The Minister of Defence, Marshal Raoul Boniface, stood up and walked slowly towards the podium, in a strong, regal fashion. It seemed as if he looked the most comfortable in a military officer's uniform. He moved his strong, muscled frame towards the microphone, sternly and directly staring down the crowd of reporters.

"After deliberations in the Royal Council, the Ministry of Defence and the government of the Kingdom of Nouvelle Rhodes have come to a decision regarding the Aglrinian-Estovakian tension. As an ally with Aglrinia, the Kingdom of Nouvelle Rhodes offers the Aglrinian government four infantry brigades from our 27th Sheffield division, which would total to a force of about 20 000 men. We offer these troops to assist in guarding the Aglrinian capital city, and if a full-scale international war is seen as becoming an inevitability, the Ministry of Defence and the Royal Council would meet to discuss any further action. The Maharaj asks all nations in this conflcit to stand down.

However as a precaution the Maharaj has ordered an immediate mobilisation of 10 Divisions of the Royal Maharaj's Guard. These are the 1st, 3rd, 7th, 16th, 17th, 29th, 60th, 76th, 101st and the 102nd. This Corps named the 1st, will be sent division by division to Aglrinia once permission is given by the Aglrinian Government. Each division will take about 8 days to arrive in Aglrinia.

The Commanding General is Juboraj (Crown Prince) Nabil himself.

Skira was found before by the Estovakian and yes its near our waters but its out side of our borders, with the new high tech on finding oil by a civilian ship Estovakia finally has a military presence, a large one 3 divisions making it 300,000 military personal, the Island has 50,000 in a civilian work force and natives.

ooc: if it is an island why can't we float our boats around it? Not to mention with modern military technology, your military as well as civilian personnel are trapped and thus would make the island an easy target. It would fall rather quickly.

Anchor: Tonight! No word from Tobur Palace or from the prime minister at Billings Hall on the escalating tensions between Aglrinia and Estovakia and the ultimatum given to Estovakia from parliament yesterday. War games are currently going on in conjunction with Aglrinian troops and navy and more troops and the navy's 2nd and 3rd fleet are departing for Aglrinia today. The navy has declined to comment on whether they are there in official capacity or they are joining in the war games. Skeptics in parliament say the size and number of ships in addition to troops being deployed to that area is overkill for war games.

Prime Minister Langley issued the ultimatum to Estovakia last night and did not lay out a clear timeline as to when he would like to see Estovakia remove it's troops from Aglrinia's borders. Contacts at parliament say that is usual and customary in the first stage of negotiations but also hinted that this process is what leads to a formal declaration of war.

People on the streets of Ostol are concerned tonight but are confident that theri government and king will make the correct decisions on the matter. In a poll released today it shows 60% of adults polled are in favor of using force if Estovakia does not withdraw from Aglrinia. The number rises to 72% if the King himself endorses the use of force. just 25% are absolutely against any use of force under any circumstances.

The phone was ringing. A day and a half after everything in the country was sound and taken care of, the phone was ringing once again. Will I never have a moment's rest? Jac thought to himself. He sat up and looked at the form in the covers next to him, the covers slowly going up and down as she breathed. Best not to wake her. I'm sure it's nothing. He picked up the phone as he thought this, and whispered harshly, yet quietly, into the mouthpiece. "What is it, Martin?"

"Sir, word from the Algrinians is that the Stovies aren't backing down. Sattelite images show an Estovakian naval force just off their main staging point, Skira Island."

"What do you suggest, Martin?"

"We should mobilize the expeditionary fleet, and in the meantime, a few Seahags should suffice to stun them."

"Seahags, Martin? How many stations do we have ready to fire?"

"Three stations and eighteen missles total, sir. Also, they seem to have declared war on us, Jac."

Jac smiled. "See that their new island makes aquaintence with our Seahags."

He heard Martin chuckle through the phone. "Consider it done. Sleep well, sir."

"Thanks, Martin." With that, Jac hung up and laid back down. He put an arm around his wife, hugging her to him. She stirred, suddenly. "What's wrong, Jac?" She was still tired, she couldn't have heard the conversation. "Nothing, my love. Go back to sleep."

Nothing you need to worry about, Shira. By the time you hear of this, it will be over... With those thoughts going through his head, the Teccorri Chancellor drifted back into a deep slumber.

Tactical Missle Sites, Western Teccor

"We have clearance from the MinDef!" The controller yelled through the bunker. "Ready the missles!"

The men scrambled into position, and turned their keys in unison once they were all in place. Eighteen Fe-66 Seahag Stealth Cruise Missiles rocketed out of their housings and sped towards Skira island, travelling mere meters above sea level, totally under radar range. Two were targeting the fleet, and the rest, the island itself.

I pity whoever Jac fired these monters at, A controller thought as he watched the missile orient itself and speed away.
