90% of that situation makes sound sense. My only concern with Orange hosting is that, in the first decade of the 20th century (which is when I'm assuming this conference would take place), how politically important will the nation be? I know you had mentioned wanting to do a resource scramble RP in the 1870s or so, but I'm just unsure of the dynamics of the Orange Provinces an international scale in this time period. No offense, but you seem more likely to be the target of colonialism (not that anyone could conquer you, but that wouldn't stop them from trying) than a host for colonial powers. Of course, maybe I'm being presumptive. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I think it should be hosted there as not much people know about its' culture and as such get more interested in colonisation, because everyone literally strives to become multi-cultural empire. And for more freedom loving nations against the colonisation, they could point out how the people they're going to colonise have their own distinction, they're not barbarians.

I never knew much about the Berlin Conference, honestly. Reading up on it on Wikipedia, though, it sounds like a convenient way to kick off our new era and make it make a bit more sense. Who would call for it? Where would it be hosted? Who would be invited? Or would it be sort of an "everyone's invited!" kind of thing?

It's the turn of the 20th century. Of course it's racist. Besides, I can see the argument against including Zhao. I don't necessarily agree, but don't necessarily disagree, either. Pretty much everyone over there is extremely unstable and/or disorganized, including yourself. Plus, you're pretty much the only real imperial power over there at this point in history and the West is plain scared of you because you're batshit insane, but, at the same time, you're not taken entirely seriously.
