Operation Fire Cracker

Postby Ithartania » Sat Jan 04, 2014 12:31 am

As the final combat action against PLA forces in China. The CIAF commits a total of 200 fighters and 90 bombers on a three week long bombing and Ground attack mission against PLA and PLAAF forces.

The First 14 days are brutal and nearly one quarter of the force are shot down while attacking their objectives.
The fighters fight desperately over the skies over Beijing and Shaanxi, and gain and then lose air superiority daily. The AA and SAM coverage is dense, the PLA use their latest SAMs; but the CIAF manage to inflict many casualties upon the PLA. The bombers take out many barracks, command posts, defencive fortifications, and even bomb marching PLA troops.

The Operation is arguably a success. The CIAF tallied 504 Aerial victories and estimate between 15,000- 35,000 PLA forces killed. Many important factories and road ways were destroyed and another 5 PLAAF air fields were taken out of commission.

The CIAF casualties stand at 107 fighters lost and 32 bombers destroyed. 134 pilots are killed, 112 are WIA, 45 are MIA and another 52 have become POWs.

The remaining Canadian Imperial Forces are expected to leave China in the next two months

The total casualties the Canadian Empire believes it inflicted is between 120,000- 330,000 PLA losses

Large numbers of PRC soldiers surrender in the north, along with another PRC leadership group as the Anhui one is destroyed while the Shanxi group surrenders, the Canadian operation has weakened the PRC and the GKR manages to liberate the north, but reports state the nearly 1 million total GKR soldiers with the remaining 2 groups of PRC leaders are heading for Sichuan, as PRC forces disengage the Venezuelan forces to head for Sichuan as well, the total force numbers 2 million.

Should the liberation forces deem it necessary/useful, the CAU is willing to send large amounts of paramilitary forces to China in order to keep the peace in the streets of major urban areas. Also, medical aide personnel are being sent to take care of liberation forces and Chinese civilians alike.

President Ngouabi was extremely pleased to see the People of the World working together towards a greater good.

Back In Canada

Postby Ithartania » Sat Jan 04, 2014 12:43 am

The Military is learning from the quagmire it suffered in China and will spend the next few years improving it's power projection capabilities. It will also use the valuable experience in China to develop more effective tanks and planes to rival those of the Soviets and Americans; it will also bolster it's fleet of combat aircraft by an additional "500- 700" aircraft. T
he Canadian Imperial Army will also get a bolster in it's number of troops; in addition to the 230,000 joining this fiscal year. The Canadian Imperial High Command is also contemplating introducing a dedicated Marine Expeditionary force to be more dedicated to larger missions outside of the C.E's natural sphere of influence.

The Government of the Canadian Empire promises that the incident in China will not reflect upon the rest of the Canadian Empire's future conquests; and that China was merely a "test-bed" for future power projection and long duration style campaigns.

The Navy has finished building its fleet of Ships:
50 Cruisers
58 Destroyers
40 corvettes
32 Frigates
55 Attack Submarines
14 ICBM Submarines
3 Aircraft Carriers

The Venezuelan forces ready to charge one of the two final provinces, and they marched triumphantly into the city of Chengdu. They discovered the city to be covered in mines and other traps, and that entire sections of the city were empty thanks to mass purges and the long battle between the local revolution and PRC soldiers.

PRC Forces accomplish Breakthrough and all forces are at Yun

Postby UED » Sat Jan 04, 2014 12:46 am

To the shock of the Coalitional forces, the 2 million strong PRC army broke through rebel lines and entered Yunnan, leaving some forces at Chengdu to combat the Venezuelan forces, but has mostly fled to Yunnan, their last remaining region where they still have popular support. There, the PRC forces basically hold full control of that region, and have declared that "They shall fight and make the imperialists suffer for every inch of land they sold". The PRC nuclear supply is found to be at Yunnan, and the PRC is apparently transferring these weapons to an unknown area. The PRC has entrenched itself, and the final battle is to come...

The war is closing, but paramilitary forces would always help keep the peace in some border areas and cities. The unfortunate thing is many cities are going to be filled with looters and we will need a strong system to stop these.

We send our navy down across the coast, a group of commandoes will also enter the region, but we refuse to send troops into such a death trap, and instead choose to crush there popular support.

As far as the GKR is concerned, the liberation forces are doing well, but we thank you for your offer. Besides, we do not want you wasting your military on foreign wars that will only end up in the death of African soldiers. But the medical aid is welcomed, and they shall receive protection from GKR forces.

Could it be possible for the PRC and ROC to negotiate for peace? Like the situation of Taiwan and PRC before this conflict? The PRC seems willing to fight to the death..

With the War in China over and the military budget for the remainder of the year set in place and the idea of "Conquering territory" out of everyone's mind for a while, the Canadian Empire, unlike the U.S., finds video games quite enjoyable and will buy Soviet and Korean Video games and will also buy internet services from the USSR.

Canada feels that it needs to be technologically adept if it is going to be a leading nation in the future. The Canadian Empire will use its oil revenues to buy the acquisition.

The GKR has approached PRC officials, they proclaim that they are willing for an armistice (like Korean war version)

They are willing to end the war if they get their independence (control over Yunnan).. All in favor?

Also, Manchuria has voted with a 56% yes on merging with the GKR by popular vote and 59% on electoral vote! Congrats to us all my northern GKR friend!

ENERGY DEBATE RISES AGAIN!

Postby Ithartania » Sat Jan 04, 2014 1:14 am

Following the Grand scale of the conflict the took place in China, international trade has seen to have suffered for those countries still dependent upon oil AND ethanol for fuel.
The sheer number of fuel guzzling vehicles like tanks, helicopters, planes, and even simple jeeps & HUMVEEs used and the number of miles they covered ADDED to regular Global consumption rates which have increased have caused Gas prices to Pass the (arguably) $2.60 high which it reached this year!

Many economist and energy scientists believe that such large scale wars could be the very thing which deplete the remaining oil reserves.

Even Ethanol production seemed to have suffered because farmers were farming too much to fuel tanks that they didn't have enough farmland to feed people! Food prices and Energy prices in general are expected to reach a new peak!

So far most economist believe gas prices will hit $4.00 and Ethanol could reach $1.95 by the middle of this year

A lot of exaggeration, most of the ethanol farms were not just taken from already existing farms, most of them were new farms, Brazil wasn't even that a major food producer anyways. Food prices haven't increased too tremendously, oil prices though I'll buy. Though we are using a lot of alternative fuels now though so the LAAD isn't suffering too much.

So far in the USSR.....

Postby Rushetnia » Sat Jan 04, 2014 2:04 am

While the world found itself in conflict again, the Politburo unveiled a slew of social freedoms to the Soviet Union and its other regional republics; a cultural revolution has taken the USSR by storm! Many in the West are shocked at the changes in the Politburo and Soviet society in general, but many throughout the USSR say it was "inevitable". The culture clash is expected to be diffused at a faster rate than ever before with the use of computers and the expansion of the internet.

USSR

The USSR will continue to improve its Various ABM systems to counter the newly arisen and expected threats which it believes will take shape in the future. Improvements are being made to the S.O.N.A.S. System.

Sino- Soviet Border
Image

300,000 Chinese nationals are storming the Soviet Border in order to gain access and citizenship in the USSR. Among them are a number of ex- Chinese Soldiers and Government officials and their families. The USSR is working on programmes to help allow these refugees into the country.

Middle East
Image Image

Soviet cleaning projects in the Middle East are progressing steadily and many Middle Easterners are stating to get more "personal" with the Soviets there. A number of Soviet Soldiers and Scientists there are marrying and having families with the local women. The population has hit 240,000 so far and a number of schools and hospitals have finished being built. Rebuilding the Oil industry is a daunting task; over 74% of the oil appears to be contaminated and the cleaning process costs are starting to seemingly outweigh the benefits; but the USSR will continue. the first official governments have been set up in Iran and Kuwait; they will vote to see if they want to join the USSR.

Europe

Image

A European- Wide Essay contest is being held to select a group of 8 children to take to space and stay on the one of the Space Stations. The USSR has loosened writing regulations and many SER states have become bastions of creativity and artistic expression. An International book society is forming and in a historical act the USSR is allowing some westerners to join.

Africa

Image
"Afro- Russians" Celecrating

Image

A African Cultural festival has taken place in the ASSR, many African cultures are sharing their beliefs and customs and celebrating their induction into the USSR. Efforts to improve access and effectiveness of medical care and education has brought the AIDs rate to a Historical 6%

Space

Natasha E. Roboshik

In space, many people are enjoying their new lives on the moon and enjoy steady employment in the Helium and Hydrogen mining and processing, and aeronautics industries. On May 26, 1976 The FIRST Human was born outside of the Earth's atmosphere. Her name is Natasha E. Roboshik. The population living on the moon has doubled to 4,250.

A new music has been created from the new "space culture". It uses a number of electronics and weird, repetitive, fast sounds and heavy bass. many kids call it "Techno". A number of "Rave" events have taken hold in the lunar communities. Like the hydrogen and helium-3 being mined; it's expected to make it's way down to Earth soon.

As new internet videos pop up, many South American nations fall to this new musical craze of techno music. Soon a small Argentinean company founded a mass video sharing company designed to show techno videos but rapidly expanding outwards into everyday videos.
