The RGC-18 "Shadow Master" flew silently through the sky with the ECM and ESS activated to avoid being seen by both sides in the conflict. Both teams knew their mission and they would be dropped separately on the north and south ends of the island just a few miles off shore in SDV's. These small subs could carry 4 men and they were about the size of a small car. They would be carrying each team to their insert zones.

Each man on each team had over 25 years of military service before this mission and over 15 Black Operations missions completed without triggering a response from the countries they deployed in. They were involved in Operation Crisis, Operation Freedom Cry and Operation Silver Dagger to name a few non classified operations. Operation Crisis was one of the humanitarian crisis's that had the country involved genocide. MAKO 1 was sent in to assassinate the counties leader to end the conflict. Operation Freedom Cry was an operation in the Country of Armakistan where MAKO 1 was sent to play King Maker by arresting a country's leader and replacing him with the Insurgent leader. Operation Silver Dagger was an Intelligence mission to infiltrate Rudaslav government after that government killed civilians that opposed the government.

These members of MAKO 1 were the most elite members out of the Allied States of Rodstov's and Grenoda's Special Forces Community. They were the only ones with a chance at completing the objective without being detected. These men would be better described to be like the United States fictional unit; 3rd Echelons "Splinter Cells" mix with a little bit of Canada's CSOR (Canadian Special Operations Regiment). They can operate alone with little to no over-site and the most freedom to complete the objective but, with out causing civilian casualties or casualties at all depending on operation and what needed to get done.

MAKO 1 was armed with top of the line weaponry that was available to them. Which was made in their homeland. Upgraded FN 2000's were made to chamber 6.5mm Caseless and 7.62 Caseless rounds to lower the footprint the squad would make. Also Their "Stealth suits that were made resembled the "Splinter Cell" Clothes used. This included all of the technical and weaponry along with it. All of this was unique to this unit and the 2 supporting units; MAKO 2 and MAKO 3 (Both of which were deployed else where).

"Sharks listen up." Red One barked. "We are going to be dropping in soon, We got some last minute Information. Call each other by their call sign to avoid any recorded events by cameras or enemy personal. You are now not apart of the military gents we are too close to un-sympathetic lands. Your name rank and serial number mean's nothing to them. You cannot give up your place of origin pick countries that are know to do this sort of thing like the United Kingdom, Russia or the United States. We can change to enemy or friendly faction names to confuse and disorder the captors when asked to give up name of origin." R1 started. "For example! I will go by Red One or Voodoo. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out for the rest of you. our deployment roster will update when we get inland." Voodoo finished.

"Okay, Then on to the new stuff" Blue 2 / Whiplash said. "Our techs back home has given us some intel of the where about s of each leader they will be on your R.O.P.'s and it can be reviewed at any time during the op but, to get you guys started their will be two key members that we will be looking for."
Whiplash paused for a moment when he raised his right wrist. Attached to it had the Rugged Operational Phone attached to it. He tapped in his unique pin number and tapped on the briefing app that was at the top. "Emperor Endymion Nacht, is the overall leader of the men and women of Angbhand he more or less calls the shots for the country and has ordered the attack on his own country he will be hard to get. Our country is un-sympathetic to his recent actions and is the hole reason we are going in. My guess if things go south Command may order us to kill him and King make the other faction leader and our second target; John Gray. He is the overall leader of the insurgency in the Corothian Provinces this will be the easy target. All we need to do is get him alone so he can chat with the techs back home. We are not to kill anyone apart of the movement in the south though were are not to be seen assisting." Whiplash finished. "We are probably, if it comes down to it, going to make him government of the nation and it wont be a kingdom more or less a democracy of their choosing. Well that about it I'll be sending more Information regarding mission updates on the M.R.T once we get on the ground." Whiplash continued as he backed out of the app and tapped armament app....


After droning on over the different apps and mission details Whiplash stopped and everyone broke up into the two teams and prepped for the drop. Red team would drop in the north to go after Emperor Endymion Nacht, while Blue would drop second as the plane turned around for its return after going all the way around the island keeping its distance from the island itself and detection. Blue would be tasked with getting in to speak with John Grey.

John Gray, leader of the insurgency, sat in his chair and gazed down at the map in front of him. The streets and alleys of Hyperion were laid out, little flags and markers denoting where his forces were set up. Outside the city the retreating Imperial forces were marked with small blocks of wood with unit numbers written on them. He glanced up at his Barsovichian body guards and then back down at the map. The Emperor had agreed to peace talks and John was inclined to take him up on the offer, assuming terms were favorable to his people. The intervention of so many other nations might be what he needed to finally win autonomy for the Corothian provinces. He had no desire to run all of Angbhand, knew that it would be impossible. The dominant Ang and Duinn ethnic groups would never accept his rule. The entire conflict would spiral down into 20 years of civil war if he attempted it. Still, he mused, he might be able to force the Emperor to restructure things. Give up absolute power... perhaps Angbhand could be a republic...

He stood and moved to his radio.

"Inform Nacht that we will attend their peace meetings. We will be there in one day."

He began issuing orders to his men to prepare for the trip to Nacht.

"A few days ago, the vanguard of the 7th Fleet departed from their home port in St. Bernard Island, with them was the men and women of the 3rd Imperial Marine Division, over 10,000 men will take part in the General invasion of the Carathi provinces of the Empire of Angbhand. This Invasion is highly controversial back home, and many protesters have protested that the misfortunes of the Carathi people are of no business to the Empire of Ghondra."

In response to this, the Imperial General Staff has stated that the Empire of Angbhand is restricting and outright abusing the fundamental rights of the Carathi people, and it is the responsibility of righteous nations to defend the downtrodden masses."

Lieutenant Michael Hoffman observed the men of 3rd Platoon with Colonel David Hewitt , they were loading up a Skyreacher, not only with men, but supplies and Ammunition as well. They were observing halfheartedly, mainly focusing on their conversation with each other. "Sir, do you really agree with this? I mean, my sisters think it's none of Ghondra's business. Of course being a soldier, I hardly care for politics, what about you sir?"

"Perhaps you should occupy your mind with other things. As you said, you hardly care for politics, as a Colonel and a Margrave I am required to be interested. But when we're out there, the last thing anyone will think about is Politics. And neither should you Lieutenant." Hewitt said, his tone final, before nodding to the Lieutenant, walking towards his platoon's own Skyreacher. Hoffman sighed, dismissing his thoughts, before entering the large transport plane.

He looked back, as the bay door advanced, closing the plane off from the outside world. He sighed once again, before taking a seat. It would be sometime before he ever sees Ghondra again. But more importantly, his family.

Humgonia, which already agreed to the ceasefire by the way, has sent Wu Shang to Nacht to begin peace talks to end the war. They also ordered that anything that attacks the Humgonians will be annihilated and dismantled.

While the Ceasefire was in effect, 4 Destroyers, 2 frigates, and 4 cruisers arrived to reinforce the 8th Navy. On land, more missile defence systems were set up, and all armoured vehicles were undergoing repairs. Barsovichian forces had little hope that the negotiations would go the right way, and were preparing for the worst.

In Hyperion, Barsovichian forces that had arrived set up defensive positions. Civilians were being given medical attention, and rubble was slowly being cleared. A small team of 40 Barsovichian special forces joined the 23 surviving members, and took up positions as John Gray's personal bodyguard.

While the current ceasefire holds, we would like to offer our medical teams to the Barsovich forces a sign of goodwill, on the condition that they are brought back safely if negotiations fail.

Preparations for negotiations were nearly complete. The government district had been locked down and heavy security was in place for the meeting. Accommodations had been set aside for the dignitaries and delegates due to arrive from the concerned nations. The Emperor himself was still sequestered in the bunker below the Imperial palace. He would leave these negotiations to Secretary Rosolo, his must trusted minister. The rest of the city was on a war footing with units mobilized and patrolling the streets. The military bases surrounding Nacht were also on high alert with fighter aircraft flying low over the city and nearby countryside.

John Gray, leader of the insurgent forces, arrived late that evening escorted by his body guards and some key members of the insurgency. He was shown to his quarters and he settled in. He spent the next few days finalizing the proposals and demands he would present before the Emperor and the other attending nations. He was prepared to compromise on most things but autonomy for the Corothian provinces was not one of them.

Angbhand

All across the country newly mobilized forces moved towards the relatively quiet front lines, bolstering the ragged forces that had dug in while the ceasefire was in effect. Tanks and IFVs from inland arrived to support the massive number of infantry divisions that had been called up. Artillery and SPAAG were deployed and fortifications erected. Logistics vehicles were powered up and drones began flying reconnaissance missions over the Imperial positions and the area immediately surrounding them, hunting for any sign of an enemy advance. Special Forces units slipped into Hyperion to keep watch over the insurgent forces that still held the city and to hunt for any signs of the remaining Barsovichian forces.

In the seas surrounding Angbhand the combined fleets of the Imperial Navy finally arrived after missing most of the naval combat in the days before. Four carriers and their destroyer escorts converged on the island nation and steamed for the port of Duinnland near Nacht. They would avoid engaging or provoking the enemy ships for now but they were on alert.

Angbhand had not yet discovered the MAKO combat teams or learned of their mission to abduct the leadership of the Empire and the insurgency. The Ghondra fleet was detected by AWACS but they were not engaging in any belligerent action so Imperial forces did not attempt to engage them in any way.

In the heart of the government district the Imperial palace was opened for the arriving delegates. The Emperor had come out of his subterranean bunker and was prepared to meet the dignitaries from all involved parties. One of the large rooms in the eastern part of the palace had been prepared for the negotiations. He and John Gray met briefly to discuss matters regarding the independence of the Corothian provinces but no concrete decision was made. Another message was sent to the nations that had intervened militarily in Angbhand inquiring as to their location and expected time of arrival in Nacht.

Negotiations continued in the capital city of Nacht today with several advances being made. Secretary Rosolo has agreed that the Corothian provinces should be given limited autonomy within Angbhand to hold their own elections and determine civil matters without interference from Nacht. John Gray agreed to these terms but also demanded that Angbhand remove it's military bases from the region. Secretary Rosolo refused this and pointed out that the military bases in the Corothian region were vital to Angbhand's national defense strategies. After several hours of debate John Gray agreed that the military bases could remain operational, however he demanded that the Corothian provinces be allowed to raise and maintain their own paramilitary police force. Secretary Rosolo agreed to this but with a caveat: the police force would have a cap on the number of troops it could recruit and weapons would be limited to small arms. After several more hours of debate John Gray finally agreed to this. Negotiations were concluded for the day and the dignitaries returned to their rooms.

Red 1 order his men push the SDV to the cargo ramp. The light turned green and the Sub and the 4 members exited the craft into the dark night.

Negotiations had progressed quickly, their mission was still a go. The Government was still sketchy at best and Red teams objective had been reduced to simple recon and their freedom to do so had also been dwindled to no casualties for ether side.

MAKO 1's objectives turned from forcing a cease fire to planing an invasion of the island if things went south. Which could be very difficult while they had to avoid navies and ground troops. If they were detected it would cause a lot of things to happen including triggering a war again. Though these men were more than capable to complete their tasks with out causing attention to themselves


They fell for what it seemed like forever. The SDV fell ahead of them, It would mark their landing zone, at 150 feet two large cargo Parachutes exploded open and the sub gracefully sank down to the water. Once it made splash down IR Strobes activated once, and then It began to sink. They were 7 miles off the coast and a good distance away from other fleets. Though they would have to be quick to get down to the SDV and detached the parachutes and frame before a patrol would spot them. Once the team got to 123 feet they pulled chutes and gracefully made splashdown on target. They removed their parachutes and swam down to the SDV.

Blue team's goal was to speak with John Grey. They switched from SDV drop to a Winged H.A.L.O. Drop. This was similar to what they did back in Armakistan during Operation Freedom Cry. The only difference they had less men on the drop and they were closer to land so they would beable to fly in. Since John Grey was at the negotiations they would drop into the northern rural area north of Nacht; they would land and sneak into the town on their own and then regroup on John Greys assumed location. Their techs back home would send them the location after they figured it out. A spy Satellite would also be moved into the location but that would take time to complete. Either way they would be able to get in to speak with John hopefully with little to no problems and sneak back out with out any harm coming to them or John Grey. Since the Conflict was drawing to a close their team would be making a courtesy call to show him what form of supports were available for him. But they needed to get to him first.

The four men stood on the cargo ramp then the cargo light flashed green. The load master yell "GO GO GO" and they jumped. Soon after they spread their arms the nano fiber wings caught the air and they were gliding. This would help them get in land with out being detected. Though this was made up only minutes before hand the Shadow Master Fired a MQ-3 Scryer from one of its wings to help guide them in mid flight. The Scryer is a Combat/Stealth UAV Made the same way as the Shadow Master. Only a few have been made like this to be stored and shot out from a missile firing rack. the Shadow Master took 2 of these on each run. The Scryer can make 3 types of scans; Night-vision, IR, and Magnetic. This would help spot a good remote and no active site to land at. the Scyer would maintain its height and scan from the altitude untill it ran out of batteries where the pilot would put it over water and crash it.
