard Core Brigade", was being mobilised to launch an ambush against a convoy of Phalange tanks identified on the unrecognised borders of the newly self-proclaimed Lebanese Republic of Zgharta, whose government has been given €100 billion in State coffers aid by Bashar Al-Assad to help them formalise a strong state with a budget capable of investing into numerous ranges of programmes. The soldiers roared whilst goose stepping ferociously, "Allah (God), Yusa (Jesus), Zgharta, Suleiman w basss!" throughout their trek out of the main city thence into the forests to head towards the planned site of the ambush. The Zgharta Republican Guard Hard Core Brigade's five thousand soldiers went into concealed positions in shrubs or bushes on either side of the main road where the enemy convoy was said to be passing through, whilst the roadside military traps were placed onto this road too to give whatever Phalange column daring to pass through here a bloody living hell. The soldiers armed their weapons, aimed through the respective concealed positions towards the road, awaiting the moment in which the enemy convoy would roll in, to which from there the devices planted in the road would explode right under them, thenceforth from there the five thousand "Hard Core" Zgharta commandoes would commence their ambush. For now they waited for this moment, with due patience, in complete silence. Throughout the Lebanese Republic of Zgharta, the 120 000 other soldiers of the Zgharta Liberation Army were placed in their underground + concealed positions as well once they had laid all the traps in the other roads as aforementioned earlier too. | On Zgharta National Television, Suleiman Frangieh made a short speech, "Brothers, sisters! There was of course the question of how this strength came to be. Locals had been swarming to join the ranks of this noble force over time, which was being trained by Syrian Shubat al-Mukhabarat al-Askariyya (Military Intelligence Directorate) operatives. Furthermore, Zgharta leaders ordered some time ago the construction of a secret high-speed Maglev military metro line that goes straight into Syria, built for them by Syria's engineers as well as military. This metro line has become the main underground "Ho Chi Minh" line where supplies & weapons come pouring through. The tunnels were also large enough to bring through armoured-mechanised-artillery-air defence heavy units in enlarged wagons too. This was the beast that allowed Zgharta to militarise herself to such massive levels. The secret metro line continued to remain a strategic part of the strength of the Zgharta Liberation Army, in addition to the pride of the Lebanese Republic of Zgharta. Interestingly, a small contingent of Syrian Communist Party (Bakdash Faction) sympathisers got aboard those metro lines later on to join the Zgharta Liberation Army. Whilst those persons were avowedly atheist, they sympathised with their Christian brothers & sisters of Zgharta, thenceforth they decided this was their chance to join them in a noble struggle against the Lebanese Phalange régime entity. These 10 000 Syrian recruits were in the midst of training in mountainous regions of Zgharta, to be mobilised alongside the normal Christian Zgharta Liberation Army at a later time. The Syrian group was called The Syrian People's Sympathiser Front for the Liberation of Zgharta. In the meantime, the secret metro line continued to bring in logistics...

Phalangist militias and the Lebanese army armed with a combination of NATO and Warsaw pact small arms, were quickly dispatched to crush the Marada Movement’s rebellion, running water and electricity to Zgharta was cut, the only way Zgharta could get water and electricity is if the Marada took Tripoli which was heavily guarded by Cuscatlani mercenaries (private military contractors) hired and sent to Lebanon to help advise Lebanese Army by Raul Martinez, they were prepared to help the Phalange and Lebanese Forces and the Army if Marada overran them. BM-21 Grad MLRS in groups of a 50 each surrounded the outskirts of Zgharta at various spots, the BM-21s were loaded with cluster munitions to cause huge amounts of damage and casualties, M113 armoured personnel carriers patrolled the outskirts as well, while Special forces who were trained by Cuscatlan, went into the sewers to infiltrate Zgharta and capture or kill Frangieh.

“Attention Marada extremists, come out with your hands up and surrender, if you do not surrender we will be authorized to utilize deadly force, we ask that you let the civilians leave the city."

James went into a tent and called his sister Jasmine Chamoun who was announced Princess of East Beirut more or less a figurehead monarch.

Association of Lebanese Nationals in Eminral (ALNE) meets with Nationalist Majority Leader Rep. Francis Douglas

Perhaps one of the most powerful groups for refugee and/or foreign nationals in Eminral is the Association of Lebanese Nationals in Eminral (ALNE). The group has been instrumental for persuading the Ministry of Immigration to raise the cap on entry of Lebanese Diaspora to Eminral to 56,000 per year. The President reassured the Lebanese community that Eminral will honor its initial commitment to work with Lebanese Christian Republic and assured that its borders remains open to Lebanese Nationals.

The government introduced a bill before the National Assembly, just hours after the meeting. The bill, endorsed by Nationalist Party's allies, was called "Allied Country Aid Act", have been praised by many Nationalist Representatives as job-creating bill. But the Labour-Socialists have denounced it as another handout for defense industry and will greatly expand Eminral's aggressive foreign policy. The bill, if passed, will give E$ 45 billion boost to defense industries throughout the country and will sell the arms to allied countries, like Lebanon Christian Republic, at a discounted price or loans.

Through back channels, the Eminral Intelligence Department started drafting a plan. Reviving an old plan of installing a new regime to stabilize Lebanese Christian Republic. But because of foreign affairs politics involved, its likely that it will face opposition when introduced to the President. For now, the President is hoping that the bill will be passed by the end of the week. During an interview, President Howard declared Eminral's support for the Lebanese authority. He ruled out any military operations for now, but said "all options are in the table".

General Adib Al-Husseini too wanted an independent Secular Fascistic Arab Lebanon independent from Bilad Ash Sham with good relations to Syria, or even a Bilad Ash Sham under the ideas of Adib Shishlaki, however as soon as Husseini’s group heard of the Marada rebellion in Zgharta he knew he had to support it, his troops had fought against Government forces at the border between Syria and Tripoli and were ready for more fighting.

I understand your struggle against the Phalangists, as I am fleeing to Germany as I am most wanted by the Phalangist Government, I am giving you control over all of my troops and Aerial forces, so you can liberate Tripoli and create a state combining Tripoli and Zgartha, it should be called the Arab Republic of Zghartha-Tripoli, Tripoli will be governed by local Sunni law while you can have your Christian theocracy in Zgharta, however the Government will be anti-sectarian, so you can have your Theocracy in Zghartha but not in Tripoli, Tripoli should be semi autonomous, most of my men are Sunni Muslims and Aliwite Muslims and have never really worked around you Christians before.

Dervish Ali ordered INPF soldiers to advanced into the North. They where also ordered to set up a fortress out of a strategic building and that building was a school. The threw homemade grenades and Surplused WW2 German stick grenades through the windows entered the main entrance shot the school deens and admins. And made an announcement on the intercom to evacuate or die. The school was now a base for the INPF insurgents. They put LMGs in the front windows of the school and moved tables and desks to the main door to close it off. And set up mortars in the play ground.

Central Beirut - "The Divide"

What you don't know can hurt you. It can kill you, in fact. The INPF had apparently taken zero time to scout their surroundings, or to even pay attention for that matter.
Spanning the border between Free Lebanon and Red Lebanon was the 86th Armored Division. No where did they stand stronger than the streets of Beirut. The city streets were optimal for defense: more cover against air strikes, and less room for the enemy to maneuver out of a clear shot.

As the hordes of INPF militants attempted to cross from West Beirut into LCR-controlled East Beirut, RNI forces of the 86th Armored Division did not hesitate to engage. YT-1 Caiman light tanks opened up with 105mm canister shells, sending a shotgun-like blast of heavy tungsten balls aimed at knocking out incoming infantry as their topside gunners let loose with .50cal machine guns. Blocking some of the roadways were TU-10 guntrucks with quad-barrel 14.5mm heavy machine guns mounted on the back, which let loose with a hail of lead against the exposed INPF militants.
Meanwhile, infantry platoons hunkered behind sandbags and barbed wire barricades that had been set up months ago engaged the incoming terrorists with small arms fire, while snipers in the buildings hocked off targets from above.
A single MQ-9 Reaper drone (unarmed) redirected course towards West Beirut to give reconissance support to the defensive line down below.

"This is Ironback Alpha-4 to LebCom, we have hard contact. Repeat, we have hard contact."

The INPF commanders and militants holding the school got feedback from men being attacked on the other side of Beirut "Amir Omar we need a mortar strike over here imdieatly! Kafir attack Allah Akbar." "Alright Hamid the barrage begins in 3...2...1... Allah Akbar!" the mortars fired quickly the men putting rounds in the moarter as quickly as they could all 20 mortars fired.

Central Beirut - "The Divide"

"RPG's!" screamed one of the soldiers as he ducked and the round came screaming over his head and slammed into a tank behind him, sending vicious shrapnel flying everywhere.
"Shit! We got wounded!" Screamed another man as he pushed down on his comrades gashed leg to stop the bleeding until a medic could escort him away.
The optics on the YT-1 Caiman were disabled, rendering the tank blind; however, between the ERA and frontal armor of the tank it was still in survivable condition. The wounded vehicle rolled back as an M1126 Stryker armored fighting vehicle rolled forward to close the gap for the time being, blasting away at the window where the RPG came from.
Another two men were killed when their cover took a direct hit from an RPG warhead, shattering the sandbags and wounding another soldier.

Up on the rooftops and in the windows the snipers were quick to target the sources of the RPG fire, engaging with and 7.62x54mm SR-25 and ASC-90 sniper rifles. On the ground infantry continued to engage visible targets, picking away with their AKI-3M (basically a slightly upgraded AK-103) as well as M240b light machine guns.
The TU-10 guntrucks continued to make their corridors of attack a living hell - if living through the rain of fire produced by a quad-barrelled 14.5mm heavy machine gun was possible.
In open areas such as parks, empty lots and former parking lots, C-RAM batteries roared to life as they sent a wall of lead into the sky at the enemy mortars. Still, a few mortars were able to slip by the defenses, and brought more sporadic casualties to the lines.

In the skies above, the MQ-9 Reaper was able to locate the source of the enemy mortar attack. Mortars by nature were very short-ranged, and it did not take long for the drone to locate their launch sites and mark their coordinates.

Free Lebanon

News spread like wildfire that someone was trying to break the line of the 86th holding the border. Already, logistical units were mounting up, both by truck and by helicopter to keep the flow of ammunition, water and medical supplies running to the front lines.

Outside of Beirut, a single battery of no more than five towed Type-39 ERODS howitzers (based off G5) prepared to fire. A single radio call from the LebCom HQ confirmed the coordinates being relayed by the drone, and the order was given.
"Booghhmm!" went the first gun, ejecting a cloud of smoke and a shrieking 155mm warhead.
"Booghhmm!" went the second.
"Boughhmm! Echoed the third, while the others remained silent.
Three M982 Excalibur GPS-guided shells went hurtling through the air aimed at the mortars in the school yard...
