Ammunition: the 7.62 seems extreme for all assault rifles, especially in CQB. Needless to say, the 5.56 is useless in all situations bar the latter. How about a compromise? The 6.8 Remington seems about the best choice (Solyhniya uses the 6.78x46 which is longer, slightly thinner, but still uses the concept of an intermediate assault rifle round).
Regiments: as of recently, Solyhniya's ERF personnel are no longer drawn from the mainstream Solyhniyan army. Instead, they are troops dedicated primarily to the ERF who are trained in the KRS.

The UAWC has experience with all 7.62x39 cartridge types, but we think it's the best option. How is 7.62x39mmC extreme?

It's heavy, inaccurate and largely unnecessary at close ranges due to the recoil it usually produces (countered by the balanced gas system used in Solyhniya's Vlasjuk series). The 6.8 seems to solve most of these problems fairly flawlessly.

UAWC wrote:The UAWC has a new mech!
Its old mech, the 2012, has done wonders for our military. However, it presented a very large target and had balance issues due to its way-too-long barrel. In light of this, the Union introduces its new mech, the 2013 Battlemech!
Image shown is entirely 2D, so the other leg is not visible.
The 2013 Battlemech features, like its predecessor, a semi-automatic revolver cannon which allows the pilot to fire up to 6 massive 130mm rounds in quick succession before reloading. However, obviously caution should be taken as the recoil from doing so can in some situations compromise the 2013's balance. The 2013 also features two short arms, each equipped with 30mm AL-100 miniguns as well as HSML (Heat-Seaking Missile Launcher) weapon systems. The 2013 is also a hybrid.

Wow, take it easy. The funny thing is before the coup, I was the ERF Commander and you got bent out of shape because BP put me in without an election but now you are saying that other countries dont have any say in what there forces wear or use?? :eyebrow: and Alliance Uniforms would be a good idea so there isn't any blue on blue on the battlefield.

After that, and with my support that it is achievable (standard weapons for example is unpracticle and EXTREMELY expensive yet standard uniforms is achievable) we can vote with the members.

Standard uniforms however would be easier and a simple symbol painted on the side of a Tank/APC/Plane etc. would also make it easier to identify friend from foe, rather than spending a ****ton of money buying new ships to replace perfectly good ones.

We could try helmets with built-in-strobes to identify freindlies, give the ERF lots of tech so we can have a technological edge for the most part

The problem with Technology is that it can break or be hacked etc.
We need something like clothes with a not-so-many used color, as that won't break.
