"I can tell from the pictures. What, uh, what was the idea behind that?" Victor asked, pointing to a plan abandoned long ago.

"Oh," Victoria said, looking at the plan he was pointing at, "That was a plan for a collapsible sword, but it had too many flaws. The thinking was for ease of transport for swords on public transport."

[Warhaven]

"Dimensional Transcendence, possibly as a bit of magic, first done five centuries ago by Glimli Forge Father. Gave rise to the Blade Whip, which is both a sword and a whip at the same time." Victor said, then promptly pulled up a current sample on The Hypernet from Dwarvenholt Archives.

[The Floor Kippers]

"Oh this wasn't dimensional transcendence," Victoria said, "I actually made a telescopic sword blade, it's in the wardrobe if you're interested.
You fully extend it, and press a button on the hilt to lock it in place, however, that seriously effects the strength of the blade, making it pretty much useless in a decent fight."

[Warhaven]

"Oh, in that case yeah, wouldn't work for fighting, but would totally work for props and theater productions." Victor said, thinking of other uses.

[The Floor Kippers]

"Good point, I may revive the project for that purpose, but," Victoria said, pulling a plan from the wall, "You're here to see this."
She held up the plan, the Draconik writing accompanied by a genderless figure wrapped in what appeared to be jointless figure hugging armour.

[Warhaven]

"Well, when you tackle the impossible, you don't play around, do you? In order to achieve jointless armor, you're going to have to wait a year or two, for Ray to introduce you to Nanotech Applications. And that's minimum possibility. But, no one has Jointless armor yet." Victor said, amazed at what she was planning.

"That's not all this plan is," Victoria said, "I'm planning, with the use of magic to create a strong alloy too, that is flexible for maximum motion and when it is struck, the area of impact hardens to halt the blow. I will admit though, this is one of my long, long term plans."

[Warhaven]

"Magi-Tech, not Magic alone. Consider the detrimental effects of Magekillers and Anti-Magic Fields. Not to mention universes where Magic and all its products are undone. Magi-tech forces it to exist. Though it is incredibly lengthy, I advise reading Dr. Xos's treatise on "The Principles of Motion and its applications in Technology".

More specifically, chapter three, where he visualizes a metal like the one you mentioned, Kineticite, he called it. This metal does not exist, but I warn you Vickie, not even The Forge Fathers have been able to devise this metal, by any means. Zeta, and Xos both have been tryng, as has Draconus, amid other projects." Victor said, giving his thoughts on the subject.

"Thank you Victor," Victoria said, "I'll look that up, always helps to read the work others have done on a similar line."

She put the plan back on the wall.

"I know I may not succeed at this," She said, "But I know I'll do my best anyway."

[Warhaven]

"If you succeed, it will be legendary, and I'm not just saying that, I mean it'll literally be legendary." Victor stated enthusiastically.

"I knew it was a big plan when I started to ponder on the Matter," Victoria said, sitting on the bed, "Even bigger than Dwarf Point Alloy."

[Warhaven]

"That's what got you named Forge Sister." Victor revealed, daringly sitting next to Victoria on her bed.

[The Floor Kippers]

"Exactly," Victoria said, "And for me, that was big on it's own!"

[Warhaven]

"I tell you what, you pull this new armor off, and you would probably get the highest honor in The Dwarvenholt." Victor said, referencing the title of Forge Mother.

[The Floor Kippers]

"Now that would be something," Victoria said dreamily, "Still, it's not about the titles, no matter how grand. They're just secondary to the advancement of metallurgy.

Still, being a forge mother would be good."

[Warhaven]

"It's what we all dream of Vickie. Being a forge parent." Victor sighed.

He turned slightly to Victoria.

"I'm sure by now you know, the Beard's permanent. Entire wars have been fought because a beard's been insulted, or hacked off, or otherwise been disrespected. It's as much a part of me as my own heart, my blood, my muscles. I will however, braid it when it gets longer and keep it neat." Victor said informatively.

[The Floor Kippers]

"I respect that," Victoria said, "A beard to a dwarf is like wings to a dragon."

[Warhaven]

"I can fully understand and respect that. That's why I cracked the Glimmerock boys over the head. They insulted your pretty magnificent wings." Victor said.

"Oh that was you was it?" Victoria asked, "Thank you, you saved me a job.

So, you like my wings then?"

[Warhaven]

"They make such marvelous patterns in the light." Victor said.

Victoria smiled and stood up in front of him, with the window behind her.
She spread open her wings so that he could see them.

Victor smiled.

"Far better than that other woman." He decided.

"Other?" Victoria asked, "Oh, you mean Castiel?"

"Was that her name? I'd forgotten." Victor grinned.
