Couple of jets but that's about it. You show a large amount of force and you can expect the NTRO to respond violently and quickly.

How about a battalion of Sentinels?

It's my T1 force. They're organized in 1,000-man battalions that are set in when the Army isn't up to the task. Honestly, I usually send them on suicide missions, where they always seem to eke out a survival with most of their unit intact.

The best of these Sentinels are pushed in the Spec-Ops Squads, which is what I have here: 3rd Special Operations Squad, 1st Sentinel Battalion.

Well, to be fair, I actually own a 135 mm nuclear artillery round, as well as a 120 mm round, yet I don't use it unless needed.

I don't have nuclear weapons.

But I have nuclear fusion plants that power large swaths of my country.

Your PMT country, I assume. :eyebrow:

Just checking, because PW is a primarily MT thing, so it's odd to be discussing PMT affairs on it.

OP move to a new thread in the works, some contemplation on where or what ATLAS uses as their base of operations, and even lesser contemplation on the idea of a training RP for the new people.

EDIT:which I have a thought on the training RP part.

You have an AI that assists the Platinum Soldiers. I want to hear no arguments on how strict you expect us to be with MT.

Okay, you've got me there. Fair enough.

Edit: BTW, I was thinking of posting an app for my puppet soon, mainly so I can get your opinions on it. And I mean very soon.

Just to clarify, I am Congreveopia's puppet nation.

Name of Nation: Hale Isles
Name of Warfighter: Hale Isles Special Operations Group
Warfighter Loadout:

Firearms (regular)
Heckler & Koch HK416 assault rifle (various barrel options)
Heckler & Koch AG-C/GLM (commonly used with HK416)
Heckler & Koch MP5 submachine gun
    SIG Sauer P226 semi-automatic pistol
    FN Minimi LMG
    Carl Gustav recoilless rifle
Firearms (unusual)
    Remington 870 shotgun
Heckler & Koch PSG 1 semi-auto sniper rifle
    Remington 700 bolt-action rifle
    UKM-200 machine gun
    Barrett M82 anti-materiel rifle
    Saab Bofors Dynamics AT4
    Rafael Spike
Explosives
    C-4 Explosive charge
    M18 smoke grenade
    M18 Claymore mine
    MM-1 Minimore mine
    M67 fragmentation grenade
Mini-frag grenade (derived from the V40)
Clothing
    Improved Outer Tactical Vest (medium)
    Modular Body Armor Vest (light)
    MOLLE carrying system
    LWH (medium)
    ECH (light)
    Waterproof headset
Fury Commando Gloves with Kevlar (heavy or light variants)
    Modular Boot System
Combat goggles or glasses (soldier’s choice)
Clothing (unusual)
    Gasmask
Heavy armor suit (bomb defusal or anti-ballistics variants)
Supplies
    Ammo carried with MOLLE system
Food carried in backpack, if deemed necessary for operation
Water bladder as part of MOLLE system
    Water purifiers carried
Solar Panel optional on most backpacks
Equipment
    Survival gear (multi-tool, rope, etc.)
    Combat Knife
    Medical Kit
    Night vision goggles
    Rangefinder
    AeroVironment Wasp III
    Flashlight

Note that they no not carry all of these on every mission. That would be absurd. They select a loadout from the options listed here individually for each mission.

Biography of Warfighter:

The Hale Isles Special Operations Group was created for a fairly ignoble but common purpose: the government wanted to mess in other nations’ affairs. Following The Disengagement of 1984 when Congreveopia granted total autonomy to the Hale Isles, the Hale Isles Armed Forces were left with a disorganized militia, outdated equipment, and a treaty of protection with Congreveopia that would expire in five years. The government, not willing to bet their newfound freedom solely on being able to rebuild the military in five years, quickly entered into the WA for protection. Three years down the line, and with the security council breathing down Hale Isles’s neck to contribute forces, the Hale Isles Special Operations Group was created to provide the government with a force that could be deployed to distant wars without drawing units from the main branches of the still-weakened military. It has since expanded into several roles with units designed to perform tasks ranging from counter-terrorism to elite maritime combat. At heart, though, the group is still designed as soldiers ready for deployment to anywhere on the globe, to fight any opponent. As such, the group has seen by far the most action of any branch of the military, and receives the latest weapons and tech from the government; firstly because they need it most, and secondly because they allow it to be field-tested quickly and under extreme conditions.

RP Experience (Example or Link): I’m Congreveopia.
Techlevel: MT
Other: There are four people per squad (this really should be a question on the app)

I could also cite the Congreveopian Fortress, but that's okay. :P

I'm talked about my power-armored Vanguard before on here, surprised you didn't point it out then.

and I think the app says MT or PMT is fine.

Hale, how could you ? =s
You left my Battle Group in some contested waters without
further orders. It would be nice to be able to dock and fortify
them isles of yours. Its a shame that you were a mere puppet to
Congre. I feel lied to now :meh:

Sorry, man. I was mainly trying to trick Exantos and Llamaopia (the latter of whom saw through me right away).

I thought throughout the RP that you had just decided to be inactive, though, because by the time you'd edited your deployment post so that it had an actual deployment I could respond to in it, there were six new posts on the IC, and I didn't notice it. It died shortly thereafter anyways, though, so no big loss.

So... Why a puppet?

Is everyone just going to apply with their puppets now? Is this gonna be a thing?

Oh. Today's Friday. New OP Day. That means I need to do that.

Fuck.

So... Why a puppet?

Well for me, I wanted two different nations for two separate situations. Congreveopia is for when I want to be a gigantic, technologically advanced empire; and Hale Isles is for when I want to play a small (compared to other nations on NationStates) nation, having to get by on my wits alone.

Hey Congrev, I replied to you.

Oh, and have you seen my rp with my small puppet? It's diplomatic, and it might be cool to have Hale Isles involved in it. Look up A New Life in International Incidents.
