I'm pretty worried I'm going to be left out in the cold here in terms of alliances. I'd like to ally with Fanaglia and Inoroth, with them being my two most immediate and powerful neighbors (Mishmahig's out of the question as there are little Mishmahig Christians in the Imperial Sarmandars), but I'm also pagan and I don't think the highly Catholic Inoroth would approve of that. Striking it out alone is too risky as I've been told. I guess I could try to form another alliance (I'm thinking something with a "League" in its name) but it doesn't seem like anyone close to me would join. Better polish the guns I guess

Wait, I'm confused. Is your claim the red, the black, or both? What's this about a two-ocean navy? In any case, one of those two areas would be slightly larger than what I'd like to see, let alone both. A large nation in that area makes for a very complicated history (as has been discussed before).

@Minroz, Again, your claim takes an island I own. Fan, when you make the final map, would you cut off the claim at Phi Sinh?

It's not that you can't do that; it's just that it's so cliche already. It's become a bit of a pet peeve of mine. Well, find a good explanation for why you've been "in isolation" and what caused you to suddenly come out of it and we'll see.

There might be some reluctance from the two most powerful members of the Alliance (myself and, more especially, Inoroth), but, given the rising threat of FIN, any friendly face would be far more welcome than in calmer times.

Doesn't mean it is in Fanaglia, or that we even have one. Servoth is based of German culture, yet there isn't a Vaporverse Brandenburg Gate.

I'd actually be willing to let you troops through so I suppose I could have maintained neutrality in all, but name like the United States did in the early years of WW2.

In all seriousness though, I feel I should have clarified in my app that my general theme of my nation would be similar to an Iberian island, hoping to do lots of trading, and becoming a naval power (or at least have an influence on the seas) eventually. Although my coming out of isolation idea is rather lame, I'm unsure of how else to really do my story considering I'd pop up in the middle of the ocean. I would be open to starting off as some nation's colony if there was a mutually understanding I'd gain my independence at some point; however, I feel that would complicate the history of what's already progressed in Vapor.

Vitzenburg- famous for the invention of the Submarine, power suits, and radar.
Servoth- famous for the invention of the telephone, airplanes, and computers.
Cygnar- famous for the invention of warjacks, all warjacks, like all nine designs excluding those more recently built by allies.
Wirbel- famous for the invention of the airship and synthesizing chlorine bombs.
Dal- famous for a few naval advancements and Tesla technology.
Novairia- famous for his very rare landships.

Most FIN nations have a lot of resources invested into technological research and engineering design, me specifically with an entire 28 secret military bases dedicated to it. Of course the Alliance has some notable inventions, mostly in Fanaglia though, Inoroth is just a slob that "reserve engineers," aka steals.

Khamul invented the gas chamber.

Also, I don't believe I invented the airship. I remember in the first RP my nation built their first in 1885, while Fanaglia was already operating massive ships.
