The research facility was now in full working order. A defense parameter was established utilizing the old bunkers that the troops had repaired and cleaned. A new flag replaced the old one in the lobby, which was burned in a ceremony. Yes, the research facility now looked like a newly built facility.

It seems that the increase in activities here has attracted the attention of some natives. It would appear that this facility has just gotten several new volunteers for its experiments...

Henry hit the ground with a thump. "Uh... Hi guys," He said. He pulled on his bag and looked for his glasses. Suddenly, they hit him on the face.

Dr. John seen the man land infront of him made him fall over. From looking at the mans cloths he looked like a Vekalse citizen. Dr. John then stood up.

"Hello! I am Dr.John a maverican scientist. Who are you?"

Henry hit the ground with a thump. "Uh... Hi guys," He said. He pulled on his bag and looked for his glasses. Suddenly, they hit him on the face.

Dr. John seen the man land infront of him made him fall over. From looking at the mans cloths he looked like a Vekalse citizen. Dr. John then stood up.

"Hello! I am Dr.John a maverican scientist. Who are you?"

Dr. Howard walked out of his ship, leaving the native in the hands of his guards. He went outside to see the clumsy man who had fallen from the plan. he saw the man speaking to Dr. John, so slowly spoke up. "Good afternoon. I am Dr. Howard, the man in charge of this whole operation. And who are you?"

[Vekalse]

Henry tried to comb his hair down. "I am Dr. Henry," He said struggling with his hair. He finally got it to come down. He pulled out his backpack and got notes out.

[Nanovia]

The 380 m long super tanker Northern Star plowed through the ocean, churning up massive amounts of foam in its wake. With a full displacement of 509,484 long tons, she was a very large ship and could not fit in any Nanovian docks. Instead, she was supplied by helicopters and merchant ships. Designed to carry up to 3,166,353 barrels (equal to 132,986,826 gallons), the ship had been converted into a scientific research ship by order of the government. The massive oil tanks had been torn out to make room for laboratories, medical equipment storage, and other rooms. Though it was known in the media and to the public as a medical aid ship, it actually served a far more sinister and secret purpose: conducting medical and genetic experiments on test subjects.

Medical ward 034, on board the Northern Star
Dr. Andrew Sablin peered down at the man strapped to operating table. One of the many Nanovian convicts originally sentenced to death row, they had all be selected to take part in "scientific research for the greater good" instead of heading toward the firing squad. Even cold blooded killers seem to beg for mercy as the man on the operating table stared into Dr. Sablin's eyes with a pleading look. Without showing any emotion, the doctor took out a needle and thrusted it into the mans shoulder, pressing down on the injector. The man started screaming on top of his lungs, shook violently, and then passed out while and foaming at the mouth. Sablin was about to test another serum when the overhead intercom blared to life.

"Andrew Sablin, please report to the helicopter pad. I repeat, Andrew Sablin, report to the helicopter pad."

Looks liked we've arrived, Sablin thought to himself.

30 minutes later

The five Mi-24 helicopter transport/gunships arrived and kicked up dust as they landed. The doors opened, and Sablin walked out along with nine other scientists and 25 guards. He thought of the 5,400 medical personal back on board the ship, waiting to seem what he brought back.

"Well hello everyone!" Sablin said cheerfully.

[Vekalse]

Dr. Henry smiled. " Hello," He said. He trashed noticed his hair was messed up again. He threw the comb down and left it as it was.

[Rhodevus]

"Hello Dr. Henry, follow me. A scientist just landed." they walked towards the Nanovian helicopter. When Dr. Howard saw the scientist exit, he said, "Hello. I am Dr. Howard. The man in charge here. I do want to let you know that since these natives are quite primitive, we should not allow them near any form of technology."

A single AV-305 flew overhead, out to sea, with a large black shipping container. It was flying low enough to the ground that the untrained eye could see the red biohazard symbols on the container.

In the distance the silhouette of a vessel could be seen. It was fairly obvious that the helicopter was heading to the vessel. This sight, paired with the feeling that The Dictatorship was doing something, caused many to be curious and drove others to a certain uneasiness. After about thirty minutes another silhouette appear in the distance and seemed to be nearing the island, however, slowly...

Henry watched the helicopter. " I rode here in a crowded plane. You got to ride here in a luxurious helicopter," Henry questioned out loud. He laughed. " I didn't have the first class. Next time I'll make sure to move up to Spiders and Vekalsen Snake Heads," He laughed.

[Nanovia]

"Hello Dr. Henry, follow me. A scientist just landed." they walked towards the Nanovian helicopter. When Dr. Howard saw the scientist exit, he said, "Hello. I am Dr. Howard. The man in charge here. I do want to let you know that since these natives are quite primitive, we should not allow them near any form of technology."

"Don't worry. Say, how healthy are these natives? We could try and take them aboard our medical ship for tests analysis. Their not showing any signs of diseases are they?" Sablin asked.

Turning to Dr. Henry, he chuckled and replied "Well, if sharing the passenger compartment with 7 other smelly soldiers is what you call luxurious, then you can switch with me."

[Vekalse]

Henry laughed. "It isn't much better in my plane," He said. He got out his sketch pad and drew the mountains. He handed it to them. "In Vekalse mountains are a sign of peace," He said.

"In The Dictatorship we use mountains for combat training and weapons testing." Lieutenant Goemer spoke as he approached. "And if you think sharing a seven troops in a troop compartment is bad, try twenty five." He then held out his hand toward the man from Nanovia, "I'm Lieutenant Goemer. I'm in command of the P.O.D. military attachment to Doctor Howard's research excursion. I was assigned to protect foreign researchers as a tertiary goal. That means that while you're here I offer our protection."

"Hello Dr. Henry, follow me. A scientist just landed." they walked towards the Nanovian helicopter. When Dr. Howard saw the scientist exit, he said, "Hello. I am Dr. Howard. The man in charge here. Dr. Howard tsked at Dr. Sablin. "We do not allow the movement of any natives around the island to other facilities. After the recent incident." He turned to look at the POD soldier. "And in a few days, the Rhodeve island satellite will be in place, and we will be able to see everything that will happen on this island. Be it Layan movements and even their heart rates. It is quite an exquisite peace of machinery. But yes, it will help to maintain the locations and numbers of all the natives around the island, even the parts that are at the moment undiscovered and covered with large forests."

Lieutenant Goemer looked at Doctor Howard with an entirely serious expression, "if you watch an insect too closely you will kill it, it will flee, or it will attack. Don't watch your ants too closely Doctor, you may discover a truth you wish you hadn't." With that metaphor being stated, Lieutenant Goemer walked away...

Henry took the funny look off of his face. "What was that about," Henry said. He finally got out his pic axe and hit the ground. " This piece of-" Henry stopped himself. He then got a huge drill out of his back pack. " Can we try to find some minerals," Henry asked.

Dr. Howard gave Henry a strange look. "uhh, sure, but we already tested that there are very few minerals, which is why they were not able to advance technologically. So, if everyone, please set up a small scientific base near the Rhodevus Science Vessel, then you can begin your research. Just make sure that everything is open to all members of the science community as this is a joint project."

[Nanovia]

"Well, if the research facilities have to be open to everyone, I guess that means allowing you all on-board the Northern Star…” Dr. Sablin said uncomfortably while looking through a spyglass toward the Nanovian Science Vessel. The massive behemoth was moving around the coastline slowly maneuvering in circles. Sablin could make out crew members and scientists walking on the deck. He saw them throw a dead corpse overboard-was it twitching a little bit? Looking back toward his team, he gave the order for supplies to be unloaded. The so called Nanovian "research camp" was just a couple of tents, food supplies, and other necessities. The real research was being done on the ship.

Henry nodded. "Okay," he said. He called a unit in, and they put up a tent that had a bG a workbench and food.

Everything was normal, by P.O.D.'s standards of the term.

Three men were sitting in a forward defense bunker, watching the woods carefully and sharing a conversation from time to time.

They all began laughing at a joke when one of them spotted a native and mounted the heavy machine gun in window slot. "Stop there and turn back!" He shouted in plain english, failing to realize that the natives didn't speak english. He repeated the command while the native stood there, silently looking for the voice in obvious fear. After repeating the command a third time, the native began running in a blind panic directly for the hidden bunker. As a result, the man on the HMG fired three rounds into the native's chest. While the one stood at the HMG and scanned the woods for others, the other two men walked out to retrieve the body, assault rifles at the ready...

IC:

The three shots from the HMG could be heard by the researchers, sounding like twigs snapping under someone's feet, but different in the fact that each snapping sound was precisely timed after the others...

[Rhodevus]

Dr. Howard counted along. "1..2..3.." each twig snap was timed perfectly with the others. This could not be people walking over the forest leaves that surrounded the research centers. This was happening farther away. He picked up his phone. "Commander, I knew from the start, we need some more soldiers protecting this location, there are too many... foreigners here."

[Vekalse]

Henry scowled. " That wasn't nice," He murmured.

OOC; You know, Henry is not near howad at the moment... and foreigners is a generalized term in Rhodevus

He has super hearing. To call someone a foreigner in Vekalse is considered, extremely rude.

Lieutenant Goemer entered Dr. Howard's office with two other P.O.D. soldiers, each with an SQ-45R. He offered a quick salute to put the man more at ease before speaking. "Doctor Howard sir, the native I brought you earlier has been deemed a confirmed national security threat and in turn, a threat to everyone on this island. I did not make the decision to do this, I assure you, but I have been ordered to execute this man. I assure you his death will be painless and instant. I have chosen the method of execution to be so. I now request that you hand him over for the execution."
