OOC: Yep, ps, what is the current situation of Greenland and Iceland? I want to set up research bases for science

The GKR has claimed large portions of Antarctica and would like to negotiate with France on dividing Antarctica, the GKR has the biggest presence on Antarctica so far yet it is worried it could accidently enter a war with the French if they are not cautious.

OOC:
For everyone who is confused, the Franco-American empire dissolved, but alliances between the French Empire and America still exist.
France controls Nigeria, Angola, Niger, Chad, Algeria, Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Switzerland, Indonesia, New Guinea, and Morroco.

and btw, France has way more presence in Antarctica than you realize. WAY more.

IC: Thanks to the massive spy network of France, De Gaulle has been alerted that Canada may be up to somthing.

A highly elite group of Fallout Trooper special forces are positioned in the Middle East.

Meanwhile, the Shard Mk. I WMB-ICBM has entered service, and 1 is carried by every submarine.

20 Ballistic (Non-Nuclear) missiles are set aside for use against Canada in the event they attack us, or America.

Also, France offers Refined Oil at $2.60 a gallon in the world market as of today.

Ok, but can we divide our portions up officially? I like ruling my portion of Antarctica and I don't want it challenged.
PS, your oil is really expensive

Yep, that's a great idea, so want to divide it 50/50? No one else seems to care for it.

If what the Canadians are doing doesn't end in a massive nuclear war, I would like to start a summit with the United States and the French Empire, for a longstanding alliance. I would hate for us to lose the connections the empire brought to one another and I believe that we can join forces and advance all of our standings on the world stage. We represent in all, the three major super-powers, and therefore having strong alliances is a powerful way to strengthen the world and our nations.

Ok, you get that and all of West Antarctica and I get East Antarctica, to accurately see the map, my territory will be from the New Zealand Claimed area to the Australian claimed area of Antarctica in real life and everything in between, you get from Marie Byld land to the Norwegian claimed area (cause west Antarctica is slightly smaller than east Antarctica) good doing business with you.

I wish you good luck in the upcoming struggle against the penguins

Meanwhile, the GKR has established a deal with Greenland and Iceland and has gained access to building research stations there, the GKR has also a population of 90,000 settlers so far in Antarctica, and the number is expected to rise.

Extent of USSR/ USSR enhances ABM shield

Postby Rushetnia » Thu Jan 02, 2014 8:10 pm

The extent of the USSR and its satellite Republics are as followed:

-All of eastern and Western Europe except for France, Spain and Portugal
- Of Course the Soviet Union
- The African Countries of Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, and Somalia
- We also have posts on the moon, but we don't really count those.

In other news the Soviet Union has finished developing another "cutting edge asset" in space. The exact nature of the asset has yet to be known, but it is expected to be another portion of the expected 2nd space station or further expansion of the helium-3 facilities that will be coming online this year.

The Strategic Missile Forces has finished improving its missile defence grid to counter the French Shark Missile and other Western systems, which through help from a covert group monitoring its development and deployment provided valuable Intel. Some of the agents even called the missile "Pathetic" and highlighted a number of areas that could have been improved. Realizing that the French would probably alter their system, closely monitored researchers are enhancing the system for the expected French alterations.

The USSR has nothing to say about the affairs developing between the western nations

The GKR is currently trying to maintain good relations with the west so it can expand business globally, the GKR policy is...

We're socialist, but it doesn't matter what your nation's system is, we'll trade with you so we can get more money to perfect our health care.
Meanwhile, the GKR is now 10th place in the worlds strongest economy, its economic miracle has inspired lesser socialist nations to become powerful.

Would you be willing to help give the Internet to the west? We are willing to buy it for twenty billion if necessary and an a agreement to solely buy from Samsung. This agreement could help develop worldwide peace, which will help bring the GKR to the fore front of the new technological age.

Depends on Soviet permission, the soviets invented it and we have no right to give info on it (though we do make the best electronics for the internet)

So the GKR leader writes a message to the Politburo

"Some of the western countries have requested use of the internet, they offer us large amounts of money, and I believe it could benefit the socialist nations economically and we might even inspire the people of the capitalist nations to switch to socialism, as they will come to realize that socialism has far more benefits than capitalism. I believe it is time to show the capitalist countries the best political system in the world, and what it has achieved so far..."

The soviets aren't active yet so on other stuff that are non-internet

Would you be interested in buying our tvs? We have one of the best in the socialist nations and they don't cost as expensive as most nations have them, our TVs are only 80% the price of other nations tvs and WORKS WAY BETTER.

That is a fair enough decision and we hope that Russia aids us in becoming more globalized and therefore more in tune with the thoughts and opinions of the people. We also agree to buy the TVs.

In order to defend against the mass usage of Ballistic and Nuclear missiles the LAAD has decided to put one thousand and five hundred Mk. III Capoc anti-missile defense systems throughout the coast of Latin America. We shall also use these in major cities throughout Latin America.

A Great decision for your nation, the GKR is now expanding Samsung operations to Venezuela and some other African and Latin nations, and Is making large profits, and has started to become an extremely major company, the GKR has a considerable control on Samsung though and sees to it that it does not turn corrupt or ruin the GKR. Venezuela and many other nations now have the best TVs in the world

Politburo Claims "too many Chefs in Kitchen"

Postby Rushetnia » Thu Jan 02, 2014 9:12 pm

After looking at the course of Global affairs in the recent years, the politburo has made a monumental, but disheartening effort of transparency by releasing a document which reflects a troubling consensus within the Politburo.

through numerous observations and studies and the reactions and interactions between countries many high raking officials feels that the Cold War, at least for Russia is over or is in a "state of flux" where the USSR has reached a level of development exceeding that of the Western nations; allowing the USSR to sit out of many conflicts and not have to worry too much about any threats. but it also feels that with the "Alternative War", the conflict between the mass sale of Russian Hydrogen and Helium-3 resources and the "rigged" cheap gas prices of oil, more countries are surpassing the U.S. and are rising to a much higher level than expected, in fact re- arranging the players of the cold war.

The Politburo feels that the world is entering an era known as "globalization" at way too fast a pace. The Soviet marvels and successes of the Space Race Victory caused a massive Surge in technology such as robotics and ballistics and with the effective implementation of Anti- Ballistic missile Systems in the USSR, there is a new weapons race emerging, not one of "Who can I kill", but rather one of "What can I protect". Which could render them less menacing and make some countries more willing to use nukes.

Another troubling factor in the USSR political psyche is that because of advances in technology, social development, and the war to find the "ultimate" answer to oil, too many powers are rising at too fast a rate. The U.S., to many in the USSR is declining, the French are in a state of post- imperial Limbo, and Venezuela to many is on track to surpass and even challenge American global power, and with the planned reopening of the Middle East and the constant cry for "democracy" and "globalization", the USSR feels this will only increase the likely of potential future conflict.

"Alliances like the FAE Don't work, they only pro-long the inevitable!"
