Staring out to the shore of the island of Hokkaido, General Matt Cordell surveyed the situation. While thinking of the trouble, a soldier approached him with the info he needed most.

"Sir, we have sent a few recon planes and it seems that the Fed have already prepared for total war. Hacking into their crude database, we found out that they have an estimated 20M land troops, 4K planes from the Fed HQ, another 4K planes captured from Karrift Airbase, and 5K submarines surrounding Tokyo," the soldier said, and the general signaled that he should leave.

This will be the first war that will ever be fought on Windican soil. The Karrift (meaning goodwill in Windican), formerly called the Japanese, have never resented Windican rule, and this was a first. However, the general was quite comforted by the idea that the rebels on Karrift were not Karrift citizens; they were from the Federalist faction, a group wanting Windica to be ruled by the Federation, a cult trying to overthrow the imperial family. The thing was, the Federation is powerful both within the Empire and out, so the faction is really hated in the country.

As the first-ever civil war of Windica looms to a start, the Empire now calls on its friendly neighbors for help...

We of Thoricia would like to offer our assistance to the Windican Empire in the form of one army corps with a complete compliment of armor and helicopter support, we feel strongly that this is an unwarrented atttack on a peaceful government and will do everything in our power to halt this aggresive attack. However at this time we cannot commit naval forces or air support until an inventory on all active naval squadrons and all active air wings is done, once this is done though we may be able to commit more forces.

Massive amounts of troops were being loaded up into several C-250 super Hercules transports, along with them scores of tanks, APC's, artillary pieces, and various other vehicles were loaded, even helicopters were stuffed into the massive transports. Taking off the circled lazily above the airfield as two fighter squadrons of F-15Js also took off to provide air cover for the transports until they safely reached Windican Imperial soil. After all the aircraft were in the air the changed direction and headed towards Windican soil

Empress Dora was idly browsing through a newspaper in the garden of the Imperial Palace in Neu Berlin. On the last page something interesting caught her eye; The headline read "Civil War In Windica!". After reading the story she summoned her second-in-command, Gerhard Repke, the man responsible for the military of the Puritanian Empire. Repke also read the story and smiled. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" he said. "Yes, I'm sure. We'll support the Windican Empire and take the rebel POWs as slaves, as always. If things go wrong and the rebels gain the upper hand, we'll just pull out."

Dora dictated a letter to be sent to the Pacific Bohemian government as follows:

Esteemed leaders of Windica,

The Puritanian Empire is disgusted by the actions of the Windican Federation and its leaders. We are willing to aid you in your struggle in exchange for future economic benefits and the possibility of military bases on your soil. We have the following military units availalbe to be deployed on your soil, and they will be reinforced as necessary.

- The 897th, 128th and 701st infantry divisions
- The 61st and 90th Panzer divisions
- The 802nd Artillery Division
- The 71st Bomber division
- The 13th Fighter division
- 500 Geheime Reichspolizei personell

Should you accept our proposal, the mentioned military units will arrive within a week. Please note that each division has roughly 15,000 men.

While reading the forwarded messages from the Imperial Office, General Cordell heard a knock on his door at the Renzeliata Outpost. After reading them, he forwarded them to His Holy Highness Edward Jacob VI and wondered what he could make out of them.

In his office, Emperor Edward Jacob VI is unsettled by the recent developments of the Federalist Forces. However, he had to keep his cool, for the facade of infallibility is the only thing keeping the Empire together. He checked his e-mail, sighed at the backlog of messages and telegrams, and replied to all respondents.

We are in gratitude for helping us out in our darkest of times. However, we will not be entertaining any military bases on our soil; instead, we would like to recommend a base on our colonial possessions. I hope you understand our attitude on foreign military bases, but because we have been enslaved by many nationalities in the past, we cannot afford to let any nation trespass our main territories, and the Windican populace is very opposed to building any foreign military bases. However, we are willing to build efficient trade relations with your nation, if possible.

The reach of the Dominion was great; the domain of Emperor Pudu Jilang XLII, the autocrat and so-called 'Lord of Hosts', stretched across the globe, touching dozens of colonies. Some of these, no larger than a city, some of these comprising whole continents. Between these far-flung outposts, many hundreds of Pudite captains plyed the seas. It was one of these captains who, by chance, had intercepted a communication originating from the Windican city of Tokyo that piqued the interest of the Foreign Office as soon as they heard it.

This was why, only a few hours ago, orders had come down from the Imperial Armed Forces General Staff directly to Admiral Ivashko Okhremovich. Admiral Okhremovich was one of a handful of commanders who led the non-commited fleets of the Imperial Navy. These foreces, although smaller than the home fleets, or expeditionary forces that escorted the mighty hosts of the Imperial Army, had the benefit of being available whenever and for whomever required them. A force ready to react whenever the Emperor might have needed it. This time, however, it was not the Emperor whose future depended on it; far from it, Admiral Okhremovich's orders were to make for the nation of Windica which, according to limited intelligence available, had devolved into a civil war in recent months, and was at present a state divided. Coming with the instructions was a thin dossier containing all the information the Dominion's intelligence agencies could gather at such short notice; for it was that the Frumentarii, the Pudite eyes and ears, were unfortunatly without any presence among the Windican people.

Nevertheless, Ivashko was not to be deterred. He had at his command approximately one-hundred vessels which in them bore two divisions of naval infatry of the Imperial Navy. Four aicraft carriers made up the capital compliment, led by the carrier Hope of Absolution, the admiral's flagship. This force, although miniscule by Pudite standards of warfare, was expected to be more than capable of impacting favourably the Pudite's chosen faction. In a week's time Admiral Okhremovich would arrive at the city of Tokyo, where his forty-thousand men and powerful fleet would lend to the Federalist sepratist forces the Will of his Emperor.

A message was dispatched by the commander of the Pudite Empire Prefecture, and commander of all foreign military ventures, in advance of the coming forces;

Recently information concerning the Federalist revolt against Imperial Windican rule has reached the ears of the Dominion,
 and, in seeing this need most righteous and humane, have caused for the aid of the Federal cause, the deployment of a 
force of Imperial Navy men and vessels to further the revolution. This fleet numbers one-hundred and seven ships, and 
bears with it two full divisions of Imperial Naval Infantry, all under unified command of one Admiral Okhremovich.

The Emperor, His Majesty and Lord of Hosts Pudu Jilang XLII, sees greater promise in the furtherance of the Federation 
than in the continued rule of the Windican Imperial family, and would therefore like to extend the hand of recognition and 
congratulations to the Federalist forces as they continue their brave struggle.

Sitting in the lavishly decorated Imperial Office, the Emperor had received news that Emperor Pudu had sided with the Federalist Forces. Although the Federalists were hardy opponents, tough to beat, they have been beaten soundly by the Empire through the years. The Federalists were quite rich, having their own army just waiting to invade the Empire.

Suddenly, somebody knocked at the door.

"Come in!" the Emperor announced.

The person entering was no other than one of the Emperor's best friends, leader of the Iliad Family, Isinic Iliad. Many people would shy away from him, but he has never failed to give anyone support.

"My friend, Karrift seems to be in a troublesome state," Isinic said.

"Yes, and I need all the force I could muster to defeat these pesky Federalist Forces. Between you and me, they have always wanted us out of the picture so they can add our glorious Empire to the long list of Federalist-controlled countries. Believe me, all this talk about freedom and equality under a Federalist government is trash. And nobody believes it, so the Fed has resorted to use of force."

"If then, we must use fire to fight fire now. It would be advisable to call our allies and think of a strategy. My experience in this land tells me this is not an ordinary situation."

"Indeed. Please message all who have said to support us to meet us here. For now, you will be in charge of operations in Karrift, for General Cordell has his hands full. Help him out."

"That will be done, Your Highness."

Personally, I implore the Premier to consider our warning as most dire, as I am afraid it would be rather a nuisance to 
have to undertake the legislation required to raise a whole new regiment of Imperial Guard to garrison your pitiful and 
unwisely arrogant nation once the Imperial Army has occupied and secured your lands.

Upon receiving Emperor Jacob Edward VI's message, the Puritanian Empire began preparations for war. In reality the Puritanians didn't care about the fate of the Windican Empire, they only saw a chance to gain free labour in the form of slaves and a chance give their troops some battlefield experience. They didn't care much about collateral damage either. In fact, they could care less about other nations, including their 'allies', only the Empire and its people mattered.

Osric, Eastern Puritania, 0500hrs
The city's inhabitants were woken up by loud noises in the streets. Many went to their windows and saw thousands of soldiers marching by, accompanied by tanks and other vehicles. At the docks there were dozens of massive cargo ships waiting. The regular soldiers would be accommodated in the cargo bays, while officers had their own luxurious cabins, decent food, etc. When everything was finally loaded on to the ships, they took off one by one.

Several days later, somewhere on the coast of Renzeliata, 0300hrs
General Stever stood on the bridge of his ship and watched as the troops started unloading. It was the most beautiful sight he'd ever seen he thought to himself: All that destructive power ready to be unleashed at his command. As the troops unloaded from the ships, they organised themselves and began their march towards the Windican Imperial Military Outpost, platoon after platoon.

General Stever notified the Windican Imperial troops of his arrival with a short message.

My troops have arrived as promised and will be arriving at the Windican Imperial Military Outpost later today.

There were four international ports on the Pudite homeland; the first was administered and secured wholly by the Imperial Trading Company, and even other Pudite ships were not permitted therein; the second was the Praetorian naval base, and from there sailed only the forces of the Praetorian Guard. No others were, again, welcome within; the third was the home port of the Imperial Pudite Navy Home Fleet, and entertained no other purpose. Although other ships of the Imperial Navy made use of it's very extensive facilities, the only fleet welcome that made it's home there was that of Lord Admiral Kadova; the final port was where Admiral Ivashko Okhremovich found himself waiting for his fleet to assemble. For the next few hours, all he could do was watch from shore as the dozens of remaining craft made their way to the port from their own original berths elsewhere along the coast.

He carried out this observation from the central command tower presiding over Compound Two-Seven-Five-Eight, which administered the port below it. He was alone in the room, at least, until he heard the door slide open behind him. Before he could turn, he heard a voice that identfied the speaker better than eyes could,

''Admiral, I understand you are sailing to Windica in a matter of hours,'' the voice was cold, without tone or expression,

''Yes, White, if all goes as is prescribed.'' the Admiral, however, spoke with the merest hint of disdain in his voice,

''Indeed.'' There was then a momentary pause, customary of Mr. White, but devilishly bothersome to anyone speaking to him, when he continued, he said ''Following the dossier my coleagues in the Frumentarii,'' the final word was discharged with an uncharacteristically bent, such as the listener might discern the speaker's dislike for the subject, ''More extensive information has come to light,'' another pause, before he continued, ''through sources of my own. In this way the Foreign Affairs Office has identified another ally of the Imperial Windican government as being of particular interest to the Office, and therefore has sought the expansion of your capacity to make war.''

Although until now Admiral Okhremovich had been doing his best to ignore Mr. White, this last sentence caused him to turn around, interest written on his face,

''Although the subject party need not be identified to you,''

'of course', the admiral wanted to say, ''My office has made sufficient case to successfully enlarge the forces at your command.''

''In what manner ha-'' the admiral had started to say, before he was cut off by the foreign affairs office director, ''Of course you will have to delay your departure to allow for the proper forces to gather, but it should not impact the overall effectiveness of your mission.''

''What have you given me, White?'' the admiral finaly rejoined, rather more aggresively than he perhaps wished,

''Two mechanized regiments of the Imperial Army are at this very moment gathering to join your cause.''

A slight sigh escaped the lips of the admiral, ''Are they to be under my command, or will I have some army general to answer to now?''

''A field marshal, actually, but worry not, he is to be your subordinate. Consider this a promotion. Warmaster.''

The admiral was shocked, but dismissed this quickly from his expression with military discipline, ''I assume this is official? That the proper documents have been processed? As you know I will not have the time to attend the neccessary hearings.''

''Quite. This is your hearing. You have been deemed qualified to temporarily assume command of all Pudite Armed Forces in the Windican theater.''

''How long before I can depart?''

''Field Marshal Romil will be joining us here within three days. You can depart as soon as his charges are loaded aboard their fleets.''

With that, Mr. White turned again, and was gone. Warmaster Okhremovich turned back to survey his fleet, bolstered by his new, albeit temporary, rank. Mr. White was bolstered by something entierly different. It had been a long time since he had first matched his own forces against the people of Pro Patria Puritania. This time, he would have the Imperial Army to do it for him, and the people they fought would be soldiers, not dissidents. This would be most interesting for the Foreign Affairs Office.

As the airships prepared to bomb, Air Marshal John McNeele received a phone call from the Minister of War himself.

"Hello, sir, yes, really, okay, I will tell them now.", the Air Marshal replied.

McNeele contacted the head ensign of each airship, he had already ordered his massive flagship (shaped like a spaceship, but an airship), and told them to stay on the front lines, and just be a barrier until further orders.

Emperor Edward Jacob VI was quite nervous, because although he was skilled in warfare, this was the only war he has fought during his life.

"Your Holy Highness, the Space Plane is ready for transport sir. It will carry you to the Outpost to review all troops, both home and allied," an adviser had said.

"Tell the pilot I will be there within a minute," he had replied.

Now, staring out to Hokkaido, he realized that much of his worries were unfounded; they have very strong allies, a very strong and technologically-advanced army, and many souls offering their intellectual help.Not everyday does the Emperor face a crisis like this, and his advisers have ultimately offered themselves up for the glory of the Empire.

"Sir, we have prepared your room aboard W.S.S. Chronoa, and your troops are ready for a little pep talk," the advisor said and smiled.

Edward returned the smile and went to the troops waiting at the Outpost. Of course, maybe a pep talk will be effective for all troops; it does work for him. As he face the Puritanian Imperial Troops, Your People United Forces, Martilian Troops, and Thorician Armed Forces, he quickly thought of something to say to bolster their spirits, and make them ardent supporters of the Holy Empire.

Speech of the Holy Emperor, 0800 hrs.

"Greetings, our allies, our soldiers, and all those who support the Empire! We are immensely grateful to those who heeded our call to help out a peaceful country at a time of crisis. As you may know, we, the Far-Reaching Holy Empire of Windica, has been provoked by an attack on one of our provinces. This attack by the Federation, which usually takes over other governments by espionage and infiltration, just shows that they are desperate for our lands, and not getting it due to our strong government, has resorted to force. Their forces are now increasing due to the support of the Osleans and the Domains of Emperor Pudu. Although technologically advanced, our army is unable to fight these threats off all alone.

"My friends, we have convened here to retake our lands from the Federalists and to restore peace to our Karrift citizens, who at the moment are being enslaved by the Feds. We request only that during the battles, spare the citizens and kill only the enemy. Our citizens have endured much hardships under the Federalists and they look forward to liberation."
