"We'll be careful." Aurum acknowledged.

He decided to take a chance.

"So, what's next, a trip to Sky Plane for more lessons?" Aurum asked.

"If you wish," Spiridon replied.

[Warhaven]

"What, I had options, or were your plans simply that flexible?" Aurum asked, suddenly confused.

[The Floor Kippers]

"The next lesson was to be on flight combat," Spiridon said, "So anywhere with sky would suit our purposes"

[Warhaven]

And of course, Sky Plane held its own native dangers, so Spiridon and Nigel could ideally watch from the side as Aurum and Violet took on some of its aggressive inhabitants.

"I see, well let's go then." Aurum enthused.

"If you will do the honours, Nigel," Spiridon said, to which Nigel stood up and held out his CVE manipulator, opening a CVE to the sky plane.

"Follow," Spiridon said, "And stay close."

[Warhaven]

Today, small puffy clouds were everywhere, the wind was gentle, the light was strong. Aurum marveled at the total lack of a sun. Violet's Aura would shimmer, and she'd feel it change as it grew a set of wings for her. Nigel of course would also be sporting his own wings, all due to planar law.

There didn't seem to be any life about, but that was alright, something was bound to cross their path sooner or later. This meant Spiridon and Nigel had a good clear chance to explain the basics before anything exciting happened.

And that's what they did, taking the two of them through the basics of flight battle

Almost immediately afterwards, that's when the interesting happened, a Rochawk came diving for Spiridon, and a smaller AEagle dove for Aurum.

The Rochawk had its Talons out, diving at top speeds to nab the dragon, the AEagle screeched magical lightning at Aurum's direction. Violet's Aura could crush the lightning if she tried.

Violet reached out with her aura and crushed the lightning while Spiridon and Nigel engaged in an air battle with the Rochawk.

[Warhaven]

Aurum blasted the AEagle with fire, causing it to peel off and come around from another angle, shooting magical fire all its own at the pair.

The Rochawk meanwhile would battle viciously.

Again Violet reached out with her Aura and crushed the magic.

Meanwhile Spiridon made to grab the Rochawk around the neck with his jaw.

[Warhaven]

Spiridon would get his jaws around the bird's neck, the same time as Aurum skewered the AEagle with emerald spikes.

Spiridon would clamp his jaws down, severing the Bird's neck.

"Well done you two," He said, letting the body fall away.

[Warhaven]

"Thanks. Hey a building!" Aurum said, excited at seeing a flying island with a building on it. It was of course, Dragon God Temple. By chance they were near its flight path.

"The Dragon God temple," Spiridon said, "Unfortunately I think they still have that Dragons only rule."

[Warhaven]

As the Dragon God Temple approached.

"Honored Elder, why is it only Dragons can land or enter the temple?" Aurum asked Bahamut.

"Actually young one, ever since the council first came together in Excelsior's domain, that rule has been substituted for the Hospitality rule. Any may land and enter, as that does not necessarily equate to learning racial secrets." Bahamut admitted.

"Who have you told?" Aurum asked.

"So far, the four of you. Just because I'm bound by a rule doesn't mean I have to blab about it to everyone. This is a temple, not a tourist attraction." Bahamut said, as Aurum landed.

"We're learning aerial combat." Aurum said.

"I can assist with that. Spiridon and Nigel can sit on the nice cool grass, while I summon up various enemies for you and Violet to knock out. They can safely observe and critique your methods as teachers, and when they feel the need, can take flight and test you directly." Bahamut offered.

"That seems an agreeable set up," Nigel said.

"Certainly," Spiridon added.

[Warhaven]

Moments later....

Another AEagle showed up. Aurum sighed and simply dispatched it with Emerald spikes.

"good, but try not to become dependent on one ability. Otherwise you'll someday find an enemy impervious to that ability, and you subsequently at their mercy." Bahamut pointed out.

"Let's say Emerald spikes are off the attack list," Violet said.

[Warhaven]

"And that's the other end of the spectrum, don't develop so many abilities that their all lackluster at best. A few really good ones is ideal." Bahamut advised.

A vulture crackling with lightning descended, Aurum shot fire at it, and in response, it shot lightning at them both.

Violet used her aura to crush the lightning.

[Warhaven]

Aurum bit it, and was rewarded with a significant shock to his system, one that'd carry over to Violet as well. The young dragon was stunned, and suffering repeated claw attacks from the bird.

Violet would sit stunned for a moment before hauling on the reigns to pull them both away.

[Warhaven]

Aurum would whip the beast with his tail, stunning the bird as Violet lead the dragon away.
