- First Lieutenant Jack "Jolly" Rogers, Squad Leader. The younger squad leader had always been known as no-nonsense and by the book. His squad would call him a lovable hard-ass. He's the kind of man who will sit down with you and have a drink for the night and then the next morning PT your hangover away while he calls you every name in the book. The man was meant to be a Ranger even as he signed up for the Army at 18, right out of school. A close call on an operation in a small country gave him a direct commission to 1st LT and a command of a small squad of his own. His nickname and callsign comes not only from his last name, but also as a constant spite of his hard demeanor and personality.

- Ensign Jung "Ninja" Park, Scout/Recon. The quiet, small man of Korean descent acts as the squad's recon and scouting specialist. The only time any other Ranger sees the Ninja smile is when he pops a target's head off. When someone paired Park to Rogers' squad, they made a match that only Heaven should make. Park's natural ability to follow orders perfectly and without complain makes him a great addition to the squad. Well, that and his skill at long-distance warfare, which is the main reason he was pulled from the Army's ranks to be a sniper. His callsign is in reference to his position in the squad and at his Asian descent. He was not so happy to be called Ninja the first time, at which he promptly punched the man out for his racism.

- Ensign Harry "Tarzan" Wilde, Heavy Weapons. Wilde makes up for Park's silence with his own obnoxious attitude. His mouth is as loud as his weapons. After being pulled from the Navy's ranks for his affinity to boarding party weapons, we was immediately attached to a Ranger squad. And, much to Rogers' annoyance, the man was attached to his squad. Despite his name, callsign, and personality as a happy-go-lucky prick, his skill with a machine gun or rocket launcher is par to none in the squad.

- Second Lieutenant Nikolai "Koopa" Kovanovich, Rifleman. A man of East European descent, Koopa's callsign came directly from Wilde's inability to pronounce his last name. Nikolai's the stereotypical Negative Nancy of the group, always quick with a sarcastic response or dark joke to help sully the mood. Despite his storm cloud personality, on more than one occasion, he and Wilde have sat down at a bar together to get hammered. His ability to think on his toes and adapt to incoming situations left his as the squad's rifleman and wildcard. If thing's go his way, in the next two to three years, he'll be leading his own squad.

Biography on Warfighter: The Rangers are the elite of the Remnant Military. The Rangers get pulled from every other branch of military for either exceptional combat capabilities or leadership skills. The process is completely optional, but few ever decline the offer to become the URA's tier-one warfighting organization. The Rangers have been divided into eight Battalions, with the 1st generally thought to be the elite among the elites.

The Rangers were originally created exactly 3 years after the URA became established. The idea was to take the USA's J-SOC idea and further refine it into a single organization. Now, every elite warfighter would join the same organization, essentially being removed and transferred from their original branch of military to the Rangers. Rangers are given every piece of equipment needed and are only used in situations where extreme precision, speed, and effectiveness is necessary. After showing considerable prowess, Pittison was promoted to Corporal and sent to become an Unexploded Ordnance Disposal expert for the 1st Marine Legion, where he graduated top of the course. With further training, Pittison became a member of the Special Operations Legion EOD team and was one of only a few soldiers from that unit to be directly recruited to the BASTION unit. With a number of years experience in the unit, Pittison is a highly-knowledgable member of his squad.

The unit is named for the Battle of Hollow Bastion, one of the most chaotic and violent in history and a major reason for the formation of the Hayesalian Union and therefore New Hayesalia. In a military of millions of men and women, these few soldiers are the New Hayesalian Governments high-risk, high-danger mission experts with an unrivaled capacity for warfighting.

In the Missourian Rebels War, the SN were credited with a higher unit effectiveness ratio than any other- neutralizing over a battalion of rebel soldiers with zero casualties. They also conducted numerous sabotage operations, and gave way to a landslide New Hayesalian coalition victory. The BASTION lifestyle is one of curiosity. Given free reign to do basically whatever they wish and given whatever they need, the BASTION are a highly private force. There is no real way to identify a BASTION soldier, but BASTION soldiers recognise each other easily. They train under their rank and an assumed name, and their identities are not often revealed. With the highest fitness and educational requirements in the NHM, and the ability to be deployed anywhere on any mission at anytime, the standard of training is as high as can be. When not serving overseas, the BASTION train as the OPFOR, fighting regular NH forces in wargames. To join the BASTION, a candidate must be recommended by a board of officers from the unit and successfully pass initial training of two months long, and train further on probation for three years. BIOGRAPHY: A graduate of New Hayesalia's Military Academy and a veteran of conflicts in Zellatia and Missouri, Lieutenant Rothgow served as a Lieutenant and Captain in the 3rd Legion's infantry and airborne task forces and as a Captain in the 1st Commando Division and Special Reconnaissance Service. With an excellent example of service and ability, Rothgow successfully applied for and passed BASTION training and became a part of 3 BASTION at the rank of Second Lieutenant. Showing excellence, Rothgow received his re-promotion and was accepted to the 14th Division of BASTION- the most combat capable unit in the New Hayesalian Army.

BIOGRAPHY: Originally a logistics clerk in the Ammunition and Ordnance section, Pittison transferred into the 1st Marine Legion as an infantry soldier three years after joining the Army. After showing considerable prowess, Pittison was promoted to Corporal and sent to become an Unexploded Ordnance Disposal expert for the 1st Marine Legion, where he graduated top of the course. With further training, Pittison became a member of the Special Operations Legion EOD team and was one of only a few soldiers from that unit to be directly recruited to the BASTION unit. With a number of years experience in the unit, Pittison is a highly-knowledgable member of his squad.

He has also represented New Hayesalia in international debating competitions.

Biography on Warfighter:
n amalgamation of the Special Forces of the Hayesalian Union, Amalgamation saw the formation of the 4,000 strong- now 10,000- Battlefield Assault, Strategic, Tactical & Innovative Operations Node or more commonly, BASTION. The unit is named for the Battle of Hollow Bastion, one of the most chaotic and violent in history and a major reason for the formation of the Hayesalian Union and therefore New Hayesalia. In a military of millions of men and women, these few soldiers are the New Hayesalian Governments high-risk, high-danger mission experts with an unrivaled capacity for warfighting.

In the Missourian Rebels War, the SN were credited with a higher unit effectiveness ratio than any other- neutralizing over a battalion of rebel soldiers with zero casualties. They also conducted numerous sabotage operations, and gave way to a landslide New Hayesalian coalition victory. The BASTION lifestyle is one of curiosity. Given free reign to do basically whatever they wish and given whatever they need, the BASTION are a highly private force. There is no real way to identify a BASTION soldier, but BASTION soldiers recognise each other easily. They train under their rank and an assumed name, and their identities are not often revealed. With the highest fitness and educational requirements in the NHM, and the ability to be deployed anywhere on any mission at anytime, the standard of training is as high as can be. When not serving overseas, the BASTION train as the OPFOR, fighting regular NH forces in wargames. To join the BASTION, a candidate must be recommended by a board of officers from the unit and successfully pass initial training of two months long, and train further on probation for three years. Minimum requirements include a length of previous service of over five years, high levels of fitness and intelligence, and an obvious capacity to join the unit. Details are never fully published as to what training involves: this surprise means candidates must be prepared for anything.

BASTION is made up of the top 0.01% of the New Hayesalian Military. While some nations recruit to the top 1%, the New Hayesalian Military was unsatisfied with this and pushed the limits even further. In 2010, BASTION was formed. Made up of approximately 5,000 soldiers, the unit has it's numbers pulled from the instructors and highly performing members of other special units, such as the Army Pararescue, Combat Intelligence Gathering Unit, Marine and Airborne Legions, the SRS, et cetera.

Training is an eight-week course, where mind and body are tested to absolute limits. Candidates are expected to be able to learn anything and remember it well, as well as be able to apply it. In training, textbooks on subjects ranging from nuclear weapons to foreign small arms are issued and must be read and the knowledge practically applied in training sometimes one day later. This is in addition to other training, where food and sleep is little and far between, and candidates have no expectations of what will come next. Training is entirely practical in nature: candidates are expected to be fit enough to perform the training with no PT. Training takes place in locations all around New Hayesalia and Paddy O Fernature, from the alpine mountains of Piltomana to the deserts of Quepasa. OPFOR, usually made up of current BASTION and STU soldiers, is often present.

Members of BASTION hold a high number of mandatory qualifications. While members of 1 through 9 BASTION have slight differences as to which qualfications are and are not required, members of 14 BASTION are required to maintain most qualifications to a high-level instructor rating at all times in the unit. Having fought in nearly a dozen different warzones during his Military career Klaus has been hardened by years of warfare. He shows very little outward emotion and is entirely dedicated to the mission what ever it may be. Of the notable actions Klaus fought in the Siege of Gibber ( Gibberan Civil War ) And the Siege of Rokosan (Karteni - Imperial conflict ). These are often agreed upon as the two of the harshest battles the ICSAF have ever found themselves in. He is proficient at Close Quarters Combat and Demolitions.

SSG Erik Leichnstein :
Originally part of the 82nd Valkyrie Rangers he was transferred to the 173rd after his unit was annihilated during the Siege of Gibber. Nearly silent in everything he does his personal skill is honed toward infiltration and marksmanship. During Operation "Mocking Jay " when Imperial armed forces were raiding the compound of a Karteni General SSG Lechnstein saved several wounded comrades while still completing the assassination mission. It was discovered later that he had been wounded several times during the operation. His ABR-35 forgoes it's standard 40mm grenade launcher for a muzzle brake , bipod and x41 zoom scope.

SSG Johaan Steiner :
Not much is known about Steiner's previous service. It is only know that he was attached to the 173rd shortly before the Seige of Rokosan. While nothing can be said for his personality aside that it is practically non-existent he is very proficient at Field craft as well as non-conventional warfare. On a weapons level he is highly proficient with a blade and often forgoes a suppressed handgun for his combat knife.

Biography on Warfighter:

The Valkyrie Rangers were created after the Nuclear purge at the hands of Vakair during the Unification Wars. At the time the Provience of Valkyar was renown for it's elite specialist infantry that excelled at every role they were tasked with. During the Battle of Trinity Heights Valkyar troops were outnumbered 6:1 and not only held their ground but repelled the enemy Assault. The Modern Valkyrie Rangers are made from hundreds of years of warrior tradition placed into a brutal eight months of training. The Valkyrie Rangers are used for many purposes from Shock Troops to Airborne Commando's to Counter Insurgency specialist . All other information is still under OPSEC

In response to the Power Armour thing, I have been using the Chameleon kit in RPs for over a year now and I've never used it for wank-related purposes. It is a standard kit issued to front-line soldiers in the NHM. Here is the write up from nhmilitary:

New Hayesalian "Chameleon" Armour is a distinctive system of plating which is designed to give a very high percentage of bodily cover in armour. A groin and buttocks plate are also included, as well as the M1A4 Enhanced Combat Helmet from TNRDI. The M1A4 offers the following qualities:

* Made from advanced Plastics
* Lightweight compared to similar Kevlar products
* Offers true ballistic protection up to 7.62mm at medium to long range
* Integrated ballistic eye protection from Nomad

The Chameleon can be worn with the Warrior Web. The Chameleon is also produced with covering cloths in camouflage schemes as necessary. The Chameleon is figure-hugging and MOLLE compatible, which allows for ease of movement and modularity. The Chameleon is usually worn with the Warrior Web system to reduce individual fatigue to the user. The Chameleon offers protection to most of the body, including the outer legs and joints, the outer thigh, the groin and buttocks, the pelvis, the torso and obliques, the upper and lower forearms, the wrist, the shoulders, and the collarbones. The M4A1 helmet, seen below, offers protection to the skull above the upper neck, the ears, and the forehead as well as protecting from burns and CRBN attacks with the M4A1 Gasmask also seen below.

  This man was the first to join, and was part of the Original RTSDS Team.
  After his birth, Roski set out to colonize The Alliance of Georgia, with native tribes proving to be quite a match.
  At age 13, he made it his life's goal to join the Roskian Military. He showed a good military mind, and an undying love for his country.
  At 14, both of his parents were killed in a car accident, and he was taken to a military school, by his choice. The military taught him very well, both in core education areas, (Russian, English, Math, Science, and Social Studies), but also in discipline.
  At 16, he moved to Russo, where he continued his military education.
  At 17, the military education programme ended, and he moved to New Russo to learn the states of the colonies.
  At 19, he moved back into Roski, where he joined the Naval Command Task Group.
  At 20, there was a major attack on a naval out-post, where he basically hid until the Roskian Army arrived to liberate the centre. He then joined the RTSDS, as the first team, and the squad liberated Russo when it was attacked by terrorists.
  At 24, RTSDS-1 was wiped out, with only two survivors. The two survivors now head RTSDS-14

  Born into poverty, he joined the Military Academy at 5, simply because his parents couldn't afford the schools. At 9, he was top of his class, and remained so until he graduated at age 18. Another member of RTSDS-1, he now leads the RTSDS-14 with Johnson.

  This is the only Russian member still standing in the entire RTSDS group.

Biography on Warfighter:
RTSDS is formed as the spec ops units for Home Defence. Though primarily for the Defence of Roski and its 4 colonies, it can be used to defend all of the Alliance of Georgia. With 16 of these groups in the history of the programme, only 7 still stand.
RTSDS-14 is one of these with 3 members in the group, two part of the original team. These ops are the elite, with 14 the second most tried in all of the Empire. These ops specialize in tactical warfare, and are known for lightning fast strikes. Don't let "Defence" fool you. These men are behind enemy lines, playing aggressively and offensively. When the military can't handle it, RTSDS comes in for lighting fast mayhem, made to order.
