Trans likely has it tabbed, and is busy with work like the rest of us. He will notify you of any changes you have when he has a moment.

Your patience is appreciated.

Do you have any powers to approve/disapprove of apps?

Nope. I can simply provide vetting for Trans, and let him know if I think it needs work. Also allows me to mold them so he can spend less time doing that himself.

Damn, well I hate to see Trans to be multitasking with RL and TUP but if that is what Trans wants to do.

That should allow creative freedom while having quantative idea for each ship.

Sounds cool. Maybe 1 to 100 over 8 catagories and have 500 points to spend?

Sorry, but that sounds like a terrible idea.

Yup! No points system. We're in this to tell a story, not to win.

Also, Ral, I'll get your RP up soon. I think someone else TG'd me an OP so I'll post that later today as well.

And no, NT, I haven't forgotten about our thread.
Where must we go, we who wander this wasteland, in search for our better selves?
In Egypt's sandy silence, all alone,
Stands a gigantic Leg, which far off throws
The only shadow that the Desert knows:—
"I am great OZYMANDIAS," saith the stone,
"The King of Kings; this mighty City shows
"The wonders of my hand." The City's gone,
Nought but the Leg remaining to disclose
The site of this forgotten Babylon.

We wonder, and some Hunter may express
Wonder like ours, when thro' the wilderness
Where London stood, holding the Wolf in chace,
He meets some fragment huge, and stops to guess
What powerful but unrecorded race
Once dwelt in that annihilated place.

@Ralnis I present to you, a cross section of the Sons of Wässar, their 1st Manpäal of their 1st Kohort. So this is what you will be going up against, and more. Plenty of armour and infantry for counter-insurgency and patrols in Höofstuks 1-5, Some fantastic airmobile troops at 6-8, and the ninth Höofstuk has Jagmäaks, basically troops trained to hunt and destroy insurgents. And of course the attached support unit.

The Link.

Arcerion wrote:@Trans Is that Forerunner investigation/exploration RP still open? Or is it active yet?

Forerunners? What is this, an RP for Halo fans? D:<

Just kidding. But seriously, they're referred to as the Forebears, and I'm not sure, but Serritia said that he was disappointed that it was moving slowly, so I'm going to assume that, if you ask nicely, there most likely will be a spot open for you.

Also, Ral, I've gotten your RP up, and in about two minutes it'll be in the OP as well. I titled it "Odd Encounters of a Spatial Kind" because there was no name supplied and I found it kind of fitting. NW Slobovia, I'm going to get your RP up in about five minutes, so, expect your RP to be in the OP as well.

Furthermore, there's been/going to be a little bit of an OP update, OP referring to the Original Post of this hub. First of all, I've added a resource that all FT players, though especially new ones, should read, (courtesy of G-Tech Corporation's signature, but not his own post.) which is included right under the Encyclopedia Galactica link near the top of the OP.

Secondly, I'll be adding a clause to the RP Starting part regarding RPs that are not too game changing and could theoretically be considered "mini-rps", which take place in our universe but do not greatly affect the overall outcome, in the big picture, of any major event. This idea was put forward by Roerak, who I courteously thank for formulating it. These RPs will be able to be started and posted by anyone, so long as they notify me prior to, and then send me a link once it has been posted.

So they require air support and fast-moving armor transports. So I am guessing the troops will lightly armored but highly trained specialist to handle fighting insurgency?

Yep. COIN is a fast-moving game. So if the gentlemen in the armour get into contact (i.e. in a jungle ambushed by your folk) Höofstuks 6-8 are built to exploit the insurgents showing their face. They close and destroy with the enemy, serving as the sheepdog to force the prey to the hunter's party, or the armoured troops. The highly mobile 9th Höofstuk is designed to recon farther and longer than the Verkenners attached to HQ, such being able to predict the path of advance.

As for armour, Höofstuks 1-5 have the usual infantry and mechanized armour. Höofstuks 6-9 have lighter and less covering armour to allow for faster movement and better mobility.

As for air support, as you can see by Äasvoël-pattern strike fighters, there is native elements of it as air power is essential to COIN.

Perhaps, but the last time I tried to introduce too many mechanics in a relatively free FT atmosphere it resulted in FAR II and FAR III, both of which were extremely unsuccessful, as a few RPers here, including Ralnis and TFG, can attest to.
