@Sarmandar: You can begin posting on there and we can set up a mutal protection pact to give us some hope in these uncertain times!

That beginning was so clever, as I was reading I was like "this seems way too modern" and then I get to the grandmother. Anyway knights, just a small thing, but despite my name, my nation's called the Imperial Sarmandars- it's a plural, kind of like the Azores, States, or Russias (from the tzar's title).

But a few minutes after Alois had left, and some more soldiers died. A new queen piece was added to the chess board. A gun-tractor, the first of Servothian design, it was a monster. Emerald shaped, if one looked upon it from above; its body was angular, flat, and cut at many odd angles. From under the turret was a pair of tracts which carried the thing. Puffs of steam and smoke came from under the turret at random intervals. From the housing was a rotating chamber which could hold five shells and extending from that was a long barrel.
This weapon had obviously been built from half stolen schematics and mechanical diagrams, and half patch together and garage work, then all the inner parts hidden under a Servothian-esque casing. This was easy to tell by the signature Servothian backwards slanted smoke stack which stuck out of the top of the turret's casing. The gun-tractor rolled down the street, the cobblestone underneath it warped and cracked under the machines enormous weight, it stopped a building away from the post office, then following a multitude of clicks the turret face the office's front. Then it fired three shells inside and waited for news.

A trail of black smoke appeared behind the Cygnaran force, the faint sound of steel-stomping ground could be heard if one listened closely. Up the hill appeared a gun metal black machine of steel and steam. It was massive, twice more than any Cygnaran machine of the same branch, and as such, a Warjack twice as slow as anything before it.
It was painted black; and perhaps the only other colors on it were the white, heavy canvas cloth covering the inner workings of the midriff, the Red Servothian War flag, and the white paint on its' side which read " Operationen 14-----Kriegsmaschine Plattform 1".
Its' armor was flat and angular, like any machine made by Servothian military engineers. It was heavy, blocky, and looked as if it could take quite a few shells. Protruding from the Servothian Warjack's back was the signature backwards pointing smokestack, which was belching black smoke and hot excess steam. The Black warjack's armor was considerably bare, plain, and boring compared to the armor of a Cygnaran warjack. Perhaps the only for of adornment on the mech was a golden and flat Servothian Eagle placed over the eyes.
In the right hand of the war machine, a long artillery cannon (most notably with a revolving chamber holding six shells, and a bayonet-esqe four foot blade attached to the end), its' left hand holding onto the barrel; on the shoulder of the left too, a hailfire gun, which alternately fired sticky grenades and chlorine canisters.

If at all possible I would like to be known as a nation that has not so much made an impression with new technology ( Welgii would in fact not have invented anything significant in the field of engines, guns or whatever) but the nation has made an impression by how they combine new innovations in their vehicles and equipment.

Ya. I remember a few years ago going to an American Civil War museum here in my Home state, and seeing at one of the exhibits about how cannonballs would literally bounce off the side of slanted, thick iron armor of Ironclad ships. SO, I decided to make it a thing were Servothians make slanted armor on their vehicles out of habit.
Sorry about ruining that dream for you. Didn't mean to.

I was looking for a picture of the Yellow Beast Gun Tractor but I couldn't find it. But as I understand it, it was originally a Cyprum Xecuii-design?
Ya, the Yellow Beast doesn't have a picture, most of my designs are based purely on my imagination, so I am forced to write these long descriptive paragraphs about my equipment.
But yes, the Yellow Beast was stolen from the original Gun tractor designs, as it originate in Cyprum Xecuii as far as I know. Hence the name being a bad pun on Zhaoan soldiers. Servothians have a tendency to always want to be on the cutting edge of technology. So, if you find a Servothian spy in your factories or laboratories, just wave hello, throw him out, and his replacement will be coming by shortly.Welgium wrote:It's okay. Ok then.
