Western confederacy proposed
Midgar,46566- The Grand Duchy of 46566 has sent the following countries a treaty to join a trade union. The nations are Onza,Republic of new santiago and Maledictoria. The purpose of the trade union is to help bring the western countries closer together. Also with the invite is a first draft of the treaty that is proposed.

Midgar,46566-The Grand Duchy foreign minster Elizabeth Stuart has sent the embassy request to the grand Duke who has signed the bill. This will mark the second embassy within the country.The other embassy is Onza embassy. There are rumors in the foreign ministry about a potential request of a military alliance being offered by the Grand Duchy to the Grand Dominion.

MARIA — The Council of State, the top foreign policy decision making council of the United Realms federal government has unanimously agreed to a proposal by the Government of the United Emirates of Onza to establish formal diplomatic and trade relations with the UTR.

The Council of State also voted in favor of adopting the Onzan proposal as a model for establishing initial relations with other NationStates upon Enkon, declaring in a written statement announcing the vote, "The Onzan proposal is a perfect model for initial relations between the UTR and other NationStates. The UTR shall adopt this model and make similar proposals to all the active civilizations."

Citing a "need to promote economic welfare in the region," High Sultan Sheikh Abu Ali II has sent a foreign envoy to the nation of 46566 in an effort to improve relations with the super-nation that recently established a free trade/recognition of territory agreement with Onza. In addition to this announcement, the Grand Clerical Order approved of Maledictoria's membership in the proposed "Western Confederacy," - an international body which promotes economic growth. The Order noted that while the admission of the United Democratic Emirates as a member was "unwelcome," they expressed interest in moving forward regardless of diplomatic turmoil.

"It is unfortunate that the Emirates have, indeed, survived the difficult period of initial civilization, but for the time being, they are not on His Highness's agenda," noted official spokesman for the Grand Clerical Order, Zaahir El-Hashem.

In Khorramabad, military troops have begun an exercise where they test out combat readiness through a variety of different scenarios. Officials have remained quiet on the purpose of these previously unheard-of exercises, but many theories have been proposed. Among the armies deployed in the training drill are the Bask of Sobek (al-Jaysh I, Isis), and the Thorax of Khemet (al-Jaysh I, Horus).

Foreign policy analysts have also noted that the United Technocratic Realms - a supposedly powerful, mysteriously-technological people in the far East - approved of a recent trade agreement that established diplomatic relations with Onza, though the existence of this nation has been disputed.

"We have no reason to believe that there is another civilization out there that is any more advanced than we are," reassured El-Hashem on His Highness's behalf one week ago.

Proponents, however, noted that there originally was not believed to be a civilization farther west of the local desert, but after merchants returned from the Grand Duchy speaking of marvelous architecture and incredibly-large cities, this was debunked.

It is expected that our great leaders will lead our nation down a path that continues to build diplomatic relations with peoples all over the world, however.

Valencia del Sol, Mare Solis, Enkon - In an effort to reduce tensions between the Most Serene Republic & the Grand Dominion of Earth Empire, the Solisian government is to dispatch Raymond Abano, the newly appointed ambassador to the United Federation of Ajerrin. Abano was born in Esperanza and studied international relations in college. He served as a foreign service officer for many years to numerous nations. He recently retired from foreign affairs, but was asked to return to it in order to reduce the dispute between the Most Serene Republic & the Grand Dominion.

The Grand Dominion’s Foreign Ministry has sent Ale Ricade, newly appointed ambassador to the Federation of Ajerrin, to the Ajerrin capital of New Hope to peacefully end the debate on the island land claim once and for all. Many inside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs believe that relations may improve very well with Mare Solis for reasons they have not yet stated.

Finalizing the Embassy with the Grand Duchy
The Dominion has the Embassy in Capella already well under construction for the arrival of the representatives of the Grand Duchy of 46566. Also, the Grand Dominion already has sent Ambassador Mr. Collin Person on a long flight to Midgar. The Dominion is quite excited about the future of Dominion-Duchy relations.

Open Borders to be voted on by Dominion Parliament
A bill that has been on everyone’s mind’s recently, deals with the complete and total opening of the Dominion’s water and land borders to all countries. Current law requires that, in order for any ship or aircraft to go into the Dominion borders, the Dominion must approve of what nation they are coming from. As of right now, there are no trade pacts with any other nations in Mare Titanus; meaning no ships or aircraft other than Dominion are allowed in the borders. This bill will allow every nation in Mare Titanus to pass through Dominion borders 100%. The bill has massive support by all parties, left and right. People in the Dominion have realized that our Island states sit in what will become a massive crisscross of trade routes from all nations in the Mare Titanus; and the prospect of trade, new culture and a large boost to a currently booming economy excites many in the Grand Dominion.

The Grand Dominion & The Most Serene Republic Reaches Compromise

New Hope, Ajerrin, Enkon - Today the governments of Earth Empire & Mare Solis have both agreed on a compromise that would eliminate tensions & bring peace to the Mare Titanus. Mare Solis is to allow Earth Empire the ability to colonize half of Hexagon 2924. Also, Mare Solis is to cede a fragment of islands in Hexagon 2923 to the Grand Dominion. In return, the Most Serene Republic is allowed to colonize the remainder of the island. Both governments have also agreed to a joint naval base in the future, in order to preserve the Mare Titanus and each other. In addition, the Most Serene Republic is to sign a limited mutual defense treaty with the Grand Dominion. Some highlights of the treaty are: a reduced price on Solisian-made armaments, war games & joint military exercises can be performed, and if the Grand Dominion uses military aggression towards any nation or organization, the Grand Dominion has the option to call the Solisian Armed Forces (SAF) for military aid. But the SAF is not entitled nor does it have the responsibility to cooperate, for any reason. The compromise will be signed in New hope when both ambassadors arrive. Regarding the limited mutual defense treaty, it is expected that the treaty will be signed at a later date, once the actual treaty itself has been written and presented to both of the parties.

With the ambassador there was a offer sent to the country a free trade agreement and the option to talk about a possible military alliance between the two countries. The alliance will be purely defensive in nature.

In a much-anticipated move, the Sultans from around the Emirates gather in Akhmis today to officially announce Onza's membership in the Western Confederacy.

The body, which is an international economic alliance of nations, currently consists of the High Sultanate of Maledictoria, the founding member, the Grand Duchy of 46566, and now the United Democratic Emirates. While the Confederacy lacks the ability to regulate the laws of member nations, it does have a set of strictly-economic guidelines for members to follow - all of which Onza is in line with.

While citizens aren't likely to notice a difference in their everyday lives - other than the ability to invest in bank accounts in the Grand Duchy, the Confederacy is expected to bring all of the currently-known western nations together, and possibly reduce hostilities coming from Maledictoria, who just last week announced that the Emirates were "not on the agenda."

"It is a step in the right direction - one that will benefit Onza in the long run," said Sultan Kamil Albaf of Naqqar.

Also announced after the meeting was that the United Technocratic Realms approved of the Emirates's proposed Proclamation of Formal Relations, which opens trade between the two nations. Currently, the United Federation of Ajerrin has not yet approved or disapproved of their respective proposition.

While it may seem that Onza has made many friends already, there are still many more nations which have had ambassadors sent to them, but no word as to how these diplomatic missions have gone has been released as of yet. In the meantime, the Sultans that currently form the temporary government are working diligently to prepare the nation for the upcoming Presidential election, which will mark the nation's shift to a fully-democratic government at last.

UFA Calls For High-Level Meeting

Sources close to the Foreign Affairs Ministry confirmed a high-level meeting with a large number of Ambassadors will be taking place in the next few days. Just yesterday, the Ambassadors of Earth Empire and Mare Solis sat with Minister Keilani to sign a compromise resolving land sovereignty issues. Earlier this week Ambassador Ahmed of Onza stood with the Federation Council to sign bilateral agreements. Athretvari Ambassador Charl Kofl also resides in New Hope, but has yet to make any announcements with the Federation. Calls to the Foreign Affairs Ministry were not returned.

Valencia del Sol, Mare Solis, Enkon - Today the first wave of survivors in Siberiae, an arctic planet located in NCON Star 2, has arrived in the landing port in Valencia del Sol. The survivors have been admitted to dorms and are to be enrolled to a re-introduction program designed to re-introduce the Siberians back into Solisian culture. The Siberians have been settled in throughout major Solisian cities. Although it is great that the Solisian government is spending resources to re-locate Solisians in the old NCON Star Systems, major cities in Mare Solis, Enkon are running out of space. Valencia del Sol, which was designed to be a temporary capital for the Solisian government is the only major city that has not reached its capacity. But if the MSSC continues to make trips to Siberiae & return with more survivors the city population will be over the city's capacity. The Solisian government also has plans for the MSSC to start making trips to Aborea, and is estimated that those plans are to commenced soon. In response to an appalling projected population, the Solisian government has started annexing neighboring territories in order to combat a projected overpopulated Mare Solis. Now that the Grand Dominion of Earth Empire & the Most Serene Republic have agreed to a compromise, the Solisian government now have the ability to colonize the rest of the island.

"I know that our population is growing too fast, I know that our cities don't have the capacity to hold that population, and I know that bringing in survivors from the NCON Star Systems would only fuel it. Ever since President Roland de la Cruz asked MSSC ships to transport survivors from the "old worlds" to Enkon, the public reception has been quite positive even when it fuels the overpopulation problems in the major cities of Mare Solis. President Roland de la Cruz has shed some light on which territories the President plans to annex. The President plans to annex half of Hexagon 2924, Hexagon 3025, and the islands of Hexagon 2726 & 2626.

In a relatively unexpected announcement late last night, His Highness Sheikh Abu Ali II announced that he had formally requested to the Grand Duchy of 46566 that Maledictoria be allowed to host the headquarters of the Western Confederacy.

"Khorramabad is fit and able to host the Western Confederacy. There is no valid reason as to why this offer should be rejected, as we are more than willing to fund the entire construction, as well as pay for the upkeep."

His Highness even proposed architectural plans for the building, which is a bank-style skyscraper with a steeple. He later added in writing that he thought that Maledictoria was in a central location that would be perfect for all Western Confederacy members to meet halfway.

The Grand Duchy has plenty of time to respond, according to the High Sultan, but he expressed an interest in starting the construction project soon.

In other news, the United Federation of Ajerrin has approved of Onza's Proclamation of Formal Relations, which included a non-aggression pact. No officials have commented on this yet, but it is to be noted that this is the second nation to adopt formal relations with the Emirates.

Midgar,46566- The Grand Duchy government gave it's conditional okay with the construction of the Confederacy HQ to be within Maledictoria. The sole condition is that no harassment happens with the Onza delegation within Maledictoria territory. The reasoning behind allowing the country of Maledictoria to have the HQ is in the hopes of having a less hostile tension between Maledictoria and Onza.

In a much-anticipated response to Maledictoria's permission to host the headquarters of the Western Confederacy in Khorramabad, the temporary government has expressed concern, but willingness to let the construction go ahead.

"Onza has always been a proponent for extinguishing any unnecessary hostilities between the two nations, and while we will be weary when sending our delegates to the Western Confederacy into Maledictorian territory, we applaud the Grand Duchy's conditional acceptance as it de-escalates hostilities between the High Sultanate and the United Democratic Emirates," the response said.

The Emirates has yet to announce who will be the nation's chief delegate, however.

The United Federation of Ajerrin also accepted the Emirates's Proclamation of Formal Relations, which the response mentioned was a "step in the right direction." The proposal included a non-aggression pact, a free trade agreement, and a recognition of sovereignty.

The Emirates also sent its ambassador to Ajerrin, Leila Ahmed, to New Hope to discuss the possible formation of a high-profile international body. Whether or not Ms. Ahmed will be the nation's official delegate to this body is not yet official, however.

MARIA — The Council of State overwhelming approved a resolution recognizing the Government of the Grand Duchy today, while quickly disputing that any treaty had yet to be signed by the UTR supposedly granting special rights to the two countries across the planet.

"We assure all the nations of the Enkon that no treaty exists establishing any spheres of influence or granting special privileges to either the United Realms nor the Grand Duchy in any part of the world. The United Realms is and will remain committed to a course of non-alignment and respect for the equality, sovereignty, and rights of all nations. We will not support any treaty that establishes special rights or access for any nation in the world, but instead will seek to work with the Grand Duchy and other powers to protect each of our rights to peacefully navigate the open seas, and freely interact with the other nations of our world. We believe that together with the Grand Duchy, we can insure that no one nation seeks to dominate our world ocean or any part of it. The United Realms is a maritime nation, freedom of the seas is essential to our being and future," said an official at the secretariat of the Council of State, who wanted to remain off-record because he didn't have authority to speak to the press.

"The Realms is hoping that the Grand Duchy shares their appreciation of the horrific mistakes of the past. They're hoping that Midgar will want a free Mare as much as Maria does."

Asked what the Realms position would be if nations do begin to close off sections of the Mare, "The UTR will officially only recognize one hex of territorial sea from a nation's shoreline. Beyond that they believe is international waters and therefore free to peacefully traverse. If they fail to get a widely accepted guarantee to a free Mare, some type of Law of the Sea, and a nation challenges them in waters they consider should be free, the Realms would almost certainly consider it an act of war and act aggressively to exert its rights to navigate."

Grand Duchy sets military level
Midgar,46566- The Grand Duchy has lowered it military level to 1% of it's population. While the funding will remain the same, the number of divisions will be lowered.During previous problems the standard Grand Duchy military was 2% of the national population. The new influx of civilians will be sent to work on upgrading the national infrastructure within the Duchy itself. Also being built in a small canal being built south of the Capital Midgar. This will open up the eastern part of the country to the sea.

Midgar,46566-The Grand Duchy understands the UTR's unwillingness to sign such a treaty and thus the Grand Duchy has sent a similar treaty without the influence part to the UTR government in Maria. The Grand Duchy own laws on territorial waters actually only covers half a hex away from the nearest land. The Grand Duchy would sign a International sea accord establishing territorial waters and the rights to neutral shipping.

MARIA — The United Realms federal Council of State has approved a new resolution authorizing the Secretary of State to draft and propose an international "law of the seas" to the nations of the Enkon within the region's newly emerging multinational organizations, especially within the Global Alliance.

Wallasz Angromit, a Department of State spokesman said, "The United Realms will seek to work with all the active nations in the region to support establishing basic international rules and understandings between our nations before any misunderstandings occur and escalate into conflict. The government in Maria believes that by acting early, the nations of Enkon can preemptively establish their equal rights and better insure peace and stability in the region, which they believe is essential to every nation's prosperity."

the Definition of Territorial Seas and Exclusive Economic Zones (The UTR is expected to press for 1 hex and 3 hexes respectively)

Midgar,46566- With overpopulation in the cities of Midgar,Fourside and Gongaga. The Grand Duchy has decided to colonize another place.The plan will relive some of the stress on the parts of the empire. With this plan the population numbers will drop within those cites but be moved to another part of the country. The government will buy up the land from the owners and build things to help increase the public happiness.

With the addition of the new cities the governmental provinces will be redrawn to show the new districts and cities. The plan will add around 5 districts to the total number of districts. Hit the most would be the three cities previously mentioned.

After a long period of deliberation, the temporary government of Onza has decided how it plans to set up Onza's permanent government, which will later be defined in a constitution.

Though it took much debate, the various Sultans eventually decided to make Onza an Emirate - true to its name. This means that Onza will be divided into eight "Emirates." Each Emirate is independent in that it has its own government, run by a legislature and headed by a Sultan, and they have one major city of the same name as well as smaller settlements in them.

Each of these Emirates, however, must respect national laws passed down from the federal government, which will be headed by a President, and have a legislature. It has not yet been decided if this legislature will be bicameral or unicameral. Emirates' laws may be challenged by the national government's courts.

All of these leaders will be democratically elected.

An election date has not yet been decided, but one is being worked on. Currently, the list of known Presidential candidates is rather long, but it is expected to slim down as specifics of the responsibilities of said position are unveiled at a later time.

The World was devistated, the people of McNernian forced deep into the underground cities they called home, the caves were the protection from the radiation and the world above, the air in the dark warrens had to be constantly recycled and food was something hard to get with the irrated land above, the vaults were a vast network of tunnels, near the surface was facilites for acessing the outside enviorment and bringing in the ruins of the past.

The standard of living was poor, people looked around and saw that everyone was dying from living in the vaults, these were not the fallout vaults, small and cramped, these were cities deep under the earth home to millions of people. The food supply faling meant that the priority was to send a expedition into space to find a habitable world, the ship was built in orbit a vast thing at a vaster station.

As was announced by the Prime Minister, a new position has been created in order to maintain good relationships with our neighbours in planet Enkon. The Minister of Foreign Affairs will be María Márquez. Currently, she is the spokeswoman for the Socialist Alliance of Countriopia in the Congress Internal Affairs Commission.

She received the Onzaian ambassador to Countriopia, Raza Amjad, and she expressed him her intention to appoint representatives to the other nations in planet Enkon. "We want to create new cultural and cooperation ties with our neighbours," she said, "that is our main objective." They also spoke about the recent compromise between Mare Solis and Earth Empire, which could lead to a more stable solution to the borders in the Eastern Enkon area.

Also, they talked about the newly created Western Confederacy, and the International Treaty of the Seas proposed by Athretvari and the new organisation of the Onzaian future permanent government.

The Foreign Affairs Office now holds the following positions: Jim Jameson as the Ambassador to 46566, The Duchess Sarah Schuldt as the Ambassador to Athretvari, Colin Crowe as the Ambassador to Onza, Claudio Renzi as the Ambassador to Ivstinian, and Steven Twiggs as the Ambassador to Countriopia.

The United Federation of Ajerrin announced today that it had appointed Ambassador Colin Crowe to be its official representative to the Emirates. Officials across Onza welcomed the appointment, noting that the appointment was "a sign of even more good relations to come."

Not much has been released about Mr. Crowe, but officials did comment that he "boasts an impressive record."

The Emirates' ambassador to Countriopia was also received by officials, recently, who discussed with him many regional happenings.
