The Secretariat of State is the oldest dicastery in the Roman Curia, the government of the Roman Catholic Church. It is headed by the Cardinal Secretary of State, currently


Congregations are a type of dicastery (department with a jurisdiction) of the Roman Curia, which is the central administrative organism of the Catholic Church. Each Congregation is led by a prefect, who is a Cardinal. The Cardinal-Prefect is usually assited by a Secretary, who is usually an Archbishop. In turn, the Archbishop-Secretary is sometimes assisted by an Undersecretary, usually a Monsignor.

Breheim was only united in the early 16th century, and at the time it was mostly Catholic. However, the western areas of the country adopted catholicism throughout the 12th to 14th century, while the eastern and northern areas of the country never truly did (having pagan majorities even in the modern day, despite extensive missionary attempts both by the Crown and the Church). Catholicism itself was banned in the 16th century when the King of Breheim converted to Lutheranism, and was only legalized again following the Republican Revolution in 1792.
Monetary Contribution (Optional): $9,000,000 have been gathered among the faithful of both the Roman Catholic Church and the Church of Kvitekrist.

A secondary note: Both the Roman Catholic Church in Breheim and the Church/Cult of Kvitekrist recognize the chair of St. Peter, but the latter are... quite heretical in many respects. While the Roman Catholic Church follows the dogma of the church, the Church of Kvitekrist does not, and in truth, have adopted many elements of Breheimian Paganism, including ritualistic sacrifice (albeit, not of humans nor live animals) and the majority show little knowledge of Christian values and beliefs, instead adhering to an eclectic mix of Christianity and Paganism. Among other things, they depict Christ as a warrior-deity, and some even worship the saints on the same level as Christ himself. They have, however, attempted to formally join the Roman Catholic Church, but show resistance towards fully following the doctrines and beliefs of the church proper, and they do not recognize the authority of the Archbishop of Kirkby.
