The GKR was shocked by how the soviets had defeated them so easily, but then one of their developers thought of a great idea, one that would pwn the soviets and finally give the GKR a good lead...

The all African Head Delegation in the nearby African Soviet Socialist Republics is disappointed to see its African brethren in the CAU turn so quickly to a power such as Venezuela and not seek any for of diplomatic consultation or meeting with its allies to the North, especially after it helped and offered to protect it from the French during their time of crisis. Not to mention how it neglects the progress and countless successes made in the ASSR.

President Ngouabi is willing to send a diplomatic personnel group to the capital of the ASSR if such is desired. We have reached out to all foreign powers for alliances, and the Venezuelans were the only to respond in a positive way. Perhaps this time some sort of agreement can be reached between our African brethren.

The Video Game Wars

Postby Rushetnia » Thu Jan 02, 2014 11:46 pm

The soviet Union has started a number of small and medium sized video game firms, employed by tech savvy kids ranging from 12- 18 years old and a number of older "gamer type" adults to both develop and brain storm on new ideas to beat the Koreans and win the So called "video game wars".

They concluded that within 2 months they will develop and sell the World's First "Hand- Held/ Portable" Game system called "the Play- Palm". and to expand the capabilities of the internet and increase the fun of gaming, they will develop a system called "online gaming". allowing players theoretically from all around the world to play against each other in real time.

They also plan to introduce "human motioned Controlled games" or HMCGs. A bit far fetched, these games would use human movement to play the game!

We would first like to congragulate the CAU for becoming fully democratic and support this new movement. The economic deal is to use our combined recourses to develop a Internet inside the vastness of the CAU, by combining our scientific prowess. You have the recourses, the area, and much of the people, we have rudimentary satellite technology.

If such seems unsatisfactory, you may wish to work on ethanol fuel or help in the production of solar panels. Ethanol is in many ways the last stage of the oil age, while Solar panels are expensive but the Venezuelan government sees the potential in them.

The GKR sends a letter to the soviets saying that they want this conflict as a friendly war, one that is to increase the productivity and creativity among the socialist nations. For now the GKR is impressed yet they are continuing their plans which are sure to succeed.

With all due respect to our Comrades to the West, We feel that we could better suit you in your situation, Because we know how it is to live in absolute poverty and see our brothers and sisters die and then have their bones picked at by vultures and their skin covered in flies. We know how it feels to have villages erupt into flames and cries of terrors during civil ethnic unrest and we've seen what happens when crooked and corrupt political officials take hold, and more importantly the people their actions hurt.

In the ASSR, the Soviet presence has allowed us to reform our governments and take more pride in our communities. And with the high importance the Soviets have placed in technology and aerospace, we are proud to say we have some of the worlds most brightest and rigorous academic criteria and some of the most artistically gifted students. The Soviets are kind to us; they let us run our countries, travel to their nations, and even allow our peoples to go to space with them and we even have large space ports and production facilities in our nations. And with the new "synthetic food" facilities, hunger is all but gone. We still have a ways to go, but With the Soviets we've come so far!

And note I'm not bashing on the Venezuelans, but from one African to another, I feel confident that you can trust the Soviets in assisting you.

You should also make a major note that the Venezuelans Don't ACTUALLY have the internet; its a SOVIET produced entity.

We in the Soviet Union feel that Samsung would be a GREAT purchase and that it would help expand the technologies which both the USSR and GKR posses, not to mention it would brighten many people's lives and even expand into other fields of development. We'll pay a Grand Some of $13.5 Billion dollars for all of Samsung's assets and personnel

We are sorry, but the GKR plans to have Samsung under its control, the GKR believes that while it is good for some things to merge, the Koreans in the company have this pride about race and their productivity would be crippled if they didn't work for their own country. Plus the GKR is committed to currently electronics, space and exploration, and cannot afford to expand itself into other fields until it feels it is ready.

Privitization of the internet!!!!

Postby Rushetnia » Fri Jan 03, 2014 12:26 am

Following a much heated debate which shook the political and social halls of the USSR,
The USSR has decided to let small companies gain access on the internet and it's functions and has allowed them to sell internet service to nations all around the world. The USSR will still maintain administrative control and monitor the "net" as many in the USSR and allied nations have come to call it, but the USSR will now allow Soviet Content into the West and allow Western continent into the East. To obtain the internet, a country has to just contact one of the many Independent Soviet internet providers and establish a contract for usage.

So far the largest internet providers are Contrast, Amtrak, Global Net, Red Star, and World Wide Web. Note the pricing, serviceability, coverage, speed, and security varies between services and is outside (for the most part) of the USSR governments control. Some Companies are working with the Politburo and CCCP to gain the ability to sell refurbished older satellites to expand their capabilities. Many of these companies also sell computers and provide home and television service.

Also, to the GKR
Respectable; We understand will make no further offers to purchase Samsung. Instead we will cherish the rivalry and continue our work and making the world a much more enjoyable place for children and the like!

OOC: I might have mentioned it before here, but in case I haven't, never got around to building a spy network pre-war. Plus all the major soviet nations other than Korea kicked out everyone from Latin America, it is honestly just easier to start from scratch than build a whole spy network in a group of nations that hate me now.

Russo- Venezuelan Exchange/ Middle East Effort

Postby Rushetnia » Fri Jan 03, 2014 12:51 am

Though many within the Politburo refuse to acknowledge it, the USSR has realized it has overacted to the recent change in the political atmosphere and has come to realize that the "old Cold War" is over, and that a new, much faster pace and tech driven one has developed. The Soviet Union has seen great triumphs, from the Victory in the Third World War, to the Victory of the Space Race, and the Victory in the Tech race; the Soviet Union has become the Hyper- Power it has always seek to be.

The USSR is more powerful than ever before, and realizes that with this power it needs to expand its reach by expanding the reach of others; while still maintaining its own, and that actions like those committed against Venezuela are not proper in this new world. So to reverse its actions, the USSR has stopped the 4 year sanction against Venezuela and will limit it's demands on the acquisition of its goods; even though the rest of the world was more than compliant.
Sadly, the USSR won't buy anymore Venezuelan oil, because it simply doesn't have the need for its, or any other nation's oil for that matter.

To commemorate the idea of "sharing" the USSR will expand it's technological research and development schools and studies into the Middle East and help them with developing their oil industry, and also pursuit in making it a "green zone" for the further development of clean hydrogen, solar energy, nuclear and helium based alternatives.

So far the Middle East is 62% clean and should have clean drinking water within three years. To increase foreign involvement, the USSR has also created some areas in the nations of Afghanistan and Kuwait, designated for foreign establishment.

Note, the area appears to have become very hostile towards Americans.

The USSR sells internet to Venezuela and South America

The Canadian Empire commends the USSR's efforts in the Middle East and will send Canadian Construction firms and other necessary building and development materials to the Affected Zones in Kuwait and Afghanistan.

For Obvious Security reasons we'd like to know if the locals are aggressive towards Canadians or JUST Americans?

Belgian gun designers have put a new design out, the FN P90. As of now, the technology does not exist to construct it to the ideals of the weapon.

Also, France has released the FAMAS assault rifle.

Meanwhile in Africa, Oil production has reached 1,000,000 barrels of oil every 5 days.

It is estimated to reach the same million every day within 25 years.

USSR Efforts in Middle East

Postby Rushetnia » Fri Jan 03, 2014 1:42 pm

The USSR continues to work tirelessly and closely with its newly developed allies in the Middle East and continues to clean up and help rebuild the local infrastructure. So far the REGIONAL Population is only about 140,000; but the local governments are introducing a number of programmes to help increase the population growth rate and some citizens from the Soviet Union and other parts of the world are relocating to the Middle East.

Progress in the Sates of Kuwait, Iran, and Afghanistan continues to progress steadily and with Soviet help, they plan to have their major cities completely rebuilt within 2 years. The Soviet Construction companies are starting to expand into the Arabian nation of Saudi Arabia, and despite some initial resentment, most of the Saudis are coming around.

The Soviet Energy and Science Agencies are working closely with the Arabians to help clean up the oil supply and plans are to have the first Soviet- Arabian Oil facilities come online by the beginning of next year.
The Soviet union is also planning to build a number of farmlands to help feed the area.

On the aspect of government; most of the survivors are under a "tribal" based system, but with Soviet assistance the first official governments are starting to take shape. So far they favour the USSR and hold a grudge against the West, but the Soviets will work with them on this; they did mention they would like to join the USSR, but the Politburo is debating this.

The Dominican Republic (while finding the rivalry in Asia immature) has just entered the videogame market. The technology was aquired when a technician toured the Soviet Union and tried to recreate the computers. He suceeded by the way. One of the most popular games on the market is "March to Beijing" where Mao Zedong is assasinated and the Soviets must deafeat the suceeding power-hungry dictatorship. Another one is WWIV where the player is one of six different nations: USA, USSR, China, GKR, French empire, and the UCR (United Carribean Republic). The game starts at 2000 and can end as far as 2245. Needless to say with a good defensive stratagy and/or diplomacy it can be a very long game. The industry hopes to strike a market in the US.

OOC: What are the USSR's, PRC's, GHR's, and Middle East's religious policies because everyone here seems alot nicer than usual and it was never touched yet.

The GKR launches "Galaxy at war", what the developers call a Real Time strategy game, or RTS. It is a game about a futuristic milky way galaxy where the humans who were colonists from earth fighting two other races in another part of the galaxy. This game has many stunning elements like how well balanced one race was to the 2 others, and how the story folded into gameplay. Critics called it a great computer game and it already sold 140,000 copies worldwide on the first month. The GKR and Samsung developers are now working on another project as they rake in millions of dollars from the profit.

Meanwhile the GKR rocket is now back on earth. The GKR plans to start launching satellites into outer space within 6 months and start construction of their space station within 9 months.

So far most of the survivors in the Middle East have lost their adherence to Islam. The Society in general has devolved into a tribal system, each with is own individual beliefs and customs. The only really "common belief" that they share is their hatred of the west.

The USSR is Mostly secular, but there are some theistic states that we have. The ASSR have their African beliefs, The SER is almost totally secular.

Governor General Malculm Hutchinson gazed out at the sky from his office. The Pirate King had appointed him as the governor general of the newly conquered Venezuela.
