That's not possible.So what if its mountainous,they're jets not gliders.I can still attack from the coast even if your country is "landlocked".

I feel like a highly militant country would have built their equipment with protection from EMP, even something as simple as large Faraday cages.

The man entered the hall of the palace. This man was the so-called King of Sviberstan, Ultan Gorbija. He tried to find the Emperor, so that he could discuss the matters of Sviberstan with him. The Emperor was getting increasingly annoyed since the conflict started, as it ended up like the first one. Gorbija sat down with the Emperor to discuss what Gorbija wanted. Gorbija wanted to reinstate the monarchy, with assistance from Allandine soldiers. The Emperor considered his offer. A monarchy in Sviberstan would be a good prospect, as well as a potentially powerful ally.

The soldiers have been under fire from Sviber missiles, and quite a lot have died. Nonetheless, the troops continue, awaiting some more reinforcements.

"What these so called 'Atalanasu's' have done to Sviberstan is a crime. The ancient monarchy was fair to the people of Sviberstan. As the sole remaining Gorbija, I am rightfully the Atalanasu of Sviberstan. But do not confuse my plea, I do not wish to rule Sviberstan for my own pleasure. I only want to right what was wronged by the rulers since the Monarch's fall. And with that, I humbly ask you to aid me in re-establishing the Sviber Monarchy!"

The Emperor smiled. "Yes, okay. We will deploy our troops to restore your monarchy and free the people in the process. The population has been brainwashed and must be liberated from their oppressive masters! We will try and oust the dictatorship for you." He said.

In exchange the man would provide incredibly detailed maps and charts of Sviberstan. These pieces would show things such as unknown mountain passes and tunnels as well as popular ambush points. Although any large assault on inner Sviberstan would now be impossible, this information if used correctly, could allow for precision strikes and possibly the avoidance of ambushes.

OOC: Sorry, didn't know your nation was landlocked (I assumed it wasn't as you share a large border with Allandium and it has a large coast) We shall attack with our forces up one of the mountain passes then.

IC: The forces had been making slow progress. While dealing with armed citizens with relative ease due to their training and equipment, the mountain pass (in the south) itself was proving far more difficult to capture. This was exacerbated by a lack of heavy artillery and tank support, while most of the aircraft had not been sent to this war. The only real geographical advantage they had was due to the static potions of the Sviber troops, which meant that with difficulty (and casualties) they could be outflanked/surrounded. It remained tough work though, and while some 20 miles had been captured before the mountain pass,they had only progressed 3 miles into the pass itself, and that had taken hours of bitter fighting in the snow. (Valaran troops are not averse to the cold, having mountains at home, but nor are they specialists in it)
However, luckily due to delays, they had avoided many of the missiles which were directed against other attacks, though subsequent barrages were increasingly becoming a problem and casualties were mounting.

Total casualties were hard to ascertain, but roughly 2,000 Valaran had been incapacitated (killed/wounded), along with around 3000 Sviber armed civilians in the plains (killed/captured), and approximately 1500 Sviber regulars guarding the mountains. (is this reasonable ? - trying not to godmod so tell me if I am being unrealistic)
General drake kept roughly 40% of his force and 30 tanks back to guard against a counterattack, and to ensure that he had a second strike force ready if needed.

The Allandine army now knew about the Sviber weak points, and were immediately ordered to take advantage by attacking them, while keeping wary of the Sviber ambushes. Allandine artillery fired into the ambush points but tried to be careful not to hit the soldiers themselves.

General Drake also request this information, so that he can minimize casualties and continue his advance., as an ally of Allandium. He is also considering requesting for artillery support, as his forces are mainly tank/infantry orientated, and are also facing considerable difficulty in taking his assigned pass.


Having not been directly informed by his allies (probably due to a miscommunication), General Drake decided to halt the attack, resorting to pounding the closest enemy occupied regions with his tanks and artillery. He brought the remainder of his armored units to do this as well as rotating the infantry so that fresh troops could begin the new assault. Total casualties had increased by roughly 300 men to 2,300 before doing this, although the ratio was slowly becoming increasingly favorable as the Valarans became more used to fighting the Sviber troops (anticipating ambushes and the like).

The Sviber army was getting pushed back on every front at this point. Not expecting the enemy to know where their positions are in the first days of the new offensives every attack would be a surprise attack as the Allandine army seemed to swoop in out of nowhere. The Sviber resolve was still strong however as they did everything that was humanly ;possible to slow the advance.

The Allandine army and her Valaran allies used this map as an advantage and exploited the terrain. Ambush points were a avoided, before being targets of air strikes. The soldiers are pushing forward in an attempt to try and get into the Sviber capital and to end the war.

Having now been informed of the passages and troop dispositions, General Drake pushes forwards and launches an all out assault of the pass with some 10,000 men and 55 tanks (5 have been knocked out, but most haven't engaged yet) to flood the pass and flush out Sviber troops, who have been under bombardment for some days. This seems to be more successful, but the advance is still gradual and will take time. 2,500 men are kept in reserve, while in total, some 2,500 are casualties. It is reckoned unlikely that the pass will be taken for another few days, even with these extra advantages.

OOC: i was attacking a separate pass than Allandium, but the maps should still help.

OOC: The maps encompasses the entire country, so this is plausible since Allandium shared knowledge.

IC: The troops would fall left and right as guns erupted and defenses were cleared. Svibeeris still remained many treacherous miles away however. Any direct attack on mountain passes would be costly and slow as the land was still easily defended and any attempt to undermine the defenses would have to be down in small groups through the lesser known foot paths.

Meanwhile in occupied territory Ultan Gorbija would be working to gain public support as the rightful ruler of Sviberstan, he would attempt to work with the invaders to establish a transitional nation in the occupied land.

While the assault gained some initial extra traction, with the forward Sviber positions having been bombarded over the past week, the final stages of the pass proved much harder to take. It was a bottleneck, mitigating the extra numbers that General Drake brought to bear. Missile fire was also now more effective, with a further ten tanks being taken out (45 left) and another 500 men as casualties. Still, this was the last few miles left to capture, and so efforts were redoubled. gradually, resistance was cleared, but not without considerable costs.

With the help of the military, the Kingdom of Sviberstan was created, with Ultan monarch.The troops pressed inward in their quest to conquer the capital of Sviberstan. Ultan's attempt to pesuade the people he is king extended to the Allandium population as the Emperor send agents to tell the whole empire Ultan Gorbija is the rightful ruler of the Sviber people.

With great difficulty the defenses would fall one by one. Bodies would litter the paths and gun fire was almost constant, eventually the invaders would manage to pin what remained of the defenders in the capital city, Svibeeris.

Meanwhile in the newly formed Kingdom of Sviberstan, the people slowly come to terms with Ultan Gorbija being their Atalanasu, seeing as he was at the forefront of this invasion (from their eyes) and is pure Sviber he was almost acceptable as a leader.

General Drake finally broke through the mountain pass, three days behind schedule. However, his troops were exhausted, and the casualties too great, leaving him unable to conduct another assault. Apart from some light raids and incursions, his forces would have to wait to be resupplied and rested before he could join any final assault on Svibeeris. This being said, he did order some of his artillery to bombard outer Sviber positions, and began fortifying the pass again, this time form the opposite side.

IC: The Allandium soldiers continued to march onwards in Sviber territory. Fueled by brilliant morale, the army continued to invade many more cities across the country. Allandium military advisors have been sent to the Kingdom of Sviberstan to train militia to defend the Kingdom against the Sviber military.

There would be a very strange occurrence. The fighting had stopped. Trained soldiers were nowhere to be seen, the citizens would openly surrender and swear fealty to the new Kingdom of Sviberstan. Passes would lay undefended. All traces of the Sviber's legendary morale disappeared as the path to Svibeeris was perceivably left open.

The Allandium soldiers were confused as they continued to march to Svibeeris. They saw no soldiers, just civilians surrendering. Many paranoid and cynical soldiers thought that this was a trap, but the soldiers carried on. Maybe the government has surrendered? No one in the invasion force really knows. Even as Svibeeris was sighted, there was no conflict. No soldiers. Everyone seemed to be defecting to the Kingdom. This was incredibly unusual. Even High Command took notice, and immediately sent a letter to the Emperor about this.
