I don't post pictures in my IC posts, I think it looks messy and I prefer to write directly from my imagination rather than try to hassle and find a picture that matches what I had in mind exactly.

I haven't really made up my mind on that yet. Except for your guns. I would like all of them.

I created an intro/origin rp, just introducing some characters that will be important later on. I am sorry if you think its diluted its just ive been wanting to write something like that for awhile. Rest assured if I ever reply it will be much more direct!

A huge bulk of the Kapran army consists of trained Kitai, lightly-armed skirmishers who fight in loose formation and use guerilla tactics. Although traditionally armed with swords and crossbows, the development of new weapons such as the M1860 Air Rifle (just as powerful as most gunpowder-based rifles, although shorter-range), and the Kitashari meant that they were on par with elite skirmishers across the world, whilst still being able to outmaneuver their opponents. More recently, Kitai have also been equipped with Rifle Rockets, which consist of a small fired explosive charge, effective against light armour and fortifications. Although unmatched in the jungles of Promethia, the Kitai under-perform in large-scale open combat.

Paper armor? Explain, please.

Quite literally what it is!

The Chinese used lacquered paper armour from around 900 BC to the late 19th century. Surprisingly, it was effective in melee combat and could protect against anything up to rifle bullets (hence why it was only dropped in the 19th century with the introduction of firearms). There are even some myths that the armour was as strong as steel, though that's obviously exaggerating a bit.

The only major disadvantage of paper armour is that it can't handle long-term wear and tear very well, so they weren't really viable for long campaigns (they just fell apart). Explains why I'm only using the armour for my skirmishers, who are deployed for individual battles (the downside of the air rifles, although silent, is that they can only fire 40-50 shots before they need to be re-pressurized).

Although historically it's rather difficult to know how it was made, I did a bit of research and discovered that effective paper armour could be made from layered strips of paper, laminated with wax and alum. The armour is about ten times lighter than steel, is water-resistant and very easy to make and repair.
