Okay, so I've been reading a bit about flags, and I'd like to take a crack at designing one on my own, rather than using an existing one, but I'd like some help: if you all wouldn't mind telling me what you think of it?

This flag is much like my existing one, except that I have narrowed the central white stripe, and have added a white horizontal stripe, forming a cross that is covered by the shield. The crown has been removed for ease of reproduction and recognition. I haven't decided if it is to be the new national flag, or an alternate flag, or perhaps for a specified use, like a Civil Flag/Ensign or a State Flag/Ensign or something along those lines... any comments would be welcome.

I several more ideas, but I'd like to see what ya'll think of this one first.

Looks nice, fairly original. I'm not sure what you would specifically use it for, but hey who needs a reason to change flags? I do it all the time, and simply placed each iteration within a specific canon time period.

Thanks, I actually might keep it as a Civil Flag, whereas the one I use now would be either the National Flag or the State Flag (first meaning). I've also made Ensigns for each flag, as well as a diplomatic Ensign, because why not?

This square flag may be flown by by all non-military, non-governmental watercraft and aircraft.

Darn, the background for the photos is white, so the rectangular flag is lost... might have to fix that eventually

I like it better than your current one, if only because it's actually yours. It really does look good, but I think the blue border around the shield is a bit too bold. Perhaps a narrower and/or darker border would look better.

EDIT: I think I found an article about Inoroth. It happened relatively near where he lives and by reasons of logic it MUST have been him. Plus I sort of imagine him driving a van

I do usually drive a van (or a 3-door saturn car), and I did pass by that town today going up on vacation this weekend in Sault St. Marie with friends, but someone else drove their BMW, and we didn't collide with any trucks (or 'lorries', as some call them). Still, it was pretty bad at times driving, and there were more than one near-collisions with vehicles in front of us.

Still trying to decided what to do after all those years of military build-up. Maybe I should build thousands of underwater, and flying, Bowling Alleys all across the world!

But seriously, my nation has the military-industrial complex as well as a spying ring to supply that information, yet no war to use it in! The 1910 War was averted, so much potential lost...

Maybe I'll try to do humanitarian work or try to beat a bunch of engineering records, like 'World's Largest Zeppelin' or something like that.

Because that doesn't have the same challenge as fighting a real army. Additionally, the last attempt by me to invade a foreign land and control the locals, resulted in a boatload of bad publicity. So if I do invade a native's land, it is going to be very humanitarian in purpose.


Also, because I wanted to tell everyone but not publish an article on the wiki, conquered lands or (places otherwise under Servothian control) have 'Guardian Dragons.' Guardian Dragons being stone statues (measurements: 2.5 Meters tall, 1.5 Meter wide at base) which ceremoniously protect an area, such as a city or large expansions of land. Smaller areas, such as towns and villages or outposts and military bases may hold smaller Guardians, being one fourth of the size of the larger statues. Each one is named, typically with a something that helps describe the area it protects. Sometimes Guardian Dragons are lost, one such in Luxburg which now lays destroyed, and another mysteriously sunken in the Gulf of Cadwal.

I was talking about the 1910 War as a purely Amplector war, starting in and branching out from Amplector. Additionally, calling it the '1910 War' since we are starting to pull passed that year. Really, naming the war after a year was a bad idea, I don't know why we all agreed with it.

Also, radios are now ready for use! Some lucky wealthy citizens will get to hear about the horrors of the war at home!
