The 61st Parallel Line. Current Date
The soldiers were anxious, it was here that the war would begin. The border between the R.H. and the people of Agathourn. Observation drones had been reporting R.H. troops beginning to train, probably preparing themselves to attack Agathourn. The air was anxious at it's brightest days and on it's darkest days gloomy and dark. The Agathournian military was at a gigantic disadvantage. Spies intercepted encrypted communications between R.H. and another nation, probably Izenmar, but they weren't able to crack it, which meant that the R.H. would have another military willing to support it. Not only that the R.H. had a larger army, and better funding! Infact the entire nation was practically brainwashed from what the commanders were told, they believed that they have some sort of given right to enter other territories and do what they wish. But the Agathournian people were vicious, and patriotic to the point of being borderline nationalist, propaganda had done its job well and the people were willing to give their lives to the last person alive in this nation to defend their great homeland. The two regions of South and Northern Agathourn had basically combined for the time being and the were cooperating on a scale that hadn't been seen for 70 years at least. Still, the commanders questioned whether a fierce patriotism would help win the war. While Zansterria told them they'd be willing to help they couldn't trust them. For all they knew, they were in this war alone. Many of the soldiers were riled up, prepared to load their rifles and fight for the homeland, for the sovereignty of Agathourn but others knew better. Others, like Sergeant Mark Feng had witnessed the horrors in war before and what it could do to a naive soldier whose closest to experience with using a gun against someone was paintball. The commanders gathered in HQ everyday, from dawn into late at night before heading back to their quarters looking drained and worried, some with the streaks left behind by tears fresh on their faces. Then it was rinse and repeat. For soldiers it was different, wake up early at 6:00 take showers, dress, eat, then do your stationary duties. Some cracked light hearted but dark jokes and others just stood at their post watching without movement on their face indicating they weren't just robots built for war. But at the back of everyone's mind was the lingering fear of the time when those soldiers across the line would cross the border and pull their triggers on their rifles.

Agathournian Intelligence Headquarters
Twenty of some of the nations finest men gathered inside of the executives room, in the middle was a long wooden elegant wooden table with steel beam supports. They sat in comfortable chairs as lines and stacks of neatly organized papers were placed on the table. The President himself, the Vice President, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of Foreign Administration, the Director of Domestic Intelligence, and the fifteen high generals of Agathourn discussed amongst themselves as Director Lin explained the situation to them. "As you're all aware we are in a times of crisis and our nation's military will soon be put to possibly the hardest test they can ever come face." he begun. "This enemy is so big, so dedicated that this military will struggle to fight it's vastness. But we have allies as well, Zansterria has already stated that they would support us in this conflict, if we could get the Republic of Hecton to support us militaristically as well we just might as the skills to win this war. Hecton's military is experienced, as they have been in so many wars and have observed so many conflicts it is without a doubt that they would be a huge asset to us. Zansterria is an economic beast, their military being only slightly smaller in comparison to the R.H. If we play our cards right we might just have enough to destroy R.H. and it's allies to dust and show that we will not become puppet states of their empire. Recent reports from drones have shown that the R.H.'s military is training and could possibly invade soon as well." Camera fades out of the room to black The men discussed for hours, allowing no one into the room other than essential people. Eventually the meeting was over and the twenty men left the room but agreed to meet once a week to conduct business a state of the coalitions meeting.

The Retributions Hammer begins their attack on Agathourn and Zansterria, aiming primarily on military personnel but not their walls. Several jet fighters from RH have began destroying farms and crop fields of Zansterria, while also having multiple soldiers and tanks going to start a frontal attack on Agathourn, having another squadron attacking from it's flank.
One particular thing about it, is that they are not attacking any innocents, and it is possible they may try to take the city, or at least, severe Agathourn's military power. This might bring a relief to the citizens of Agathourn knowing they will not be killed. However, if the innocents start to attack back, and based on the Secretaries' orders, may cause a massacre. If citizen retaliation DID occur, it may seem like someone is preventing military attacks on civilians.

*ENCRYPTED MESSAGE FORWARDING TO ZANSTERRIA AND AGATHOURN*
FROM: PRESIDENT XYARIO TYVERNIUS
"I am sorry for the attacks on your military personnel, ranked officials of Zansterria and Agathourn. However, as you might see, I am not ordering the attack the military personnel on your nation; my secretaries are. After this war, I might as well recruit new ones. Also, I have also caused a compromise on a meeting between all military and other high officials of my government that no innocents shall be harmed. I hope you are gladdened by this. On the other hand, I am deeply sorry for your people that die defending your homeland. I also admire your courage, despite fighting the Retributions Hammer's ridiculously large army, that you decide to stand your ground. Similarly to what happened to this nation long time ago. I hope this war ends faster with low casualties than a brutal war.
Serve to Fight, Fight to Survive, Survive to Eternity, my friends."

Presidential Crisis Room, Zansterria City
12 of the President's advisers sit around a table. The atmosphere is tense.
"I didn't think the RH would honestly invade us," lamented President Loman," [to Secretary of Defense] General, what should we do?"

"Mr. President, we have drawn up defensive plans already in case of an attack like this by the RH. Though we are slightly outnumbered by the RH's massive military with our 170 million troops vs their 220 million, our superior weapons may allow us to hold them back close to our borders. I need your permission to fire our ICBMs," responded General Pat Toomey.

President Loman signs the documents with trepidation.

"The missiles are targeting strategic communications and infrastructure sites to disrupt the enemy's supply lines," continued the General, "our tank brigades have currently stopped enemy advancement in a valley 60 miles away from the city of Pennsfield."

The Secretary of Energy is the next to speak. "Mr. President, the enemy is targeting our power grid. They have not been able to do significant damage so far, but I cannot guarantee the grid will stay up."

"Understood. It is clear we need more help against the RH forces. I will request an alliance from Hecton. Their military will make us equal in number to the RH forces," responded the President.

Letter to the Republic of Hecton
From: President Loman, United Peoples of Zansterria
"The nation of the United Peoples of Zansterria urgently requests your aid in the efforts against the belligerent nation Retributions Hammer. Their unprovoked and unjustified invasion is motivated by avarice and malice, and we must repel their advancements in order to ensure Agathourn's independence. The RH must not be allowed to take Agathourn as it would be detrimental to the interests of every country in this region."

Please Respond Quickly,
President Loman
