After the main force found burned debris and corpses as they approached the city, they sent recon teams consisting mainly of KNP guardsmen in Warthogs further along in order to point out locations where arson was taking place.

C: We're gonna make these bastards pay for what they've done here, mark my words.
Sergeant: Yeah, and with all of this support from the Chinese and Argent, we'll take New Hope back in a couple-
C: Hold that thought...Stop the warthog.

As the warthog convoy came to a stop Clark looked with his optical display at the gate to an apartment complex. He could see armed men pulling old men, women, children, and others out of there and attempting to not only kidnap the women, but execute the men as well...

C: Those sons of a bitch! Alright I want you four, *gestures to Sniper team* to set up in that building over there across the way. The rest of us will wait for the signal from them.
Soldiers: Understood sir.

After about 4 minutes the Sniper team was in position across from the Apartments...

Snipers: In position, we have sights on all targets poised at Civilians.
C: Alright, open fire!

As Clark heard shots ring out he signaled the entire convoy to speed ahead and open fire on all enemy targets...

The first shot missed and alerted the enemy. They start marching toward the group's location. A sniper takes out one of Moreno's soldiers on the second shot. A fire-fight bursts out against 14 men. Usalley these guys are harmless but they are well trained in their rifles. The battle lasts for 6 minutes until the surrounding troops are dead with a casualty of 2 Konstantinyians. The men start to chant in victory but then suddenly their surrounded by 22 of Moreno's men out of nowhere and 2 gunships show up a few minutes later.

Seargent: We're in trouble.

The enemy soldiers escort them to a POW camp by a captured arms factory for hard labor.

OOC: I did see Saving Private Ryan, but you still can't dictate my lossess. Nevertheless, KNP Guardsmen are known for not surrendering to the enemy...

IC: As the remaining 10 men converge on the apartment complex they hear gunships approaching in the distance.

C: Shit, everyone get inside!

The guardsmen dragged their fellow comrades inside the complex as Clark radioed headquarters...

C: This is recon unit Phoenix, we're requesting immediate air support at the following location. There are two enemy gunships approaching in the distance and we are ill equipped to handle them.
Comms: Roger That, 2 Assault Pelicans are en route to your position right now. ETA:11 minutes.

As comms disconnected one of the snipers pointed out of one of the windows.

Sniper: Looks like we have company sir.

As Clark looked out onto the street he saw a contingent of enemy troops heading straight for them. Knowing this could be their last stand Clark removed his helmet and addressed his men.

C: We have 11 minutes left until we get reinforcements from HQ. We don't have a chance in hell of defeating them conventionally so we'll have to improvise... I want all of you to spread out within the building and hide. Should the opportunity arise, attack any of the enemy you encounter. Do I make myself clear?
KNP Guardsmen: Yes sir.
C: Alright, now go before they see you.

Within moments, they were hidden throughout the building. Lying in wait for their "prey".

W: Well I think it's about time we go out and celebrate this new promotion!

Wright led Xu Min out of the garden towards where they were dropped off only to find a KNP Officer standing by the car while holding an assault rifle in his hands. Wright looked puzzled as to why there was an officer here instead of the usual rank and file guardsmen. Then a thought occurred to him, "What if the Praeceptor was just toying with me?" Was he about to get arrested by this officer? But as he approached him a familiar voice greeted him instead...

Jackson: It's good to see you again sir.
W: Jackson? Is that you?
J: In the flesh. And might I say, congratulations on your promotion Mr. Wright.
W: Thanks, but why are you here?
J: Well after they debriefed me they offered a more permanent bodyguard position after you were instated as the Head of Attorney Affairs. And how could I refuse such an offer.
W: Wow, that's great Jackson. That must've been a real relief for your wife when you got the job huh?
J: Well I haven't told her yet. I've been trying to keep it a surprise for when I get home.
W: Really...So, shall we get going now?
J: But of course sir.

Jackson opened the door to the car as he gestured for both Wright and Xu Min to enter the car...

"Congratulations Mr Jackson. It an honor to be upgraded to an officer. You look sharp in your uniform." Xu Min gives him a wink before entering the car.

With Wright in the car, "Now where are we off to Attorney Wright?"

The driver of the car looks back expectantly to Mr. Wright...

D: Where to sir?

Wright pondered for a moment as to where they should head first, scratching his head as he did so...

W: Hmm...You know what, take us to Jepsen Square.
D: Right away sir.

The car pulled around the Capitol building when a crowd of people simultaneously rush around the car...

Protester 1: You godforsaken devils!
Protester 2: How does it feel to persecute your own people!?
Protester 3: *Gestures towards Xu Min* Look! Now their getting help from the Chinks!

Jackson pulls out his sidearm and points it toward one of the protesters...

J: I'm giving you 'till the count of 5 to move the fuck away from the vehicle!

Though some of the protesters move away more of them seem to get agitated more by this command as they begin to bang on the sides of the car and begin to crack the windows...

Xu Min was shocked by the sudden surrounding of the vehicle by the protesters. "What is the meaning of this Mr Wright? What is going on?" She defiantly looking at the protesters around them mustering the courage that she can. She is quite offended at the use of the racial slur against her, "How dare you? What educated person still uses such nasty words?" She tries to say in protest to the offensive protester.

Xu Min however shirks away and close up to Wright when the protesters bang on the glass and crack it. "Why are they doing this?"

Wright covers Xu Min in his arms, fully expecting the glass to shatter soon...

J: These damn religious nuts have been protesting the Praeceptor's decision to enact order 77 for a long time now!

Before the glass shatters a tear gas canister hits one of the protesters, causing her to scream over the rabble. As the protester looked off to the side to see who shot the canister rubber bullets begin to rip into the crowd, causing them to flee as Police Warthogs circle around the rioters.

Seizing the opportunity, the driver hits the gas pedal and rushes around all the riot police heading for the capitol grounds, eventually stopping once they arrive at a secure street. The scene at the capitol looking hellish as the pink flora was stained with the blood of the protesters...

Xu Min keeps hold of Mr Wright's arms during the whole terrible event, but keeps herself tall. Attempting to muster courage and act the part of a representative of the Imperial Court.

When they are finally away from the crowds she relaxes her stiff back and slouches into the car seat against Wright.

"Order 77? Isn't that Praeceptor Williams attempt to curb the religious groups in your country? I did not think you would have such violent reactions from the common people." Xu Min was finally able to utter after a few moments of silence.

Jackson shakes his head putting his hand to his forehead (though he still has his helmet on)...

J: The protesters have never been this violent before. For the most part they just boycotted government offices and went on "Holy Walks" around the city once in a while. I have no idea as to what could possibly cause them to act this way.

Then Jackson raises his head in revelation...

J: This might have something to do with that broadcast from the "Prophet"...

An uneasy silence falls over the car...

W: Well, It appears that the rioters were waiting for the praeceptor. That being the case I believe that we're in no danger of being followed. Even so, did you still want to go see the festival?

Wright directs the question to Xu Min with as much of a carefree expression as he can muster. Though he still shows some signs of worry in his tone of voice...

Xu Min considered Wright's word into consideration for a moment. She was nervous first. but she felt safe with Wright and Mr Jackson near her, "I think a festival would lighten the mood a bit." She nodded with a smile the best she could muster.

Clark: *Turns on communications* Is there anyone else on this frequency?

W: Yes, I believe it would be best if we moved as far away from the capitol building as possible.
D: Of course sir, I'll drop the three of you off at the square while I go get this damage repaired.

And with that the transport began moving down the narrow street. Strangely enough, despite the fact that the city for the most part was technologically advanced, some districts still looked outdated compared to the sprawling metropolis around the center of the city. The change became quite apparent as the transport made its way onto the main boulevard connected to Jespen Square...

Clark woke up, he found himself in some kind of tent. Right next to him was the seargent.

C: What happened.

S: When the soldiers captured you they knocked you out. You've been asleep for four days.

Clark had no idea what to make of this.

Guard with a Spanish accent: Wake up! Wake up! Everyone get back to work! Back to work!

Clark and several other men were marched to a nearby arms factory. Clark quickly realized that he was slave labor. He hated the fact that the enemy was using his nation's factories to destroy it. He couldn't act at all however because guards were everywhere. Two days have past with bitter work. The seargent was bringing in some fresh ore when he overheard some of the guards talking.

G1: The war is going badly.

G2: I know, eversince those yellows entered the fray we've been out gunned. Its not fair at all! We're using sticks against rockets.

G1: I heard that our entire fleet has only a handfull of vessals remaining. There is no way we could win.

G2: I also noticed that both the Konstantinye ground forces and the yellow recons are getting closer to finding us. When that happens it's Nuremburg.

G1: We can't let that happen. Give the order that all prisoners are to be killed in the morning.

G2: Yes commander.

The seargent was shocked to hear this and ran to tell Clark. When he found him he was eating some thick, rough, yet slimy soup. It was most likly leftover kitchen grease.

S: Clark! Clark!

C: What is it?

S: I just heard. Our men are getting closer to finding this God-forsaken place.

C: Well thats great.

S: Not really. I just heard that everyone is to be dead in the morning.

Clark was shocked to hear this. He went back to think for a few moments. After a few minutes Clark got an idea.

S: We can't let that happen.

C: I have a plan.

Xu Min looked at the stark difference between the old and new part of the city as they drove their way through. "It reminds me of cities in Sheng. The difference between the old narrow streets that are several hundreds of years old. Then the new modern areas that shine with new paint, metals, glass, and stone."

She looked at the questioning face of Wright, "I'm sorry what? Oh! Yes, I'm fine. I've seen my fare share of violence. The province I am from has seen a lot of turmoil over the years. The Imperial Government clashes with the religious groups there as well, most often the Muslims. It just a little unsettling and unfortunate."

Driver: I suppose you still want to go to Jespen Square?
W: Yes, I believe it would be best if we moved as far away from the capitol building as possible.
D: Of course sir, I'll drop the three of you off at the square while I go get this damage repaired.

And with that the transport began moving down the narrow street. Strangely enough, despite the fact that the city for the most part was technologically advanced, some districts still looked outdated compared to the sprawling metropolis around the center of the city. The change became quite apparent as the transport made its way onto the main boulevard connected to Jespen Square...

W: Are you OK?

Wright asked Xu Min as the transport continued down the near empty road with Mag Lev monorails zooming past them over head...

Wright nods his head as he listens to Xu Min...

W: Yeah...I wonder why these religious groups are so opposed to these laws. In all honesty, these laws are for their own protection. Aren't places of worship meant to be a peaceful place? I just don't understand why so many contradict their own religious doctrine in order to get their political views out...

Wright looks out of the cracked car window at a couple walking towards the festival, holding their daughter's hands and swinging her as they merrily went on their way...

W: Perhaps this is the work of a more menacing threat...Nevertheless we shouldn't talk of such things on a day such as this should we?

Wright gives Xu Min a sincere smile after he gives Xu Min a fleeting kiss...

The kiss tingled Xu Min's skin and she felt a warm sensation roll over her body. It made her smile to feel the small bit of affection. "No we shouldn't. Not today of all days. Let's try and enjoy." Min said looking into Wright's eyes and smiling. Then taking and holding Wright's hand.

Soon enough the car rolled to a stop outside of Jespen Square which was already sprawling with festival rides, game shows, etc..

Driver: Now you three go and have a good time now! Enjoy yourselves, I'll be back in about 2 hours, 3 at the most.
W: Thanks for the ride...I don't believe I ever caught your name Mr?
Abiodun: My name is Abiodun Adisa. But you can just call me Abe.
W: *Shakes the driver's hand* Its a pleasure to meet you Abe. We'll meet you here in a couple of hours?
A: Of course sir.

The three of them departed the transport as Abe drove off in the direction of an auto shop. The music coming over the loudspeakers washed over them as they looked upon all of the food stands, foreign wares, game stalls, etc...

W: So... Where to first?

OOC: Just pretend the lyrics are "Konstantinye" soul. XD

Min felt her stomach growl. "You know. I haven't had anything to eat in a little bit. And I've yet to try any Konstantinian food."

W: Great! I know just the place.

Wright takes Xu Min's hand and leads her down one of the many rows of Food Stands, the smell of many different cultures coming together all at once. The smell of raw fish coming from a japanese food stand, Fried bread coming from a Native American stall. There were even a few chinese stalls in the mix. But as the smell of cooked lamb began to fill the air around them Wright stopped in front of what appear to be a turkish food stand...

Cashier: Guten Tag Herr Wright! Wie ghets? (Good day Mr. Wright! How are you?)
Wright: Gut, Danke. Und du? (Good, thank you. And you?)
C: Sehr gut. Was würden die beiden von Ihnen mögen heute? (Very good. What would the two of you like today?)
W: Ich Mochte zwei Doner Kebap bitte. (I would like 2 Doner Kebaps please.)
C: Natrulich mein herr. (Of course sir.)

The cashier relayed the order to the cook who immediately cut off a couple slices of lamb from a rotating cooker and assembled the sandwich with ease. After Wright paid the cashier the two of them with Jackson following a little ways behind made their way to a picnic table. Wright could see Xu Min was struggling to figure out how to eat the sandwich...

W: Now before you go at it, make sure you hold it like a sandwich, NOT a taco.

Wright says teasingly with a smile, remembering all to well how many of his friends had spilt the contents of their sandwich on to their plates attempting to eat it in such a way...

Xu Min was amazed by the diversity of the wood, much of which she has never seen. "Wow. I've never such foods. Konstantinye has so much diversity." She took in several deep inhales of the air. "Ah, it smells so delicious. I can even smell a little Chinese."

When they arrived to the kebab stand, Xu Min couldn't help to lick her lips smelling the delicious lamb. When she took the doner kebab Min was a little bewildered by its size. Hearing Wright try to explain the proper way to eat it, "I don't even know what a taco is, but a sandwich I can understand."

Wright couldn't help but laugh when he heard that she hadn't heard of tacos...

W: You seriously haven't heard of tacos?

Min was a little embaressed because of her ignorance, "Well despite the great size of the Empire and the number of different cultures that exist in its borders, when you live in the homeland(mainland china) you are not exposed to that much outside of Chinese culture."

Wright smiles warmly...

W: Well you'll be exposed to A LOT of different cultures in Konstantinye.

Wright finished the last of his Doner with gusto. Somewhat surprised by his own hunger...

W: Well, what shall we do next Miss Xu?

Xu Min savored every bite of the lamb doner that she could. It was a tough temptation to not to try to gobble it in one bite. Delicately wiping her face from any mess she took a moment to consider her options. "I think our food needs to settle a little before we play some fun games. Are there any parades, shows, or short plays happening?"

Wright leaned back in his bench chair, staring up into the sky in deep thought...

W: Well there's the KNP Guardsmen parade that's happening in about 10 minutes over on the boulevard we came from, there's the concert happening around 6:30 commemorating this holiday as well as our nation's rich history. And then of course there's the many historically motivated games and attractions around the park. Did you want to walk around and see what else the park has to offer, or did you want to go catch the parade before it starts?

"Oh, let's try to catch the parade. I love military parades. They swell a people's heart with pride and courage." She said quite enthusiastically. "Parades in Sheng are always full of pomp and jubilee. Hearing hundreds of men in their full uniforms march down the streets always makes my heart skip. Something about men in uniforms." She giggles to herself.

Wright chuckles at the comment about men in uniform...

W: Really? If that's the case I should've stopped by my place to put on my old Regular Uniform.

He looks down at his watch to find that they now have 7 minutes to make it to the Parade...

W: Crap, we only have 7 minutes to make it to the parade. *Tosses Kebap wrapper into nearby trash can* Shall we?

Before Xu Min could even respond, Wright is already leading her towards the Parade by her hand. Within a couple of minutes they had arrived at the Boulevard, which had changed drastically from when they were there 20 minutes ago. There were now news vans parked up and down the Boulevard, hoping to nab a good spot to cover the parade from. Guard railings now lined both sides of the road leading to the park as people crowded to the very edge to catch a glimpse of the Guardsmen. Luckily for the three of them, not many people were crowded near the edge of the park since it was quite a walk for most people (themselves included). With less than a minute to spare Wright says...

W: I think you'll find that Konstantinye's military parades are nothing like any other military parades you've ever experienced.

And with that, a live recording of the Konstantina National Orchestra began playing from the loudspeakers as the KNP Guardsmen rounded a corner from one of the side streets. At about 32 seconds in to the song the Guardsmen simultaneously broke out into a routine of sorts. The soldiers began to twirl their ceremonial swords in a way that seemed to defy gravity as they tossed them several feet in the air, almost hitting some of them square in the face. All the while their march still synchronized with the drumbeats of the song as they made their way past the park and down the road...
