It's not useless. It carries PAVE PAWS and OTH radar, this fucker can detect ships and little planes in an area the size of china.

Which is grand in the whacky, zany world of unlimited NS.

But in a limited setting, you have a ship (assuming it's more expensive than the Longsword) that's worth the entire average US military budget...for two to three years. Seems like expensive overkill that's more trouble than it's worth.

While I was thinking about that, it still seems rather weak, considering my military has shown no signs yet. I was thinking of a rising resistance back home, that culminates into a civil war, with the troops withdrawing because the government needs all the troops it can afford.

Now that I think about it, I might hold off a week or two. At least long enough for Oale to launch an attack and NFE as well.
