President Muhammad Abdul of Kanatistan served the people for years, he was guardian for life of Kanatistan and head of the Kanatistan Communist party. After bringing the country out of tyrannical monarchy he served as a good dictator. After seeing that the people knew how to run themselves he resigned from office, the people made it where no leader would serve after him and the country was ruled by the People's Assembly. After 3 months of being out of office he was shot by an Ujjanistanian Extremist

Now the Ujjanistanian emperor, Azeem II, has ordered and invasion of Kanatistan. Will the pacifist nation survive? Will Communism beat Nazism? Will democracy beat monarchy? Only time will tell...

In order to quickly stop the Ujjanistanian invasion General Ravodish has ordered 1,00 fully armed National Guard to Buxoro, with them a mob of untrained and poorly armed civilians and an armored corps of 20 "Hammer Gun" Kazakh T-72B Tanks. Their job is to defend the city at all costs, if they have to give their lives so be it, no Ujjanistanian will take Buxoro without first killing every last person within...

Back in Astana General Daniyal Abdul has called the Habbu-Marrik into assembly.
"Greetings Comrades," he says as he addresses the thousands of men and women in The Liberty Square outside Habbu-Marrik Head Quarters in Astana, Kazakh Province, Kanatistan. "Today thousands of people have died, civilian, military, or invader. No matter who dies it will leave a hole n the earth. We must end this war quickly and powerfully! Who will conquer us?! Who will enslave us?! NO ONE!" He gives the left handed military salute, "I will lay down my life before I see this union die!"

The crowd of militia cheers. Daniyal has the ability to inspire and the young man has been made into much more than a general.

Emperor Azeem II "the Great" of Ujjanistan realizes a problem while speaking with leading generals and military advisers: International Interference.
Although International Law states regulations on Chemical, Biological and Nuclear Weapons, Ujjanistan has been making them and researching them for years ever since Azeem I started "Operation Tamerlane" in 1998. If they were to use such weapons they would surely win the war and stop any and all uprising, but as previously noted international interference would end such hope for a quick victory. Thus at 11:00 AM a televised threat was sent to the international community:

Standing at a podium with the Ujjanistanian flag draped multiple times on the walls of the Imperial Palace, The Emperor with his elite guard behind him gave a very loud and threatening speech in Persian.

"People of the world, both inferior and otherwise accepted, the Imperial Monarchy of Ujjanistan warns you: If you interfere with the destruction of the Communist Forces running under illegal government that had taken power two decades ago, WE WILL CRUSH YOU! Our supreme races knows no laws! God has set us apart from all others and he is on MY SIDE!" He points at the crowd and addresses them," For God, Emperor, and Empire! WE SHALL NOT FAIL! Down with the infidels!"

The crowd salutes simultaneously "FOR GOD!- salute -FOR EMPEROR- salute -FOR EMPIRE!"

Vivoean fighters of the 62nd Fighter wing screamed across the Kanatistani skies, AD111 and AD113 aircraft secured the surrounding airspace. Once a holding pattern was set up the transports came in, massive jet powered beasts hit a hard landing on a tiny private air field just three hundred kilometres from the border of Kanatistan. As the massive transport planes finally slowed and the first one pulled off the runway and opened the rear doors the first soldiers on the ground were members of the 52nd Airborne Division, specifically the first battalion of the 8th Commando Regiment.

These first men and women quickly set about making a defensive perimeter surrounding the tiny airstrip. The first hundred and twenty soldiers quickly moved into positions but it was unnecessary, the enemy was still several hundred kilometers away gathering their strength for an assault that would no doubt come in the next day or two. It was well known that the nation of Kanatistan was largely undefended except for a few small professional military units and some civilian militia. First battalion of the 8th Commando would unload and assist with creating a capable FOB out of the airstrip, second, third, fourth and fifth battalions would be either airdropped, driven or flown into the city of Buxoro. The second battalion landed first on the outskirts, on the side away from the enemy. They came down on parachutes and landed in the loosely populated region to avoid hitting buildings as they landed. Eight hundred soldiers of 2nd Battlion, 8th Commando Regiment swiftly moved into the city divided into seven companies. Their task was to link up with the local resistances and organize an effective defence lest the first battle in this war turn to a pointless loss of life. It would be a few hours before reinforcements from the airstrip now known as FOB Falk would have choppers and vehicles to move forces to the city of Buxoro. For the moment at least there was a huge city with barely two thousand trained defenders, the rest an unruly mob of civilian militia would be ineffective at best without clear leadership and training. It would be best to mix the well trained soldiers throughout the ranks of militia in order to inspire the civilians to fight as well as the professional soldiers.

General Ravodish speaks at the Assembly.

"Men and Women, Comrades! Today we have been ravaged on the border! I request full permission to use our chemical weapons, specifically Nerve and Mustered Agents. If we are to win the war we must use these. I will only use nuclear weapons if in dire need! Please, for the people!" He then gives a left fist salute.

One delegate stands: "Why should we grant you the power to kill thousands of people?", other delegates agree.

"Because if you don't how will we win against the Imperials?" He points south, "They are burning and killing right as we speak and you still deny me the right to win the war!" He then looks at the senator, "The object of war is not to die for your country, but to make the other bastard die for his!"

Another senator stands, "Then we shall vote," he steps to the middle of the room, "All opposed?"

97 senators raise their hands... Ravodish smiles, "All for?"

Vivoe had been borne in a brutal Nuclear-Biological-Chemical war which had killed hundreds of millions in fifty years. For this historical reason Vivoean troops had always been equipped with combat armour capable of protecting a user in the most horrific conditions, the latest variant of this armour was the Versailles Mark XII Heavy Combat Armour. Featuring a build of titanium and graphene plates, IFF and HUD and advanced night fighting technology it is the most advanced combat armour developed to date. Making use of a full body, air tight design it drastically reduces the risk of chemical and biological weapons as well as increasing armour coverage and reducing exposed skin. The armour itself improves survivability against shock waves, shrapnel and slow or low calibre bullets it by no means makes the user invincible. A "traditional" soviet AK-47 firing a 7.62mm bullet can defeat the armour in the same way it could a standard military vest though glancing blows, shots from long distances and hits to heavily armoured sections are often stopped and protect the user leaving them with bruising and welts rather than holes.

While Vivoe as a nation had seen chemical warfare, these soldiers had not. Everyone had been trained and even with the Versailles it was still a dangerous prospect, a malfunctioning air filter, an imperfect seal, a bullet whole in the armour, any of these could spell disaster for a soldier exposed to Sarin or VX. While they looked menacing in their full body titanium armour it was the militia soldiers nearby who would suffer from their government's decision to escalate the battle. They didn't have the NBC suits needed to survive and even if they were given a respirator or gas mask, VX and Sarin could still be absorbed through the skin and kill just as easily. Every hour that the enemy took to arrive in the city gave another hour for the Vivoeans to dig into buildings, position machine guns and concealed firing positions and bring more forces into the city. At last count they were up to fifteen hundred commandos, a large chunk of the entire Commando Regiment.

Near the city of Buxoro 2,000 Ujjanistanian infantry burn the homes of people nearby. They have been instructed by General Anyub Khan, Azeem's second cousin, to attack civilians in order to get the defending army to leave the city. Until then 40 T-13A tanks (Ujjanistans large armor) fire upon the city while F15 fighter jets shoot down any and all air traffic attempting to aid the city. Snipers are told to shoot on sight anyone not wearing a recognized Ujjanistanian Uniform.

In the mountains of Tajikistan men are told to use mustard gas in order to empty villages. Bombing raids are being carried out on all major cities in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Few soldiers have been sent to Uzbekistan.

Vivoean troops held position in the city of Buxoro, it was key to any progression into the country and had to be held at all costs. A steady supply of vehicles and soldiers had began building up into the city as Vivoe managed to set up a supply line into the area. With news of chemical weapons being used on civilians Vivoe would soon be increasing troops presence across the country in an effort to save lives.

With recent bombing runs and air raids Vivoe has begun sending anti-aircraft weapons to augment the defensive capability of the capital and a few major cities, while this won't completely stop the raids it will increase the losses they suffer each time a bombing run is attempted.

"Sir Buxoro is besieged, frequent bombing raids have been reported and I have unconfirmed reports of Chemical weaponry being used on civilians!" Colonel Eberam explains as he talks to General Daniyal Abdul of the Habbu-Marrik, son of the assassinated President Muhammad Abdul.
"I understand friend but direct action will lead to more deaths! We must cut the invaders supply lines first!" He points to the map on the table, "We attack here!"
"Sir, that is Turkmenabat! We can't cross the borders!"
"Says who? Senerdin? He is a fool who cares nothing about the people! He would hang publicly if it were not for my fathers fame."
"That is the point we cannot let you be harmed!"
"WE WILL ATTACK!" Daniyal is adamant
"Sir-" Eberam is cut off.
"DISMISSED!" Daniyal yells, Eberam hurries out of the room.

2,000 soldiers and 50 tanks cross the border the next day. They are to attack the supply lines of the Ujjanistanian army and burn down the city of Turkmenabat's farmland. No food is to go to the enemy, no reinforcements, and no supplies. The Habbu-Marrik wants to get the Ujjanistanian army to turn and attack them, thus the siege would be lifted.

Upon hearing of the movements of the Abdul's army Senerdin smiles. He has one thing to say, "Capture him."

The Habbu-Marrik special forces deployed to capture Major General Senerdin Ravodish and rescue General Daniyal Abdul moves through the mountains of Tajikistan. They are in sight of the secret military fortress. Keeping low in order to stay out of detection of snipers they move in 40 men and women armed with M16s and Shotguns under the command of Colonal Eberam begin their assualt. 4 sentries fall dead as bullets fly threw the air! The remaining take cover and begin to counter attack. A dozen or so guards appear out of the main bunker, a siren sounds. Eberam orders his men to hold their fire and yells "Men of Kanatistan, why do you murder your kin." The gun fire stops, "Release Abdul, your shepherd's son!"
"What are you doing fire!" A commander shouts.
He is immediately put down by his men who march into the facility. In an hour forty men are lined up for resisting the release of Abdul, who stands watching.
"Don't kill them." he says.

1,000 infantry move south to fight the guerrllas that were trying to cut their supplylines. 2,000 more Persian foot-soldiers move north to reinforce the 1,000 Imperial Infantry, with them they bring mustard gas, trench guns, 3 edged knives and even more importantly they are secretly bringing 2 small nuclear missles that they plan on using on cities after Buxoro falls. The southern force circles north to fight the enemy from the north while the forces around Buxoro miles away begin the final assault. Thousands of Infantry smash against the enemy as tanks advance and fire. The aircraft drop powerful bomb on the city and fortifications as well as shoot at enemy soldiers and tanks. Chemical weapons of all kinds are used on soldiers.

The advance faces brutal defense but they fight on, often being burned by fire and chemicals from both enemy and friendly weapons. They are to take no prisoners.

Advances are being carried out all over, in Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. Nuclear bombs are being prepared for the Kazakhstan cities.

In response to the sudden and escalating battle that has presented itself in the north with the sudden troop deployments Vivoe has decided to take action. The 2nd Armoured Division with the 16th Commando Regiment to assist in the form of mechanized infantry, soldiers that rode in Panther IFVs. The Panther IFVs were tracked vehicles, armoured and with a low profile with offensive capability in the form of a turret that used a 90mm main gun and laser guided anti-tank guided missiles or ATGM for short. Each vehicle could carry ten soldiers, making it three Panthers to each platoon of soldiers.

120 HA130 heavy tanks along with 30 FA115 light tanks and 100 Panther IFVs each carrying ten soldiers were moved to the north to reinforce friendly forces currently operating in the region. These units would attack targets of opportunity that present themselves and sit back until a decisive or large combat between the two sides becomes apparent.

Daniyal smiles at the reading of the paper, he is surprised that Ravodish would not have a hire price for him dead.
"We will have our men charge out of Buxoro. They must do their part. For every Kanat Soldier killed five Ujjanistanians will die. My father died because he loved the world, if I must to, I will." He motions to his officers to leave.
"Comrade, We will fight to the last man and woman!" One declared, "As long as we have a comrade left standing for his land, the empire will not take the republic."
"That is why I will fight alongside you."

As the fighting grows, the soldiers and militia in Buxoro go on the offensive, 3,000 National troops and 2,000 militia fire upon the enemy. 100 B-10 Fox Tanks crush enemy soldiers. They are instructed to surrender now, fight to the death, or achieve victory. There is no other way.

Since ujjanistan is gone I declare the war over. After months of fighting this is what happened:

About 10,000 estimated civilian casualties for the Kanat
About 56,000 soldiers dead combined for Militia, Mob, National Army and Tribal soldiers on the Kanat side.
Millions of dollars in damage on the Kanat side.
550,000 people displaced and homeless in Kanatistan.
General Ravodish and his supporters were executed by The Saifullah Front, an Islamic Socialist movement that raided the government center at the end of the war, the militant group took power and allowed Abdul to be president until the Habbu-Marrik tried taking power and he was deposed and put in prison.
I lost the cities of Kulyab and Khorog.

Ujjanistan lost 16,000 civilians.
60,000 casualties to your army from Vivoe and Kanat soldiers.
2,000 displaced and homeless
1 million dollars in damage.

Vivoe can decide his casualties if he wishes.
In the end an armistice is declared and outposts and soldiers are built up in the border in a Korean sort of way. No Ujjanistanians are allowed in Kanatistan and Uiska Islam is outlawed.
