The Chinese have had enough with the Americans and want their money back, all thirty-two trillion dollars worth of it. However, Centrist-Extremist rebels have overthrown the United States's government and refuse to repay a debt that they did not create. Irritated to the boiling point, the People's Republic of China has officially declared a State of War against the fledgling Union of American Provinces. They have sent a massive portion of their military to the California coast. For the first time in centuries, the American mainland is being invaded by a foreign land.

The UAP, having just barely won the war against the old tyrannical USA, has asked any nation willing to help to send military and/or diplomatic aide.

And so our story begins…

The Brotherhood, a Fascist group among few remaining Helduran people have managed to dispatch a number of Pathfinders to The UAP to assist them as a show of good faith, barely number a full hundred, these soldiers make up for their lack of numbers by being more than adept at surviving in harsh terrain and are experts at small scale, covert operations.

Emperor Maximus could remember back when America was still a full country, back when it was in it's glory. He could remember when they were a superpower, and everyone wanted to be their ally. He also remembered back when America had such a large debt, unlike DEN did. It was back in those days that DEN had a huge diplomatic tie with America, and everything they did, they talked about. If it was a declaration of war, Max would support it. If it was economic problems, DEN supported them.

But now, Maximus sighed. It had been maybe a year since America was dismantled, and split up into a new country. In a way, the USA had filed a bankruptcy, and effectively went around that debt. Running his hand across his forehead, the Emperor sighed, trying to think about this. He tried his best to recall anything he could about the situation, and even had a report of the current one.

The UAP, just about a year ago, was made from the ashes of a civil war and dissent, changing how the world looked at the USA. They circumvented the nearly 32 trillion dollars of debt, and were going fine. Then, a month ago, diplomacy issues broke out. China was angry at the UAP because they ordered the payment of that debt, and the UAP said no. Eventually, China declared war. So now there they were, just thinking about it.

Emperor Maximus had called Vladimir, his most trusted assistant, to talk with him about the situation. Vladimir had told him, though, that he had some definite ideas on how to go about this. Maximus, of course, didn't really want to get involved in a war, but they would send troops if they needed. Soon, Vladimir had appeared at the door, standing in the corner.

"Hello, Emperor." Vladimir said, and puffed a smoke ring out of his cigar, unbuttoning his trench coat and taking off his cap. The trench coat was jet black, and on the right of his coat was the DEN armband, the colors blaring. On his right chest was his rank and specialization: Officer.

"Vladimir, glad you could make it. How was the car ride?" Maximus asked, a smile appearing on his face slightly. Vladimir wasn't only his trusted advisor, he was his best friend and the only man he really, truly trusted. He was Max's second in command, and anything Max did, he asked Vladimir about.

"Boring as hell. The traffic was ugly, and everyone was hyped up about how we'll be destroyed by our own soldiers. God, I wish I could send my soldiers after them, to teach them a lesson. But then, they' done true. To a point." Vladimir chuckled, and sighed. "What did you need me for, sir?"

"You heard the situation about the UAP and China, right?" Maximus asked.

"Of course, sir. Is that why you wanted me to talk? You wanted to discuss the war, or possibly the bringing of us into the war?"

"Tell me honestly, what do you think. Should we get involved?"

"The Americas were a source of great economic power. They held recourses. If we helped them, then undoubtedly we will get some of that, and power." Vladimir said, and sat down in the chair as Maximus did.

"So what do you think?"

"Let's send China a letter to cease and desist. Tell them we will get involved if they don't. Also send a letter to UAP telling them our border are open. Also, let's get our men ready, shall we?"

Dear Government of China,
The Empire of DEN has taken great care in watching what has been happening. We know that you are owed over 30 trillion dollars in payments, and we know you have been angry because of it. But war is not the way. Cease and desist your war like ways, or we shall be forced to get involved.

Chak looked nervously out the window at the approaching coast of California, with its glittering lights. He remembered his orders: To destroy as little property as possible, since they just needed 30 trillion in money back. That could easily be taken by looting. Reluctantly, Chak ordered his fleet to stop despite his anticipation of a confrontation. He ordered 115 Tomahawk missiles fired at the weak military defenses on the coast. Chak actually hated war, a dark secret of his. He detested sending men to their deaths, and he continued to live in guilt for attacks that resulted in deaths, the rioting in Tibet, Xinjiang, skirmishes with India, even fighting against the Taliban on the Afghan border. He felt guilty for every death, even that of his enemy, and, as he heard the missiles take off, he prayed that this war, not yet begun, would end.

Minister Martina Novotná's Office 1800 hours Wednesday afternoon...

Karel Malý sat in the Ministry of the Allied Government Offices in the Capital City of the A.S.R.G.; Domácí. One of the larges and most powerful nations has fallen, The United States of America was destroyed from the inside by Centrist-Extremists. Luckily Rodstov and Grenoda didn't have this problem. We had Insurgents and we had a war to unite us but it wasn't as bad. Then again we only have a nation that covers 270km2 we didn't have it to that large of a scale.

Karel rubbed the distraction from my mind. He was waiting for the Minister to return. Jana had stepped in and given me a cup of coffee; black two sugars. He had a feeling that I had a clear idea why he was called in. Martina wanted his opinion of the situation. He had called their countries reservists to "Stand to" and begin training with in 48 hours. The Elite Divize Česká Původ Pušky (Czech Origin Rifles Division) Was already ready to help the Americans. It was the least they could do give the circumstances. If times were different they would have come to our aid if we asked for it... or at lease he hoped they would.

Martina entered and Lt. Col. Karel Malý stood to greet her. Martina looked over Karel. Today unlike any other day Karel stood in his fatigues instead of his standard black dress uniform. Pulled over it he had his standard plate carrier with one pocket that used to hold a radio. Martina smiled "Did I catch you at a bad time Colonel?" It clearly looked like he was just at the training grounds in Vytrvalost.

"No ma'am." Karel quick responded. "Just keeping myself busy, I was reviewing the troops..." Martina raised a hand as put he cup she was holding at her desk and put her files that she was holding in the other had into a file on her desk. She remained standing as she did this quietly then she looked up and smiled.

"How are they?" She asked after a minute of silence.

"Ready ma'am."

"Get them going then"

"Yes ma'am"

Karel turned to leave the room but Martina walked around her desk to him. she took the cup from him and placed it on the small table next to where he was sitting. Then picked up the old Czech officers cap that was next to it. She gentle placed it on his head and pulled down tight on the tip of the cap purposely. The caps are meant for show not for looks its annoying to wear them because of this exact reason. "Be Careful."

The Allied States of Rodstov and Grenoda are in full support of any of you actions against China we want to send the full support of our regular army to assist you in this troubled time. We have only ask your permission to prepare and cross the border into your Nationality. We have already sent word to our units to start there preparations and already acquired the permissions for them to move to your border via wheeled transport.

We also are getting our Air Assets activated including out 3rd Logistics Squadron to assist in the effort in fortifying your holdings in California. This unit can arrive with in a day however the ground forces it will take the better part of the evening and tomorrow morning to reach you.

If you want our help we need the answer post haste.

The room was quiet most of the day, save the coffee machine going off when it finished making a pot. Everyone would go up and get the pot, and someone would be pissed because they wouldn't get their coffee. It was fine, though. Everyone knew that eventually, they'd get out of this hell hole, and back to the DEN mainland. But tonight, it was different. They had maneuvered a satellite over the UAP, and were now monitoring it, when the alarms blared.

Everyone who was asleep immediately jumped to attention and ran out of their dorms, uniforms on. They could tell this was a missile warning alarm, but they didn't know it was from the satellites. Finally, the Lieutenant in charge of the computer and alarm systems got to his post, and sat down, shutting off the sound.

"Sir, the sat. picked up missiles off of the coast of California! Large thermal reading, sir. Numbering over 100 missiles. Tracking them!" The Lieutenant shouted, and the Captain got to his position, putting his cigarette away and spinning around in his chair so he could see the main screen. The Lieutenant put the satellite image up on the main screen so the Captain could see it. "Missiles heading for UAP mainland, sir!"

"Scramble the jets! I want ten SASF-2s in the air now! Arm them to the teeth and send them to check out the enemy fleet!" The Captain shouted, and got out of his chair. He could see the missile cloud, now. And it would hit the UAP mainland very, very soon. They couldn't take them out. "Notify the UAP and the DEN!"

After he gave the order, the pilots scrambled out to their posts, getting their helmets and suits on. Ten of them ran to their SASF-2s, and waited until they were cleared to go. After checking the area, the Captain gave them the green. The ten took off from their positions, flying off the runway at the end of the mountain. Very soon, they'd get to 60,000 feet, and that's where they operated. Then they went supersonic, and accelerated to Mach 3.5.

Emperor-elect Joseph Smith read the translated letter thrice, ensuring that he did not miss a single detail.

"Kommander Ullrich!" he cried.

On the bright side, the coastal defenses around LA would've been fully obliterated, assuring a quick and easy landing on the coast for a quick capture of California's most important city.

Lt. Colonel Karel Malý sat at his laptop as the Hunter bounce across the ashphalt road and onto the dirt path over to the forward deployment area that the CORD had set up a head of time before the rest of the troops could be rallied. All units had been called to stand to at this base it sat on the border of Mexico. The Mexican government had cleared the road for them to use to get to the UAP as fast as possible. CORD "A" Battalion was already ready for inspection to advance through Mexican territory and on to the UAP. The hunter rolled to a halt and Karel stepped out leaving his laptop in the MRAP. He walked up to the Commander that was waiting for him.

"Lets get this underway quickly gentlemen" he said to Brigádní generál František Šenkýř, The commander of the Czech Origin Rifles Division that was going directly to California to stop the landings that may take place there.
