[Rhodevus]

A Rhodeve Science Exploration Unit traveled east, past POD and even past the Sunahara desert. The mission assigned to them was to investigate volcanic activity in the area and test for any potential fractures in the Earth's core that could destabilize and affect the citizens of both Rhodevus and her allies. The head of the operation of Dr. James Howard. He is a PhD in both geological anomalies and Infant-Species Biology. His team of 20 scientists and 5 soldiers set up shop on a small island (26). There they began setting up advanced computer softwares, creating a small base that would later expand to become a research center for all of Sunalaya's science community.

By happy mistake, they were interrupted by a large rainstorm. The equipment was safely secured, and the group headed farther inland to find a suitable spot to set up camp. They stumbled upon a small seemingly ancient community. Building were constructed out of both stone and wood. They looked around and realized that this settlement was only a few years old. They entered a larger building to find humans living in them.

At first, both groups were taken by surprise, but they were able to calm down and study each other. Dr. Howard hypothesized that these humans lived on this island and around Sunalaya long before most other nations. He predicts that these humans are the first aboriginals of Sunalaya, where all other nations originated. In his message to Rhodeve command back in Kingstown,

"I believe that these humans, which I shall nickname Layans are the first humans of this region. Tens of thousands of years ago, their ancestors must have traveled island by island until finally reaching modern day POD and later the rest of the countries. As time went on, they lost connection with their homeland and they were forgotten. So while the nations formed, these Layans must have lived their normal lives."


The science community is now being asked to send some of its own researchers to help learn more about these people. their home, now known as Laya will be very strictly watched by Rhodeve peace keepers to make sure violence does not affect these people. Also, minimal scientific equipment will be allowed, as we do not want to affect their society too much.

The island of Laya is fairly small, yet mountainous.The most Western side is a sandy beach and farthest west is a populated by large snow covered mountains. The center of the island is a large nearly impenetrable forest, where the Layans live. The island is populated by deer, rabbits, many types of birds, insect and spiders, snakes and small mammals.

Head Scientist Mehrud Ecqsari HaLevi, Is already far into Knowing the history of these people by connecting the History of the Yaramaquese People and the Layans. Here is a direct quote of what he said.
" According to sources, the Yaramaquese Government have several tablets with carvings on them. the tablets range from 3,700 to 11,000 years old. They say 92% of the tablets from the time period of around 4,000 - 3,000 years ago belong to the Yaramaquese Tribal Origins since they are written in an extremely primitive form of their language. The the they have in total only make up 20% of this period. Everything before this time period makes up 80% of the tablets they have. Everything before around 4,000 years ago does not belong to the Yaramaquese and there are documentations of "Other peoples that the Yaramaquese called the Le-Yonim according to the ancient sources. The Oldest Tablet is 11,344 years old according to Carbon Dating. Several Linguists Studied the Language of the Tablets and the Modern Language of the Layans today. After 5 days of study, We recieved a full translation of the Tablet saying, "We have just entered a new land, seeing large rolling plains that we will call Home. This land will be called Land of the Laya and from were there Tablet stands, Will be the beginning of our civilization" The Tablet was found In the North-Central mainland Coast of Laya (Spot 26). The Tablets were found in paths, . The farther away from this large 11,000 year old tablet the Younger. This Proves that the Layans were the first people in Sunalaya. Even according to the Tablets Written in Ancient Sukraitian, Mention an already civilized people when the Yaramaquese arrived in the region of Sunalaya 3,700 years ago. The Layans probably came fro their homeland by boat since the Oldest tablet was found underground on the beach. We will continue studying the History of the Layans until we get a full clear picture of their history proving that they were the first to enter the Land of Sunalaya"

The CG-313 continued in its patrol before later landing on the designated vessel. After landing the men walked down the ramp and began conversing among themselves while the officer in command went with another soldier to find Doctor Howard.

Dr. Howard was surrounded by scientists all taking notes on his findings. "Building B 2 is constructed out of a marble-like stone, presumably quartz. It is rowed in a brick formation and implanted with copper bolts, suggesting that the Layans have no way of creating bronze allowing them to progress farther down the Scientific spectrum into the Iron age..." Howard noticed the POD men approaching. "We will continue this in 30."

He walked up to the officer, "Hello, Sirs. Welcome to Laya."

I was tasked with discovering the origen of these 'Layans' and eliminating any possible threats to The Dictatorship or these foreign scientists. Now, how much contact have you had with these people? Have they communicated with you?"

I was tasked with discovering the origen of these 'Layans' and eliminating any possible threats to The Dictatorship or these foreign scientists. Now, how much contact have you had with these people? Have they communicated with you?"

Howard chuckled. "These Layans pose no threat to POD or any scientists at the moment. They have a primitive language, which seems liked an early version of Native Rhodevan and a few other Aboriginal languages from around Sunalaya. Most scientists are not allowed near the Layan Home centers. So only me and the head researchers of other nations are allowed, which happens to also include you on that list. I do warn, that they happen to be fast learners. Already from one visit, their clothing style has changed to add different colours and styles that resemble the coat I had worn when I met them... It is quite fascinating."

"Think what you may. I would like to inform you, as a courtesy, that I'm taking some of my men with me. We'll be back after a short patrol run. If you can keep me informed, I would appreciate it." With that the lieutenant and his escort saluted and left for the helicopter.

As the Lieutenant Goemer approached the men assembled into a straight line and stood at attention to receive their orders. After some instructions from the lieutenant, five of the men remained on station as the rest boarded the helicopter with Lieutenant Goemer. After a few moments the CG-313 lifted toward the center of the island...

[The Dictatorship POD]

After several minutes in flight, the same familiar radar signature was received. On approach, the CG-313 landed near the object they were receiving on rader, a T-38 nuclear device which was firmly in the ground and obviously failed to detonate.

After securing the landing zone, two soldiers were left to protect the helicopter while the rest went further inland. They continued for about a mile before they found what the Lieutenant was looking for. What was before them was an abandoned research facility, one abandoned and forgotten by The Dictatorship. This was the true reason for P.O.D's involvement, and the reason for the T-38 which was found in the forest nearby.

Lieutenant Goemer called out on his personal radio, "General, we're here..."
