>> What is Project Warfighter?

It is high time a group of people were formed with like-minded ideas and the urge to RP as their nations premier special operations forces! Yes, there are military RP groups on NS, and military realism, but this group specifically RPs stories in which their Tier One Special Forces ( Seal Team Six, as an example) operating in operational operations across the globe. The goal of this group is to experience Military Realism like never before, and take it to the next level.

They are the best of the best; the pride of a nation, and the fear of all who oppose it. These forces are specialized in unconventional warfare and tactics, ranging from Hostage Rescue all the way to Nuclear Ordinance Disarmament. They're swift, silent, and they won't hesitate to drop their enemies in a moment's notice. These are the ultimate Special Forces of your nation, akin to the United States Navy SEALs, British S.A.S., and Polish GROM.

Forged in fires lit long ago, they'll win any engagement, they're one of a kind, and they'll bring death to where ever they go - just another river of blood running under their feet.

Biography of Warfighter:

S.T.I.G.R.U. was founded in 1975, following numerous Terrorist threats in the Emmerian homeland. The first operators on the field were a combined force of Navy Marines and Garrison Rangers, however soon afterwards, Air Corps Recon personnel joined. They endure the most grueling training and selection process on the planet, with incidents of recruits dying on the training fields recorded every so often. It takes an unbreakable will, an intelligent mind, and a steady trigger finger to join the ranks of these fabled warriors. Once complete with the rigorous training, each of the members receives an injection of NanoMachines, which improves their battle field prowess ten fold, suppressing pain and often integrated into their H.U.D.s to provide a better out look on an individual soldier. To the Governments of the World, they do not exist.
To the People of the Free World, they are the hope, the light in the dark. They are the Special Tactics and Intervention Group.

Weapons:

-ACR rifle. Optics are red dot sight on top of 6x sight.
-AT4 rocket launcher. The sight will automatically find the target's range (if it's not too far away) and mark where you should fire to hit it.
-M11 silenced pistol. Also includes underbarrel laser.
-Mini-Crossbow. Pretty useless, but someone made a lot of jobs for their city by ordering these things. Fires explosive darts (which completely remove the stealthiness), incendiary darts, and regular darts.

Equipment:

Explosives:

-1 Standard fragmentation grenade.
-2 Mini-fragmentation grenades.
-1 Purple smoke grenade.
-2 Flashbangs. Only one is on the belt. The other is in the backpack.
-1 Red and 1 green flare. Both in the backpack.
-3 MM1 "Minimore" anti-personnel mines.

Drone stuff:

-1 Waterproof hardened smartphone-like device. Controls drones, acts as radio, shows maps, acts as GPS, plays angry birds...
-1 Mini-heli that is manually controlled and has a camera on it.
-2 (recoverable) camera balls. You throw it in a room and it takes panorama images as it flies.

Interchangeable (you only carry one, together a squad has at least one of each):
-1 Quadrotor helicopter. Does mapping of buildings and target acquisition.
-1 Four wheeled manually controlled car that has a pistol-like cannon that can shoot and an explosive charge it can drop off the back.
-1 Javelin drone. Laser mark a target and it will fly out and blow it up. Probably can kill anything lighter than a tank.

Clothing (all is waterproof):

-Grip gloves
-Standard boots
-Environmental Protection shirt and pants. Won't stop a bullet, but it'll stop you from freezing to death in winter.
-Tactical Goggles. Information from drones and other sources can be projected onto them.
-Helmet with two cameras (IR and regular), headlamp and integrated headphones and mic.
-Equipment vest
-Light backpack.

Other:

-Small amount of food in the backpack. Water bladder also, as well as water purifiers.
-Standard survival gear (striker lighter, multi tool, rope, etc.)
-Carbon fiber knife.
-Standard medical kit (everyone has medical training).
-Rangefinder, laser designator, binocular combo.
-Flashlight
-Thermal imaging goggles
-Solar powered waterproof watch with integrated barometer, altimeter, and compass. Predicts the weather based on barometer.
-Solar recharger for other electronics.
-Gasmask is carried in backpack in case it's needed.

For longer duration missions:

-More ammo
-More explosives
-More food
-More water (if it's expected that they won't be able to obtain it).

Specialisations:

-Drone operator: Has all three drones and also a deployable antenna to increase range.
-Marksman: ACR rifle modified for marksman use. Carries a mini-helicopter that can fly out to measure wind and calculate long range shots.
-Anti-Materiel: Uses FGM-148 Javelin instead of AT4. Also carries 2 anti-tank mines, and other types of grenades. Also carries one large explosive charge.


Biography on Warfighter:

The Platinum Soldiers were created out of necessity when Congreveopia grew too big to stay out of world politics. Rather than having generations of tradition and elite training to support them, they welcomed change and innovation, and the foundation of their power is their equipment. There is no project to expensive to not get funded by the Platinum Soldiers. This, however, does mean that they aren't as naturally good as most other teams (despite being better than regular soldiers), and without their equipment they'll get eaten alive.

Weapons: Heckler and Koch HK416 assault rifle + AS50 Sniper Rifle+ F-2000 assault rifle. Heckler and Kock USP
Equipment: various forward grips and red dot sights and several different ranged scopes. Bipod for snipah and silencers for the pistols. DayZ + Call of Duty logic here but fast mags. (2 magazines duct taped together) Several frag grenades, flares, and smokes. Dragon armor with Shear thickening fluid(think of oobleck but better) Also that cut down on the weight. They have several M-18 claymores mines which are activated by a sliver of nanoweave wire and the ammo within if pointed towards a wall will ricochet up and across the wall. (steel balls)Also they wear bulletproof helmets and urban camo clothing on top of their armor. Duct tape. Also all of this stuff is possible but you have to do some research to find out information about it. Also regular military grade night vision. Not green night vision but the type that enhances human vision.
Biography on warfighter: Golden Legion was formed as Exantos’s special forces. They were formed to do the missions and get down and dirty when other units couldn’t be called in or couldn’t come in and do what had to be done. They are completely dislocated from the Exantonian government, so that Exantos can't be called to account for anything the Golden may do. They have been part of the Qubecian and RavenForce wars. Also in the United Nations of Secoritan apocalypse. They have also seen combat in multiple other combat against terrorist agencies and revolutions in countries. They are equipped with gear that is above average gear than the normal soldier. They also if being completely dislocated from their technology are able to function and can get mission assignments completed if they have a gun and a few magazines. I am saying that they are much better than the normal soldier. They have a bond as they are all misfits within their society, and that brings them together into a group of badasses. Scientific experiments gone wrong, sons with traitorous fathers, patriotic psycopaths. You know the usual stuff.

Squad member attending:
Bannerman Phil Smith: He was a science experiment from birth to create a mindless killing machine. (I’m sure everyone has this question in their issues every now and then)However he was different from the system. As he although created into a ruthless killing machine retained a shred of his humanity was able to logically assume why someone had to die. After his rebellion against the system his handles realized that it would be illegal to keep him locked up and he was implemented into the Exantonian spec-ops at the age of 14. As time progressed he rose in the ranks until he was 25 when he became a Bannerman after saving a superior officers life in a mission gone horribly wrong. He has since served Exantos to the best of his ability. He is the ordinance technician of the group preferring to use the F-2000 assault rifle.
Squadman James Smith: James Smith was brought up hunting with his father. As he was brought up he learned a great deal of his country and became extremely nationalistic. Upon reaching the right age he signed up for the ENDF and began to fight for the country. He had expert aim and became known as an expert marksman. Soon he was approached by Golden legion officials and he joined the Exantos Golden Legion. He has recently joined but has fought in several wars and knows what to do. He is seen as the little boy in the group except when he’s wielding his AS50. Then you want to try and get away as fast as you can.
Sergeant Ricky Picard: Sergeant Picard was behind the creation of Tango squad. After joining the Golden legion, as a standard officer he realized that the Golden legion forces had no special groups for missions that would go beyond the call of duty. Pulling together some other officers he put a plan forward in front of the Exantonian Intelligence services to form the Tango squadrons. Otherwise known as the Raven team. Other information is classified.
Corporal Jacob Place: *classified information* Only known things. Put through rigorous training and eventually rose through the ranks of the Golden legion. Eventually selected for experimentation and was one of only 15 successful experiments. Out of around 250 soldiers. Also an orphan.

Gear:
Helmet: Tactical Special Forces Combat helmet. This combat helmet is built using a light titanium/carbon alloy, which allows it to remain lightweight and sturdy, with a layer of Kevlar padding the inside. It is jet black, with a specialized white snow camouflage cover that can be attached. However, it is covered in a green mesh that can attach other camo on it. It features a wireless comms system that can resist jamming, as well as EMP attacks. On the sides of the helmet are ear pads, which upon sensing extremely high sounds, blocks them out to avoid ear injury.
Eyes: Special aviators that contain a very small chip, unnoticeable to most people. The aviators hook up and display both the squad's vital signs, as well as the area radar. Can switch to night vision.
Ears: Hooked up to the aviators, but assists in both communications and a speaker, which can hear surrounding sounds, and amplify them.
Neck: Dog tags with chip implant, as well as a collar, which measures vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, body temperature, and pain signals. Hanging on a chain is also a gas mask, which filters out the air if needed.
Chest: Contains an outer layer of Zylon, an inner carbon plate, the inside is filled with a high performance dilatant. It contains specific plates for vital organs to absorb the shock. Contains pouches for ammunition, as well as slits for a knife, or pistol.
Belt: Hard leather tactical belt with pouches for ammunition, a canteen, a sheath for a bayonet, two pistol holsters, and can hold a sheath for a sword. Has lightweight Zylon flaps that protect the groin, butt, and thighs, yet do not impede movement.
Legs, Arms, and Joints: TALOS Body Armor
Wrist: Personal microphone for amplification of sounds, as well as an area radar.
Gloves: Tactical grip gloves with nylon covering, as well as padding on the back of the hand.
Boots: Hard leather/Zylon boots with steel soles and toes. Ankle holds a holster for a pistol, as well as a knife.
Clothes: Olive green tactical uniform with light weight quick dry fabrics. In the winter, a jet black, or white, wool trench coat is issued.

Biography of Warfighter:
Vladimir: Führer of DEN at age 45, he weighs 220 pounds and is over six feet high, pure muscle. First joined the Emperial Guard before being drafted into the SS, he joined the Death Korps after obtaining the rank of Captain, at five years of service. Considered the leader of the group.
Samson: Officially an Air Force pilot, he joined Spetznaz and became a helicopter pilot. Now the medic of the group, he is the rank of private, with multiple medals.
Johnson: The Air Force's best pilot, he was famous for having the most kills of any ace in his country. After joining the Air Force, he was conscripted into the Spetznaz at the rank of Sergeant, but rose to Commissar later. Still famous as a pilot, he kept up the air time, while still remaining Death Korps soldier.
Sarge: An old veteran of the SS, he is a hardened fighter. Most well known for his expertise on demolitions. Officially the demolitions expert, and engineer.
Robin: Humorously named Robin, he is the Ranger of the group. Known for his extreme agility, he is a master marksman, and can shoot JFK's head on a half dollar a mile away.

Part of the original 30 created as a task force for the newly formed Roskian Marine Corp, these are the survivors of an assassination attempt gone very wrong.

Jason Domingo is only known by Vechek Dorssky. He is dubbed "Thunder 4-1", and no one in the military, still alive, is aware of his real name.
The only known unwiped documents of his existence show two moves, and three schools. He moved from New Lexington at a very young age, and then moved to Roski three years before joining the Roskian Marines. Little else is known
Miguel Verchesnky: Age: 27 DOB: 12/1/1993 (ik date is off) Marriage Status: Widower
Miguel (pronounced as spelled) has very few records, as he never really amounted to anything until High School. After attending Stalin High School in Old Russo, he played a single sport; soccer. He was also an academic achiever, and won two different presidential awards for acing what is considered to be the hardest test in Roski. But, at 17, he dropped out to join the Roskian Marines. He was wounded during the attempted assassination of the leader of Zerinfriom, which resulted in most of the Team 24 being decimated.

BIOGRAPHY: A graduate of New Hayesalia's Military Academy and a veteran of conflicts in Zellatia and Missouri, Lieutenant Rothgow served as a Lieutenant and Captain in the 3rd Legion's infantry and airborne task forces and as a Captain in the 1st Commando Division and Special Reconnaissance Service. With an excellent example of service and ability, Rothgow successfully applied for and passed BASTION training and became a part of 3 BASTION at the rank of Second Lieutenant. Showing excellence, Rothgow received his re-promotion and was accepted to the 14th Division of BASTION- the most combat capable unit in the New Hayesalian Army.

Biography on Warfighter:
n amalgamation of the Special Forces of the Hayesalian Union, Amalgamation saw the formation of the 4,000 strong- now 10,000- Battlefield Assault, Strategic, Tactical & Innovative Operations Node or more commonly, BASTION. The unit is named for the Battle of Hollow Bastion, one of the most chaotic and violent in history and a major reason for the formation of the Hayesalian Union and therefore New Hayesalia. In a military of millions of men and women, these few soldiers are the New Hayesalian Governments high-risk, high-danger mission experts with an unrivaled capacity for warfighting.

In the Missourian Rebels War, the SN were credited with a higher unit effectiveness ratio than any other- neutralizing over a battalion of rebel soldiers with zero casualties. They also conducted numerous sabotage operations, and gave way to a landslide New Hayesalian coalition victory. The BASTION lifestyle is one of curiosity. Given free reign to do basically whatever they wish and given whatever they need, the BASTION are a highly private force. There is no real way to identify a BASTION soldier, but BASTION soldiers recognise each other easily. They train under their rank and an assumed name, and their identities are not often revealed. With the highest fitness and educational requirements in the NHM, and the ability to be deployed anywhere on any mission at anytime, the standard of training is as high as can be. When not serving overseas, the BASTION train as the OPFOR, fighting regular NH forces in wargames. To join the BASTION, a candidate must be recommended by a board of officers from the unit and successfully pass initial training of two months long, and train further on probation for three years. Minimum requirements include a length of previous service of over five years, high levels of fitness and intelligence, and an obvious capacity to join the unit. Details are never fully published as to what training involves: this surprise means candidates must be prepared for anything.

BASTION is made up of the top 0.01% of the New Hayesalian Military. While some nations recruit to the top 1%, the New Hayesalian Military was unsatisfied with this and pushed the limits even further. In 2010, BASTION was formed. Made up of approximately 5,000 soldiers, the unit has it's numbers pulled from the instructors and highly performing members of other special units, such as the Army Pararescue, Combat Intelligence Gathering Unit, Marine and Airborne Legions, the SRS, et cetera.

Training is an eight-week course, where mind and body are tested to absolute limits. Candidates are expected to be able to learn anything and remember it well, as well as be able to apply it. In training, textbooks on subjects ranging from nuclear weapons to foreign small arms are issued and must be read and the knowledge practically applied in training sometimes one day later. This is in addition to other training, where food and sleep is little and far between, and candidates have no expectations of what will come next. Training is entirely practical in nature: candidates are expected to be fit enough to perform the training with no PT. Training takes place in locations all around New Hayesalia and Paddy O Fernature, from the alpine mountains of Piltomana to the deserts of Quepasa. OPFOR, usually made up of current BASTION and STU soldiers, is often present.

Members of BASTION hold a high number of mandatory qualifications. While members of 1 through 9 BASTION have slight differences as to which qualfications are and are not required, members of 14 BASTION are required to maintain most qualifications to a high-level instructor rating at all times in the unit. Ah, well alright then. :)

So, RPs are going to need some more players, preferably some Opposing Force. I'm going to make two teams, Opposing Force and Blue Force. Opposing Force is generally offensive, and Blue Force is generally defensive. No team is wholly good or bad, but Opposing Force will be on the 'bad' team more often.

Cool, BTW are we going to get to use external assets in any of these things? Ex: satellites, air support, cyber warfare, etc.

Not for the next one. The next one will be relative civilian clothing, light tactical gear, and stealth.

Okay, but what I mean is can we have all the support that we normally would? I mean, typically my guys are in constant contact with Nexus and high command and are getting info on what's going on around them from a satellite. Is that okay, assuming we are in a setting where that would be reasonable? I'm okay either way, but I'd prefer if my guys had their support, because it creates a more realistic environment.

Taskforce Atlas gets captured, nobody really has anything. Minimal gear and weapons can be procured from the capture-ees armory, which consists of the confiscated weapons and gear. But they would have most likely fragged any communications equipment.

Ha, no, because it's a Tier One. That usually means they don't NEED support in the form of armor or others.
