"Fiorella de Rossi," she offered her hand. In a very firm, business-like tone, she said, "I trust there are no problems with my taking as much control over the situation as I can. We'll be much more efficient, I guarantee, than anything else you've got here."

She reached her other hand over to the side, palm upward. Her companion translator placed a stack of papers in her hand. She groaned a little as the stack noticeably weighed her hand down. Bringing them forward, she held them out to Xiu-tai. "Get around to having these read and filled out, if you would be so kind. There's a lot of bureaucracy that goes on behind everything and we must be impeccable."

As an afterthought and a moment's silence, she added, "We will, of course, commence operations immediately, rather than wait for the paperwork. We're not animals." She smiled. "Now, here's the general idea of what will happen. We have helicopters that will airlift all wounded to the hospital ship, critical patients prioritized. We'll be passing out these fliers," she pointed to the first page of the stack, "so that everyone can look up what the various symbols we write on the patients are."

Coughing, she realized that she had built up some speed and direction in her voice, yet had just finished what she had to say. "Well, to work. I'm sure you have things to get to. You can get in contact with me any time, just ask around if you can't find me."

Doctor Rick Austin was currently tending to a patient with a severe infection in a cut on her foot.
"Has to come off..." He thought bitterly, motioning to one of the sergeans, he pointed to the woman then ordered the amputation in Defesian.

The sergean nodded, then wheeled her away, a moment later he faced a young boy with a large cut on his arm, and Rick could see the bone.

"Jesus!" Rick exclaimed, before calming down and began working on the child.

After he was done, Rick wiped his arm on his forhead, and left the child alone to heal. The wound was cleaned and worked on, now the child was in a cast laying sedated on the bed.
