On Sunday morning, two large armed group, identified as Zerran Communists and Zerran Stubbsists, initiated several attacks against the Marshal Regime and the Zerran People's Army. In the north, the communist forces have amassed around the city of Cresco, and have started to besiege it. On the southern peninsula, the Stubbsists have besieged and invaded the city of Oka. The Stubbsists are led by a naval officer by the name of, Jackson Stubbs. A strong band of fighters, Stubbsists are people who believe in a capitalist country, led by a single leader, but with far right conservative and libertarian views. They want to stamp out all liberal, communist, and socialist ideals and ideas, fighting to overcome communism and left wing policies. Since Stubbs was a naval officer, his naval force is better equipped with missile and torpedo boats, from a captured naval base. On land, he has 2 armies and is close to capturing Oka City. They too have limited air support.

The Steaks arrive in Zeran and take up these striking positions, and also dropping napalm on the rebels. Hand-to-hand combat occurs when troops of the 1st Regiment of the 9th Division of Steakrim charge on a rebel position. 53 men die on the first day, 102 are wounded, The rebels suffer less, as they are holding the defense.

While we feel that there are no good options in this civil war, and that the Valaran Empire is a staunchly capitalist country (if left of center), we also feel that the communist rebels are the best hope for Zerran. The Stubbsists, have defeated the ZDF and has finally captured the city. Jackson Stubbs raises the Flag of the Stubbsist Party over City Hall. Troops cheered as he raised the flag. After his forces cleared up the last pockets of resistance, his aid ran up to him from the command vehicle. He held a small note in his hand.

"What is it private?'

"Sir, we got this telegram from the President of South Rothinzil!"

"Excellent. Hand it here."

He reads over it. He is very pleased. He then gives a small victory speech, encouraging his men to fight on, and tells them of the support of the South Rothinzilians and the Davidans. His troops were overjoyed, Soon after the speech, he sent his troops to secure the city, and officially established Oka as the temporary capital and base of operations of the Stubbsists rebel faction. But it was not without a cost. Many men lost their lives, but it marked the first strategic victory for both rebel groups.

He sends a small telegram to the President of Davida and South Rothinzil:

Greetings,

We have received the South Rothinzilian telegram and are very pleased with your decision. With your powerful support, we will soon overcome this evil and establish a free and happy state, where all people are created equal and are safe from "big brother". I will travel to the nearby Colonial islands, by Osa missile Boat, to chat with the President. I will make sure to wear my best clothes!

Troop Commissar Mark Nettles read telegram after telegram. He started to tear up and cry, due to the overwhelming support he has gained from the help of many nations. He feels so honored that his band of Communist liberators gained world-wide recognition. In the port part of the city, cargo ships from various different nations unload thousands upon thousands of containers, filled with arms and other much needed supplies. After these containers are unloaded, they are then converted into barracks or homes for soldiers or displaced/homeless civilians. The communists take no prisoners and execute any ZDF supporter/soldier.

After hours and days of street fighting, the communists finally liberated over half of the city, declaring it liberated. Nettles stands atop a destroyed tank, reading a long, but powerful verse from the communist manifesto, encouraging civilians and soldiers to fight and liberate themselves from tyranny and harsh oppression. They too are pressing on to the final defeat of the ZDF in the city, but are met with a large counter-attack with air-support and artillery bombardment. The city is very damaged, and some civilians are resisting the communists.

Nettles sends out a small telegram to all supportive nations;

Comrades of the proletariat,

Thank you for all of your precious support. We wish that you continue to send arms and supplies to aid our cause, but military intervention is up to your decision. We would encourage it, but we wish that you keep in mind, that we wish to have our infrastructure as less damaged as possible. We also wish that you send us reconstruction supplies, as we do need to rebuild our infrastructure. Please keep the supplies coming, and may Marx watch over us, and protect our cause!

He feels so honored that his band of Communist liberators gained world-wide recognition. In the port part of the city, cargo ships from various different nations unload thousands upon thousands of containers, filled with arms and other much needed supplies. After these containers are unloaded, they are then converted into barracks or homes for soldiers or displaced/homeless civilians. The communists take no prisoners and execute any ZDF supporter/soldier.

After hours and days of street fighting, the communists finally liberated over half of the city, declaring it liberated. Nettles stands atop a destroyed tank, reading a long, but powerful verse from the communist manifesto, encouraging civilians and soldiers to fight and liberate themselves from tyranny and harsh oppression. They too are pressing on to the final defeat of the ZDF in the city, but are met with a large counter-attack with air-support and artillery bombardment. The city is very damaged, and some civilians are resisting the communists.

Nettles sends out a small telegram to all supportive nations;

Comrades of the proletariat,

Thank you for all of your precious support. We wish that you continue to send arms and supplies to aid our cause, but military intervention is up to your decision. We would encourage it, but we wish that you keep in mind, that we wish to have our infrastructure as less damaged as possible. We also wish that you send us reconstruction supplies, as we do need to rebuild our infrastructure. Please keep the supplies coming, and may Marx watch over us, and protect our cause!

We thank the commissar for his appreciation and express our admiration for his recent victory, as it is a sign that our aid is not misspent. We must also politely remind him that we are not of proletariat, although we do support his cause. Reconstruction supplies will be sent, and an expeditionary forces is slowly being mobilized, though this will take time to assemble and arrive due to logistical problems. We shall send it o the west coast, either to Lakura to link up with your forces and take the city in a pincer movement, or to Tyre, to launch a surprise assault in an unexpected region. The former is preferred, but we will need the assistance of your navy to distract there coastal forces in order to carry this out successfully.

We have heard of your glorious uprising taking place in Zerra. The Zerran Dictatorship is a cruel military regime which has been oppressive and totalitarian towards all political activity for decades, It is good to see that the proletariat have finally made the decision to stand up for their rights, and take matters into their own hands. Therefore, in light of your courage in initiating the revolution, and your glorious victory in Cresco, the People's Republic of Cedoria would like to officially recognise your party as the legitimate government of Zerra. The Revolutionary Finance Committee is authorising funds to be wired to the accounts of top rebel leaders, including yourself, and we are authorising airdrops of weapons and medical supplies north of Cresco. In addition, the People's Republic of Cedoria is mobilising two battleships and the aircraft carrier Revolution, which is carrying two J-19 fighter squadrons and two slightly older model B-68 strike bomber squadrons. We are preparing to send these ships to support your forces in the north of Zerra, to compensate for your lack of naval or air support. These ships will soon arrive on the north coast of Zerra, ready to provide close air and naval support to your forces as they advance. Although it is entirely your decision, we recommend you move to capture the city of Northra first, as this will provide you with a secure Operating Base on the north coast of Zerra, and will enable our naval support to support you over a longer term. Please inform us were our support will be most needed to help you in the liberation of the proletariat.
There is also the potential for Infantry and armoured vehicles from the People's Revolutionary Army to provide additional support, but for now the Communist Party of Cedoria feels that naval and air support is the priority.

After hours of continuous fighting and bombardment, the communists have succeeded in capturing the city. Cresco is now fully in the hands of the communists, which have designated the city as their temporary capital and base of operations. Work has already started to rebuild the city, to communist standards of course, and are re-organizing their troops for defensive purposes. They start to entrench around the outskirts of the city, and demolish irreparable buildings.

In the city's damaged airport, Nettles orders that 5 airplanes be brought out to the airstrip and hidden in the bombed out terminal building. These planes will be flown by foreign nationals, to fight against the enemy aircraft. The aircraft have been repainted, to communists styled red stars on the wings. They also ordered foreign nationals to establish a small flight school, to help establish the communist air force.

Around the city, the AA defenses are set up. SAM's, AA guns, and various MANPAD launchers are set up in, around and on top of buildings to deter the ZDF, from effectively bombing the city. Thanks to the large amount of weapons, the communists recruit even more volunteers, further adding the strength of the communist forces.

Nettles retires to his command post, a bombed out police station. He sets his AKM rifle down and flops down on his bunk. He is covered in dirt and dust. As he looks up, he sees a picture of the Marshal on the wall in front of him. After staring at him for a minute, he took out his pistol and shot the picture. It fell after the second shot. Immediatly hearing the shots, his military aid rushes in;

"Comrade Nettles, what is going on?"
"Nothing comrade. Just a picture of King Bitch on the ground."
"Oh, hehe, we thought you had harmed yourself...anyways, we got this telegram from Cedoria."
"Give it to me...then go to bed...you've done well these past weeks comrade."
"Thank you, comrade commissar!"

Good, foreign military support...enough to counter the ZDF and her allies. We will surely win, after all of this global support we are receiving. I will write them a quick thank you telegram, with orders.

Dear Cedorian Communist Party,

Thank you for your glorious support. We recognize that you are the first foreign military power to intervene in this conflict, other than the ZDF ally. I applaud your services, in which I am in debt to. We agree with your plan, as we will attack Northra and Lakura simultaneously. They wont expect a double attack. But, I would like to meet Communist supporters in Cresco if possible, to discuss post war planning, and further military strategies. We also warn you, that ZDF subs may attempt to intercept your fleet, so be on the look out. A patrol craft was blown out of the water yesterday by a supposed torpedo. Againthank you, and may communism unite us all as one!
