200million ground troops make up the Ranorian Army branch. They wield AK74M rifles (most of them-10 million wield M16 rifles modified for .50 caliber ammo, 10,000 have RPG7Ms, and 10,000 with .50 caliber Barrets)(brass ammo), khukri knives, tomohawks, frags, flashes or smokes, and .38 caliber pistlols) (All units have Liquid Armor though elite infantry( 60 million more) have full-body Kevlar and are better trained.
Elite platoons-
Special Platoon Recons-some of the most heavily trained units in the Ranorian Army, they use AN94 rifles with brass ammo and otherwise have the same load out as elites. They are trained in combat against felons. We have had 931 training casualties of the 24 million currently in service.
Elite Special Platoon Recons-The most deadly soldiers to be trained in Ranoria. Taken at birth under any of the following conditions 20 thousand of them currently. Armed equally with SPRs.
1-Mother and Father give child at birth (If Father does not arrive or notify military within 5 hours of birth and mother has accepted terms, child will be taken)
2-Mother has been proven in court to be an inadequate parent, and has another child, child is taken and reproductive organs are disabled.
3-Child abandoned at birth
4-Abortion attempted, in which mother is killed if proven guilty and child is taken.
They are trained from birth, bathed in wine, etc, in a very Spartan fashion. Martial Arts (Jui Jitsu emphathized) are an instinct, they can wield weaponry of various types, and, the hardest, are nearly immune to physical pain due to repeated, tuned down torture scenarios. They are also trained to be calm in virtually any situation. The majority of them, as their only required reading is on Sparta as that is how they are raised, worship Ares, the mythological god of war.
Armored Division-Consists of approximately 50 ATTILA tanks and 15 KHAN tanks along with a few command HUM-Vs.
Air Force- Low priority, 12 F-15 fighters, 8 F-18 fighters, 3 B-2 spirit bombers, 10 Apache gunships (50 mm cannons) and 28 biplanes armed with CETME Ameli MSG ( 1 front one rear)
Biplanes are used as cheap anti infantry vehicles.
Navy
7 Destroyers, 3 rail guns apiece (1 front, 1 left, 1 right), each us armed with Patriot missiles. 1 submarine designed golf carrying and launching WMDs, another for anti-ship warfare. 20 PT boats, armed with 1 STRELA missile launcher, 3 CETME Ameli Mgs, (1 rear, 1 on each side) a mountable GP25 grenade launcher, and 3 smart bombs, rotor propelled, that are dropped off side and into a carrier. The ships are lightly armored for speed as they are mainly used for carrier destruction.
The Ranorian Carrier, dubbed the Hornet's Nest, carries various light fighters (12 F18s and 8 F15s) and has 8 rail guns, 4 on each side, and various heavy MGs and Howitzer artillery guns. Also have 2 Osprey class minesweepers.

FLASH: Devastation in Midmer!

It turns out that the warlord, who we know is referred to as 'Khan the Red', was not a small-time terrorist as originally believed. Recently uncovered information leads us to believe that he has with him remnants of the Cavardian Royal Legion, the most feared fighting force on Earth even to this day, and one of only two remaining divisions of the Cavardian Armed Forces. As well, it seems that he's united all of the formerly warring factions of Midmer in an insane, but possible and even probable to succeed attempt at taking back all of uncontrolled Midmer territory and form a new sovereignty. This is truly terrifying news. If allowed to happen, it could spell doom for anyone nearby. Currently, we believe he is located in the former Great Plains area, along with over 90% of all independent, rouge, merc, and martial factions in Midmer. Currently, it is believed that only Imperial tactics, Memorian raiding, or a large Commandian army could go head to head with them on the ground. We also wish to report that they appear to have few aerial capabilities and no naval ones, though their ability to defend against either is unknown.

This just in!!! The Ranorians appear to have caused some form of disruption at Emperor Telgara's international party being hosted on his private cruiser. Word has it that whatever occured was so severe that the Emperor ordered the mobilization of three fleets! I sure would hate to be a Ranorian right now. The last time the Emperor was this angry, half of Europe burned to the ground in his wake.
