In which way have we acted “imperialistic”? We sent a humanitarian relief and peacekeeping force to the Northern parts of former Venezue. I must remind you that it was the northern council made up of Venezueans that voted in favor of Imeriatan annexation and that the power were to be turned over to the Imeriatan crown.

As that you just have to rely on our word for the protection of communistic interests we like to point out that the Martilian army have a stronger presence in the region than both the Royal guard and the Duke’s armed forces but if you don’t have any faith in your comrades fighting ability that’s your choice.

And as for the intention of leaving Tyrannian Venezue alone we must inform you that if you decide to land in any part of the former Venezue (with the nation of northern Venezue being the exception) that it is impossible as the treaty of Venezue signed by both the Kingdom of Imeriata and The Grand Fascist Empire of Old Tyrannia clearly states that all Venezuean land south of northern Venezue is now a part of The Grand Fascist Empire of Old Tyrannia.’

So we must urge you once more: turn around and leave Venezue as your mission to bring peace will only complicate an already complicated situation.

On the coast of Venezue, a large group of ships appeared in the distance. Arriving at the remains of what was once a major port, the Tyrannians flooded out of the ships, carrying weaponry, equippment and supplies to help the surviving Venuzeans. The city had been selected as the best suited to become the capital of the new nation. The Tyrannians had landed in the south, since the north was landlocked, and would now work their way northwards to re-conquer the lands controlled by Martilia. Nothing would stand in their way.

10 weeks later, and the south was secured. The Tyrannians had faced fierce resistance from die-hard communists, who had soon been executed. Most of the Venuzeans, however, were pleased to have been rescued from what seemed like certain death; the Tyrannians had established a succesfull administrative system, and provided medical aid to those suffering from radiation sickness. The Tyrannians were also still marching north to battle the Martilians, who were still supressing the surviving Martilians in the north. But then, they recieved a message from the Martilian authorities;

The military government of the Grifziek Region and the leaders of Martilia wants to make some talks with your representatives from your government to ease border tensions from both of our countries. Since that this former nation was divided into two, we would like to make up some agreements with your government in order that our tensions will end peacefully.

It was in the cover of night the two squads had made their way from the droop zone to the capital city, dressed in Martilian uniforms they quickly made their way towards their target: the remains of the capital building. At some times they had to take cover hiding from the former UN forces sometimes they simply took them out. They were about 5 minutes away when trooper Harvard picked up a strange transmission. When he had heard what it said he saved and rewired it to Sergeant Gustav and was rewarded a moment later with the metallic voice of someone who uses the headset.
“Aright men, lets double-time it” and the twenty men started running towards their target. For Harvard this was what he lived for; the sound of his heartbeats ringing in his ears, the cold night air against his exposed face, and the thrill of the adrenaline that took control of his body.

As they arrived at the ruins of the former majestic building squad two took a defensive perimeter with the efficiency that only years of experience can grant you. As the first squad proceeded in they took cover in the best positions that were available to them and waited.
Squad one proceeded inwards and split in two groups one would be used as reserve while the other one started the search for the former dictator…

'Who?' He questions again
'Imagey Nation' The General says, he hugs the commander. Unusual. Perhaps only a side effect of near death.
'What's that noise?' asks Sergei
Shadows are seen in the stairwell
'Martilians at last' Says the commander
'Wait... Tell them to wait' Orders the dictator
'Halt! Or we shoot' Shouts the commander
The General brandishes a hand radio
'Martilian command? We need some form of identification on the squad. If we shout 'red' your squad will reply 'banner'. Tell them. If they do not reply they are enemy forces, and we open fire. Thank you.
Comrade, this will not be forgotten' He places the radio in his pocket.
'RED!' He shouts, the squad wait in the eerie silence. The Martilian commisar would immediatley tell his squad, the General would see the signalman's shadow pick up the radio and the squad would reply.
'RED!' He repeated 'YOU HAVE 20 SECONDS TO RESPOND!'

[Imeriata]

“RED!” a voice rung out in the silent building, the five men stooped for a second unsure what to do this uncertainty lasted just a moment as the sergeant quietly requested that all units were to regroup at his position. The other five men simply flipped their safety to “off”
“RED, YOU HAVE 20 SECOUNDS TO RESPOUND” the same voice rung out again.
“Troopers do you have the hostiles positions?” the sergeant said quietly and were meet with only nods. Two of the troopers took forth one small stun grenade each and lobed them at the position of the hostiles. They looked away as a large bright light filled the room followed by a loud ringing sound. Immediately as if they had been trained especially for this moment the soldiers brook cover, aimed at the targets and let their silenced guns sing the song of death…

[Venezue]

'3 seconds ....2 seconds....-BANG!-' Stun grenades exploded in the derelict hallways.
Sergei and the comander grimaced with two other soldiers tried to run back to the bunker
General 'Grif' almost having a sixth sense, and having been in the bunker so long, made his way even though he was blinded and deaf.
The bunker door slid shut.
He looked at the security screens even though his eyes were watering and his head pounding.
Sergei, the commander, and one of the soldiers were lying on the floor. Dead.
The last soldier, one Private Mikharov Advhokat, was crouching behind a tall wooden crate.
The shadows slowly moved and turned into Martilian soldiers.
'TRAITORS!' The General hissed
He brandished his hand radio one again
'Martilian command? You traitors, you have betrayed the red banner, and the hammer and sickle treaty, you should be ashamed to call yourselves communists' He placed the radio in his pocket hoping for some kind of crazy explanation, spies or mind-control or something, that could have caused Martilian soldiers to shoot his.
The General look at the screens once again, the last soldier with pistol in hand and blood all over the crate was lying on the floor.
Grif punched in several commands into the console, the anthem once again began to play.
The lights on the walls of the underground facility began to flash and sirens began to wail.
'Lockdown commencing'
The General smiled, he could stay in his bunker all he liked with food, water and air. The hallways had none of these. Lockdown disables all air ducts that are not linked to the bunker.
Just before the stairwell closed, there was an almighty white flash.
All exterior cameras were down, and soon followed the interior. And the lockdown sequence and the air ducts...
The former UN had fired an EMP device.

By taking the land of a people from them, it is impossible for to deny the fact that your actions have at least aided in the loss of the freedom of many people. The reason for our recognision of Northern Venezue is only because at least it was accepted by a council made up of Venezueans. On the other hand, we will never recognise Tyrannia's claim to overnership of the rest of Venezue as lawful. As for treaty of Venezue, an imperialist agreement that tore up the sovereign integrity of Venezue, it has not recognised or signed by the SSRO. Therefore it is meaningless to us. The inaliable right of the Venezuean people to self-determination is something we are not ready to back down on.

The Soviet naval forces changed their present course and pulled back to a position further away from the adriatic and Venezue. Those tranport ships that had been sent out werre called back to their ports. Many of the transports that had been selected to transport the 1st Belorussian Front had not left their docks, so there was not too much disruption for Osean operations.

Instead, the 800,000 men of the 1st Romanian Front were readied for action and had moved closer to the border with the Grifziek Region. This time they would ask the Martilians for permission before they attempted to move into their province. In addition to this, Osean air bases in the general area were also made ready for immediade combat. In general, the Soviet forces were reinforcing their border in the the area near Venezue. Ground launched cruise missiles were often deployed by the Soviet army and this time was no different. Lastly, the troops in the area were deployed with NBC suits, something often included in combat dress, and fully sealed up in case of chemical weapon deployment. If there was to be another conflict, if would be even more bloody than the last to befall this region.

The Former UN's EMP attack had caused an entire electronic blackout in the capital, or what was left of it. The air had been cut off and the underground facility sealed. It would be roughly 30 minutes before both the fake Martilians and General Grif would suffocate. The general's only hope was that the Martilian command was outside the blast doors now and about to blow open the lockdown seal, the air ducts would then turn back on and allow the General to breathe and wait until the control for the bunker door came back online.Wether Martilia had recieved General Grif's two messages was yet, unknown. The speaker was housed in a casing that allowed it to operate even in an EMP attack.

'You fake rescuers' The General said
'Who do you work for? Why did you come to kill me?
I would much rather die a warriors death than choke in my safe room. With your last minutes tell me what do you regret? What did you achieve. All I want now is to live, and regain by wasteland of a nation. That nuclear blast was my fault, much like the Soviets at Chernobyl I was using the plant to contruct nuclear weapons, if the chamber had been sealed like it was designed there would not have been a blast. My nation would continue to live on. But now it is being carved into pieces, everybody wants a piece of Venezue. If the military guidlines book was seen by the nations, they would realise they were only here until we got back on our feet. They could not make their stay permenant. But no-one will ever find it. The only national leaders I shared it's location with are not here, and I cannot contact them. You... the only people in the history of Venezue to breach my nation.... I am telling you these things in the hope you would share them with the world, if we were to escape this hell on earth.'

The small group of soldiers watched in horror as the doors began to close when a bright flash momentarily stunned the small group of soldiers, when they regained their sight they found out to their horror that the doors had closed.
Sergeant Gustav felt like he had been given a death sentence, all he could feel was shock and disbelieve but he managed only thanks to sheer force of will bring his thoughts back on the mission.
“Private John can you locate the target?” he said with no trace left of the shock he had felt just a few moments ago and still were showing on the faces his troopers. His voice did however bring them back from their horrified thoughts and Private John managed to pick up his “heat seeker” as they were commonly referred to in the royal guard. Should in working condition be able to pinpoint any heat source that matched the configurations and heat levels of a human. This one was however not working for the moment and John simply shook his head.
“Then we have to do this the old fashioned way” and with those words the squad slowly started to advance down the hallway were they had seen the last member of the group they encountered had run.

It took them a minute or two to find the bunker entrance, it were however looked. Gustav did hoverer just give a nod to one of the privates who took forth a “universal look pick” the first time he had hear the name he had thought of a computer hacking device or an actual lock pick. It were however just a short hollow metal rod with a pair of gas tubes attached to it in the other end. Normally it would be able to cut through a metal door as a hot knife through butter as it was designed to cut into frontline bunkers, if it would be able to cut through one that was designed to hold a nuclear explosion were however a different story. “Well there is only one way to find out” he thought to himself, closed his eyes and turned away as a bright flame began its attempt to eats it way in…

Official radio broadcast from the Grand Duchy of Northern Venezue:
“It is with a heavy heart we have come to the conclusion that communism will more than likely once more take a hold over our brothers and sisters in the south; we will with your best interests in mind not take any military actions. As such would just case more bloodshed and suffering we do however officially invite all and any who would like to move from the contested territories in the south to the Grand Duchy of Northern Venezue. We do also formally bring forth our apologies to the families, friends and lovers that will as a result be separated from each other by a border.
This message is approved by his Grace Oskar Rex Caesar I Duke of Northern Venezue and King of Imeriata.“

The General was sat in the corner of the bunker, he was unsure wether Martilia or the impersinators outside had heard his speech. Religion was outlawed in Venezue and he did not pray, but instead took some comfort in knowing his nation was now being torn apart, his idea of war was to cause as much suffering as possible so the enemy give up. The air-conditioning had failed in the EMP attack and he began to sweat. He spoke into the microphone and his voice echoed through the hallways.

'Praise the Dictator, the only, the one, the true,

Bless these nations, under our one and only rule,

Defend from invaders, this land we now all love,

Save our home, from the Capitalist Iron glove,

Protect our nation, the one true nation, the dictatorship nation, the disputed nation, Venezue!

If you escape these deathly halls and I do not survive. Tell whoever is shredding my nation, this will forever be our anthem'

The people of Libertarium lined the streets. Though many wore rags, with the Tyrannians still importing clothes and other luxuries, they all looked hopefull. The Empire had resorted to propoganda to convert the populace to fascism, but fascist or not the people would no doubt have welcomed the liberators. It hadn't taken long for them to accept Communism as evil, and many were holding signs with messages such as, "Fascism is Here!" and, "To Hell With Grif!". The reason for their commotion was that today, for the first time, Emperor Gaius Romulus IV, the Emperor of Old Tyrannia, was coming to greet his new subjects for the first time. The soldiers of Old Tyrannia, extremely loyal to their great lord, had taken steps to boost the populace's view of the Emperor, who was considered a God on Earth by the traditional Tyrannian religion, Romanism (the worship of the Ancient Roman gods, though heavily influenced by native Tyrannian beliefs over the years), as well as being head of the Tyrannian Orthodox Church, the largest Christian church in the Empire. He was also an extremely powerfull ruler. Although the populace had no idea of His Imperial Majesty's personality, it was well known in the Empire that he was one of the kindest and most generous rulers the Empire had ever had.

The Governor-General, Marca Vispansius Buteo, was also eagerly awaiting the Emperor's arrival. The Emperor was coming to formally install her as Governor-General of Tyrannic Venezue. The first Emperor to be openly fascist, one would expect him to be a cruel tyrant. But the Emperor was well known for his genorosity. Marca was hoping that the Emperor would be able to win over the remaining Communists to fascism. The Emperor had also stated that he intended to personally announce that the former ruler of Venezue was alive, although Marca feared that this would result in greater support for the Communist hold outs, the Emperor had made it clear that he would keep no secrets from the people. As all this went through her mind, Marca wrote out a brief response to Osea, regarding their militarisation of Communist Venezue.

We are concerned by your lack of confidence in diplomacy, surely this conflict can be worked out without needless war? Though I assure you, I would be more than happy to go to war with your nation, I will not do so, as I do not wish to endanger the people of Tyrannic Venezue, and the Emperor has demanded that I avoid war. Let it be known, however, that any invasion of Tyrannic Venezue will not be tolerated by the Empire. May whatever gods you worship bless you.

General Grif hung Venezue flag on the wall and wrote a note below:
'To whomever may take my life, this flag is to be stained with my blood and burned with my corpse, during which Venezue's national anthem will be played. Martilia will see these demands through.'

He sat staring at the door. A flicker of light appeared on the screens, the General turned and looked. One of the cameras had turned back on, it was the one directly above the bunker door. He controled it and saw what the murders were doing. He wasn't certain his bunker would hold forever, as it had already suffered significant damage. But... Did this mean his hand radio was working?
'Martilia?' He said into hand-held device
' There are soldiers in your uniform cutting into my bunker, I need help.' He cut the radio off there. Besides, unless there were Martilian units in the capital he would be dead by the time they got to him.
He sat in front the flag and removed his overcoat, the heat was un-bearable.

11 Minutes until air depleted

[Venezue]

The General and his would-be assailants had only 5 minutes until they suffocated. However, the EMP's effects were wearing off and in a cliche moment the air vents began to circulate. The General still had the problem of the 5 armed personnel outside, he had only his pistol; to regain Venezue he would need to make public addresses and to raise the flag above the capital of Zagrab, only then would he have his nation back.

The air were growing stale and hot as the universal lock pick finally managed to cut through the thick door and with a heavy kick the hole fell into the room on the other side. As they readied their weapons and prepared to finish the job they had been sent here to do before they died. The sergeant walked slowly up to the hole in the wall and shouted “general Gri! You are under arrest by order of Marilian high command! Lay down your arms and you will not be harmed”.

[Venezue]

'On what charges?' The General said

“The charges are to be reviled to you during your trial! I give you one last chance to surrender!” the sergeant gave john a questioning gaze as he tried his “heat seeker” and he simply smiled as it revealed a human shape standing in the room. The private took aim just waiting for the order to break cover and take him down. It would be easy almost too easy…

[Venezue]

'My trial will be in front of the signatories of the hammer and sickle treaty? Then I will go with you. But first...' The General leaned over the security console and pressed a button, the blast door opened and the General emerged from the smoke with his hands on his head.
