Canada to fight China

Postby Ithartania » Fri Jan 03, 2014 9:50 pm

The Canadian Empire is going to deploy 114,000 Troops and 2,300 Tanks along with other support and aerial units to engage the oppressive threat in China. The Canadian Empire is TOTALLY against the repression of religion and civil liberties and feels that nations such as China should be reformed accordingly.

The Canadian Empire will consolidate its forces and attacks on the Provinces of Xinjiang and Daqing.
There will be other forces assisting the allies, but that where a majority of the Canadian forces will be fighting

OOC: Real life nations, there isn't much open right now though as a lot of the worlds either been taken over or has become a vassal state, Mongolia might be open. Also long range nuclear warheads won't win you any popularity contest, you probably want to avoid them if necessary, and for the naval troops are you invading or defending against Japan?

USSR Contractors to possibly help West in China

Postby Rushetnia » Fri Jan 03, 2014 9:57 pm

The USSR is Privatizing some of it's military industries; they have their own aircraft and own personnel and for the most part operate outside of the Jurisdiction of the Red Army and Politburo. These Companies would like to sell some older Soviet made weapons and use their cargo carrying planes and ships to support the Allied assault on China. Some are even offering "Direct" Assistance in the Chinese Theatre.

The privatized internet providers are also claiming to be able to help set up vital communications and surveillance equipment in the front lines.

So far Company estimates range from $450 Million to $10.3 Billion for the higher end companies

Besides this; The official stance of the USSR is neutral.

The GKR starts the opening offensive, calling for the ultra secret Operation Wings of Liberty into the stage. As the highly elite GKR infantry and armor divisions numbering 850,000 smash right through the PRC border defenses that are fairly weak, the ROC/Taiwan launch's Project National Glory, and the ROC army of 200,000 lands on several Chinese coastal cities in the southeast, and the Anti-communist rebels start a rebellion, the rebellions are largest at Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing and Nanjing. The total rebel force is numbered around 1,000,0000 to 3,000,000. This was because of their anger at the results of the failed culture revolution. Within the first 2 weeks, all of southern Manchuria falls to the GKR, who are backed by Manchurian rebels. Tibet declares independence and launches a rebellion that is 100,000 strong, while the Inner Mongolia and northwest china are soon ready to rebel..

The GKR tells the Canadians to attack the PRC at Shanghai to support the ROC.

Reports are that the PRC is withdrawing large numbers of troops from the Xinjiang region (not all) to defend their more major, coastal regions.
The GKR estimates show that the PRC will fall in 6 months if they refuse to surrender. Beijing will fall by the start of spring.

The thirty thousand add to there ranks another sixty thousand rebels as the Venezuelan forces assault Hainan, the plan is to give it to Taiwan. The fleet surrounds Shanghai, and a large series of riots develop in the city with revolutionary forces attacking the security forces. The F-4s deal with this by bombarding tanks that try to assault protestors, and quickly bombard an incoming force of forty thousand soldiers who were brought in to keep order.

The GKR fleet engages some PRC fleets sent to attack the protestors and Venezuelan forces, yet to the shock of the GKR, some PRC ships battle others. A PRC admiral declares his allegiance to the ROC and asks the GKR for assistance, which the GKR responds, with 35% of the former PRC fleet at the Yellow Sea under their command, the GKR smashes the PRC fleet which retreats to the Bohai Sea, where the bulk of the loyalist fleets resides. The GKR air force meanwhile supports the rebels at Beijing, yet take moderate losses.

Hainan was an easy victory as many of the few remaining soldiers on the island either surrender or join the revolutions ranks, our current force stands at around one hundred thousand. Taiwan has sent twenty thousand soldiers to the island to secure it, but the current group of one hundred thousand will march on Shanghai with a Taiwanese group of sixty thousand, Destination Day: 3 days.

The GKR supports the Venezuelan attacks with some supplies, yet it is mostly concentrated at Manchuria and Northwest China, the PRC forces in northern Manchuria make an escape to Northwest China, allowing the GKR full control of the region, yet they face stiff resistance from the far more loyal PRC forces at Northwest china, the Beijing rebellion has failed to seize the Chinese leadership but have tied down nearly 200,000 troops.

Meanwhile the Shandong province managed to defeat the PRC forces, only for a larger force to roll in and massacre the rebels. The civilian death toll is 800,000 dead.

The force reaches the island and many protestors surround the ships screaming praise and support for the liberators, the Venezuelan force then begin in mass to sing with the protestors.
The general in charge of military action in Shanghai quickly surrenders after half an hour of fighting, and many of the soldiers turn sides as well. The flags are changed from the PRC to the RoC over the capital building and forces under Venezuelan high command reaches one hundred and fifty thousand.

Canadians in China

Postby Ithartania » Fri Jan 03, 2014 10:26 pm

With The PLA forces fleeing form the Xijiping Province the Canadian Imperial Air Force begins taking out the large convoys and Artillery and armoured units start shelling away at PLA encampments in the mountains. A number of skirmishes are taking place in the many villages in the Area and the valleys have become reduced to brutal killing fields.

Canadian Forces find themselves fighting with little armoured support in the heavy terrain and most of the fighting is done at long range. Snipers have become a major issue, Canadian artillery and air support have helped level the playing field.

So far 3,451 Canadians have been killed and another 4,200 wounded.

Canadian forces assaulting along side the ROC forces have been caught up in a hellacious struggle against the well dug in PLA forces in the Cities. the cramped quarters and narrow streets of city have proven very hazardous for armoured units and with the destruction caused by airstrikes within the city, there are many Great hiding places for the PLA. The fighting is brutal and is much like that seen in Stalingrad. The fanatical PLA have even strapped themselves to explosives and jumped out of high-rises in hopes of killing friendly forces and a number of "IEDs" or improvised Explosive Devises have taken a heavy toll on our forces. MANY civilians have been killed.

Heilongjiang has become a rugged nightmare for many, the mountains are too big for armoured units, the AAs and SAMs are well dug in, and the fighters there are HARDENED. So far the only fighting there has been artillery vs artillery since moving men in the region is too difficult and using aerial units is too risky. An Air campaign against their air defences is expected in the coming days.
Overall, the PLA is on full retreat, but the material and personnel cost have been great.

The one hundred and fifty thousand begin a march up to Nanjing hoping for a victory, the revolution is believed to be at eighty thousand armed soldiers with an occasional battle, but the army is worried of an increased placement of troops that hold the rebels down. The naval fleet of Venezuela will move northward for easier bombing raids.

The GKR to Venezuela

Reports are that a force of 300,000 PRC soldiers are heading to Shanghai as we send this message, prepare yourselves.

Meanwhile, Tibet is close to ousting the PRC oppressors, who are withdrawing to the Guangzhou region to stop any ROC activities. The PRC has massacred large numbers of civilians at Chongqing, where nearly 200,000 are reported dead in the brutal massacre.

(PS, how long since the invasion has began? I want it to be one month now, but what's your suggestion?

OOC: A month is good,
IC: Venezuela has vowed the immediate movement of sixty thousand more Venezuelan soldiers into Nanjing in two weeks. The soldiers move back to Shanghai as well to design a defense, they begin training many of the revolutionaries how to use the AK-Ms and are at a current force of three hundred and thirty thousand, and ready to fight back.

Tibet is nearly liberated, they shall soon drive out the PRC

Coastal PRC is in a turmoil, Venezuela, ROC and rebels are making gains

Northern China is a struggle yet PRC expected to lose

Central China is firmly in PRC control, along with the eastern parts of the southwest and northwest regions

Operation Maple Leaf

Postby Ithartania » Fri Jan 03, 2014 10:40 pm

A total force of 40 bombers and 75 fighters departed from Canadian air satations and have begun hammering away at the well dug in fighters in the mountains provinces. The PLAAF tried to deploy fighters, but they were quickly out matched and many were shot down without too much trouble. The Air Force is using a number of deep penetration and cluster munitions to neutralize the mountainous bases and so far it seems to be a success. So far 70- 75% of their air defences have been neutralized, but We've lost 12 of our bombers and another 16 fighters were lost (only 2 in aerial combat).

To follow up the Air attacks, the Army is pushing up the mountains and taking out the Chinese forces in the less rugged valleys. Mortar attacks continue to be an issue, but many objectives have been taken and the hardened PLA force are starting to show their desperation.

548 KIA and 315 WIA

The Canadian and ROC forces are continuing to slowly push their way through the rubble of the city and are making "acceptable" progress. The PLA continue to use long range missiles and artillery which slows down our advances, but our air forces have managed to take out most of those sites and continue to successfully keep any advancing PLA from re-entering the city. We believe we could "Choke them Out" within a few days. Besides the combat objectives; we have begun the evacuation of many civilians who are stranded in the city

The three hundred thousand soldiers were met first not with guns and violence, but a young college aged man asking if any of them had heard of the riots in Shanghai, how they had been bravely pushed out. Many of the soldiers are greatly impacted by this, but most continue there march. As they reached Shanghai, bombs were dropped by Venezuelan defense and the combined coalition forces in Shanghai attack the force. The assault was very successful initially, with one general moving twenty thousand of his troops out of the conflict. The casualties are still very high.

Casualties Venezuelan:
KIA: 2,191
WIA: 3,012
MIA: 250

Casualties Taiwanese:
KIA: 6,500
WIA: Unknown

Mongolia has decided to invade china, while their entire armed forces number up to only 150,000 strong, which is fairly small for an entire nations army, their invasion was nonetheless shocking for the PRC, which had almost no major divisions near their borders with Mongolia, resulting in the PRC losing nearly 100 km before they sent an army to start combating them, where the Mongolians are pushed back by superior numbers, but the GKR is now using Mongolian air bases, and are now devastating the PRC and are linking up with the Canadians.

The GKR's main army of 500,000 strong are combating the PRC in eastern Hebei, while another 300,000 strong force is moving deeper into inner Mongolia. The GKR losses so far are 23,124 dead and 27,005 wounded. PRC losses are unknown but far higher.

Three of the remaining generals retreat there full force of an estimated one hundred thousand, and the rest surrender to the combined forces. The unfortunate issue though being casualties, as a section of the revolutionaries charged early and took the PRK by surprise but came under bomb fire. The casualties are:

Venezuelans:
KIA: 3412
WIA: 8934
MIA: 180

Taiwanese (estimated):
KIA: 9000
WIA: 30,000

Revolutionaries (estimated):
KIA: 30,000
WIA: 70,000

Canada moves to Gansu. PLA advance on Shanghai

Postby Ithartania » Fri Jan 03, 2014 11:00 pm

With their "success" in the Xinjiang Province, The Canadian Forces are moving South into the Gansu Province. Venezuelan and Korean Forces have yet to enter the area so the PLA forces are expected to be high. Rather than have another "Xinjiang-Style" conflict on their hands, the Canadian Air Force first takes what little infrastructure and air defences there are in the area. Bombers soon follow in on the attack and start bombing the other key objectives.
Canadian missiles hammer away at the PLA defences and Armoured Cavalry units use what little roads are left to quickly move throughout the area.

The Fight for the roads have been heavy. There have been numbers tank on tank and IFV vs IFV engagements; the Canadian tanks are proving effective, but some of the early Sino- Soviet designs are STILL effective. On just one road alone a group of 4 T-62s took out 7 leopards tanks, disabled another 4 and destroyed another 5 IFVs killing an additional 43 troops. Like in the north, air support still guides our advances.

In Shanghai, Canadian and ROC forces are finding themselves in dire starits. The PLA has more forces and continue to restore destroyed AA and SAM positions. just today 12 fighters were lost over shanghai and RPGs have taken out 9 of our helicopters. PLA artillery attacks are more heavier than usual and there have been more aggressive charges. The PLA have flanked some ROC and Canadian positions, but we still hold much of our territory. Reports say more PLA Tanks are on the way.

So far: 13,781 KIA and 22,341 WIA

The GKR is having a bit of difficulties fighting the PRC at Hebei, as these are far more loyal soldiers than the PRC troops in Manchuria, despite this, the GKR still makes advances, in face of a brutal opponent. Reports are that the Tibetans have gained independence and have now invaded Sichuan, Qinghai, and Yunnan, which are all PRC loyalist strongholds. The GKR suggests to the Venezuelans that they try to encircle Nanjing and the PRC force invading Shanghai, as both forces lack reserves to back their armies up.

The revolution in the south has exploded in numbers after the defense of Shanghai, Canadian attacks, and a solely revolutionary surprise capture of Guangzhou. The revolution has exploded in the southern coastal regions as they slowly begin to take both Fuzhou and Hangzhou, plus an added sixty thousand rebels to the battered forces in Shanghai and the sixty thousand Venezuelan soldiers as well. Placing the army two hundred and seventy thousand, the fleet moves northward to Nanjing once more with the army moving upwards with a force of one hundred and fifty thousand troops.
OOC: I will say you didn't attack Shanghai Ithartania, since we captured it and all, but took other capitals in the region

Operation Toronto

Postby Ithartania » Fri Jan 03, 2014 11:09 pm

For one whole week The Canadian Imperial Air Force has been conducting numerous "search and Destroy" targets in PLA controlled areas. The attacks themselves have had mixed results, but generally were Very effective. A number of Arms production facilities and "rag-tag" training bases were destroyed. Many storage bases and mass transit facilities were also attacked and the CIAF successfully took out 4 PLAAF Air Fields.

This also culminated in the CIAF obtaining another 23 "ACE" Pilots; but this success was at a sizeable cost. 64 Aircraft were lost during the operation (15 in Air to Air combat, 9 in accidents, 7 missing).

PLA casualties are expected to be "Sizeable" and their ability to effectively fight has been reduced significantly.

The Canadian Empire is Surprised that the UK hasn't deployed any forces From Hong Kong to the South

Gansu

In Gansu, the fighting continues to be brutal and after a number of "effective" attacks by the PLA, the Canadian Army finds itself in a peculiar situation. Air superiority is still in our favour and many airstrikes have been conducted, but the PLA continues to be a tenacious foe. The Canadian Forces have also discovered numerous mass graves in the area; the largest totaling 300 people, including 40 children

The forces charge Nanjing after heavy fire onto the military bases of the city, two hundred thousand PRC soldiers were there ready to attack Shanghai a second time but the air force took many of these out. Much of the PRC becomes demoralized and surrenders, with the revolutionary force adding up to be three hundred thousand. The PRC's most vocal supporters still stood ready to defend on the outskirts of the city and clashes continue currently, but casualties were lower than expected. Ten thousand Venezuelan forces are to be sent to aid the Canadian soldiers against the PLA.

The GKR launches Operations Swordfish and Turtlehead. For swordfish, all major GKR naval warships and the bulk of their available air force engaged the PRC's biggest loyalist fleet at the Bohai Sea, there, in the biggest naval battle in history, the GKR and its ROC allied ships managed to crush the bulk of the PRC fleet, nearly 70% of all PRC vessels surrendered or were destroyed, as its remnants now flee to an unknown destination, the GKR lost 20% of its fleet and the ROC lost 40% of its invasion fleet. For Turtlehead, 60,000 GKR marines land and combat the PRC garrison at Tianjin, and the GKR overrun the city within a week, and now the southern flank for the defense of Beijing has opened, Beijing is now surrounded in Operation Turtlehead's final stage where the marines and GKR soldiers destroy a PRC army to the west of Beijing and encircle it. 5 groups of PRC leaders are reported to have fled the city but Mao Zheng and about 50% of the PRC high command is at Beijing. Beijing has 800,000 defenders plus nearly 1 million PRC troops are just west of Hebei, ready to try to relieve the city from GKR's siege. The rebels are currently still fighting the PRC at Beijing and are numbering 100,000. The GKR has around 450,000 troops and 50,000 marines.

Total losses
GKR: Land forces
20,009 dead
30,230 wounded
Marines
3,440 dead
5,801 wounded

Rebels
23,390 dead
34,455 wounded

PRC
167,022 dead
200,118 wounded
