Ceryl is fine. A conference between FIN and the rest of Amplector is needed, once the AC is shot down.

As I've said before, I think there should be some sort of portal for all the individual colonization threads and that should be linked up to the main OP, it reduces clog and doesn't have the massive clusterfuck that would be a Berlin Conference. Remember the time when we had just one Vapor IC thread? Remember?

Well, the way I understand it so far, our Berlin Conference 2.0 would not be too dissimilar to what the Amplector Conference was supposed to be. Just an RP with some healthy (likely heated) debate about who gets to colonize what areas. That doesn't necessarily mean you get those areas. You could still get your ass kicked by natives like Italy did in Ethiopia, or repelled by a new nation or an alliance of them, or by underhanded dealings by other nations or a certain shady corporation.

I never knew much about the Berlin Conference, honestly. Reading up on it on Wikipedia, though, it sounds like a convenient way to kick off our new era and make it make a bit more sense. Who would call for it? Where would it be hosted? Who would be invited? Or would it be sort of an "everyone's invited!" kind of thing?

In the mean time, while we discuss the potential details, I'll create a poll.

I'd imagine that I'm not invited. It's okay, considering that my colonization is rather... unique. Attempting to get the southern island due to SAF presence, and expanding borders after our southern neighbor goes to war with us.

I suppose I could send a representative to this conference to mention that we've discovered a major SAF stronghold and are planning to seize the island to pacify the threat.

90% of that situation makes sound sense. My only concern with Orange hosting is that, in the first decade of the 20th century (which is when I'm assuming this conference would take place), how politically important will the nation be? I know you had mentioned wanting to do a resource scramble RP in the 1870s or so, but I'm just unsure of the dynamics of the Orange Provinces an international scale in this time period. No offense, but you seem more likely to be the target of colonialism (not that anyone could conquer you, but that wouldn't stop them from trying) than a host for colonial powers. Of course, maybe I'm being presumptive. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
