Yarn Expeditionary Fleet: Unexplored Star System

The galaxy was cracking and the Thralldom was wasting away in it's cold war with the rest of it. Things were moving slowly, to slowy for the Inner circle to be pleased. It was for this reason an expeditionary fleet had been sent out to scout as well as colonize new worlds. It was a balanced force, consisting of transports, warships and scouts. The dark meteorite finish of the vessels gleamed dimly off the starlight in space as the ship moved through a asteroid infested star system.

Scouts were then deployed to move deeper without putting the rest of the fleet at to much risk. So far they had discovered nothing of great importance. Though they were interested to discover the two stars in the center of the system dancing with each other as there worlds orbited them from afar. One of the thirteen worlds in this system appeared habitable and that was promising. Upon further investigation it was discovered that one of the worlds was a hot and arid world with only a few patches of water dotting it's landscape, but no other information could be discerned without a more thorough search was conducted.

For now the expeditionary fleet hung it's head over this primitive, arid world. It's fleet manifest floated on a holographic display in front of the commander of the fleet. Zerus stared at it making sure to keep track of his assets. He was new to this position and it was a great honor for him to have taken it at the request of the Inner Circle. Perhaps they saw something special in him. It didn't matter their intentions however, he was here now.

" Let's see..." He thought as he bent over looking at the manifest
A data sheet flowed by his eyes.

7x Transport Ships
2x Colony Ships
1 Yarn Emissary Ship
3x Yarn Scout Ships
1x Pool Ship
2x Light Carriers
3x Destroyers
4x Frigates
1x Dreadnaught

Everything was there and all in order. His fleet was accounted for since their last jump into FTL and things were going smoothly. Now he looked down at the mostly dry, aird world below him. It was a shame there was not more water, but they could survive here. The world had natural resources to offer, though it could not sustain a very large colony it could be a valuable military/mining outpost. With asteroids roaming in such numbers it also presented natural defenses. Zerus's viens pulsed in a bright red as he puppeted his hosts body. His crimson eyes studying the information his scouts were reporting back.

Captain Arica Orpheus
Mentak Cruiser Sleepless Knight
Unexplored System

The personal fleet of Captain Orpheus, small by most standards though large for a single Mentak Captain’s holdings, snapped into the system with a burst of energy as they re-entered real space from their trans-dimensional jump. The scanners reached almost instantly, sweeping the system for a brief and rudementery survey of their surroundings. For the most part it matched up with what the long range sensors had indicated before they’d jumped. It was a binary system with thirteen planets and another half-dozen planets worth of asteroids. At the very least she should be able to locate mining resources; with better luck that one habitable zone planet might even be terrestrial.

“Ma’am; I’m picking up fast moving signals – looks like scout ships.” Arica’s first thought was that another captain had beaten her to the system. A second glance at the crewmen’s data, however, showed that these scout ships weren’t running a Mentak IFF and didn’t exactly look like Mentak designs. There was another distinct and increasingly likely possibility – they belonged to another government entirely. Arica quickly considered her options.

On the Captain’s orders, the light cruiser and destroyer groups both went dark, shutting down their reactors and dampening their energy signatures to theoretically undetectable levels. Using their power reserves, they quietly shifted course and ran at a more distant parallel to Orpheus’ cruiser and her pair of cargo transports. She knew there was no way the alien fleet would miss their arrival to the system, but that didn’t mean they’d know exactly how many ships arrived.

Although the cluster of capital ships moved in the direction of the arid planet, from her cruiser’s hanger pods, Arica launched a wing of Marauder scout ship, who flew off in a pursuit course of the Yeth’s own scout vehicles. To insure the action was not mistaken, Captain Orpheus sent off a general hail as well – a greeting to unknown vessels.

Yarn Expeditionary Fleet: Unexplored Star System

Within moments of the foreigners arrival warning lights sounded and the hologram in front of Zerus quickly began to ping and glow a myriad of warning colors indicating unknown vessels. A Yarn officer turned to him, his eyes and veins glowing a pale yellow as his body pulsed from the parasite within.

" Commander, unknown contacts, they just arrived. I wasn't able to catch how many of them are here but it's at least a couple. It appears they have scouts on an intercept course with ours...our scouts are unarmed."

Zerus red veins pulsed further, opening his mouth revealing a crimson biolumiesecent glow through his teeth.

" Call them back, I want a defensive perimeter set up around the colony ships. Were on our first alert, don't arm weapons just yet."

The officer nodded before looking back at his terminal only to look back. " They are hailing us, some kind of greeting. My host has no memory of this language they are also clearly not Yarn."

Zerus sent a hail in Yarn as well as galactic basic, he was unsure what effect this would have.

" You have trespassed on a claimed world of the Yarn Thralldom, state your purpose."

It was a simple and strong gesture, even as it was sent the fleet was moving itself. It creating a gauntleted circle around the transports and colony ships with the huge pool ship serving as the final defense. Drone fighters immediately swarmed from the light carriers and created a defensive swarm around the colonists ships. As every moment passed tensions rose.

Athia Planetary Space Command
After the cargo was unloaded, there was a major presentation given at the Space Command:

"Thank you for coming tonight. As you know, this is the official beginning of the Smoyan Space Age. May our nation prosper!" shouted a man in a black suit, Commander in Chief of the Space Command - Ronald Phyllis.

The crowd of researchers and astronauts cheered. Ronald continued, "We welcome our fellow Earthling Smoyans back. Once our ancestors were all Earthlings..." he said and looked at the ceiling, as if trying to remember something sad.

"We are all citizens of Athia. As these citizens, you have a choice - become part of everyday society, or join the greatest job there is on this planet - Astronomy!" the rest of the crowd cheered.

"Now, lets get to why we are here. Now that our friends are here, they will be staying with us for a period of time until there next mission - which is most likely in 2 days...here is the mission:

Recently, our satellites have detected some obscure images on our screens. We have seen red dots in the sky, flying across our atmosphere. However, we have no idea what this is. They are too small to be asteroids and if in our atmosphere, the comet dissolve. Okay, now their mission is to go out to Planet G - a planet we have detected these weird images are coming from. They are to see if their are any amazing planetary functions going on, or if it is just some extra terrestrials..."

The words extra terrestrials sent a chill down Ronald's spine.

"Now, it has been a good, successful day. Go get some sleep." he said, and the crowd dissolved into chatter.

Rogue

The Vresh warrior dropped back on four legs and followed after the Berserker quietly. He did not understand, nor necessarily care what the Sith and Dark Jedi had done to each other in the past, but he wasn't going to argue with the man. Might as well be quiet and meet the Primarch and do his duty.

Down the Hall

A man exited a large door from a room, probably the Primarch's office. He looked angry and he looked in the door way and yelled out. "You are making a grave mistake! You know what I will do!" Two Praetorian's at each side of the door nodded to each other and forcible dragged the man off, and two more swiftly retook their place. Inside the office it could be heard the audible classical music.

The Berserker saw the man being dragged out, he did not mind nor care, and continued walking towards the Primarch's Office, making great strides towards the office, and when he faced the Praetorians, he simply stated "I am here to talk to the Primarch." The Berserker simply stated, the Sith God's eyes piercing into their Soul.

The Berserker was not in the mood for this type of squabble, so he asked again "Can i go in..." He repeated, with his Eyes glowing a Bright Orange, i for once, the Trapped Sith God was about to get angry, but on top of that he smirked behind his mask 'This might be enjoyable...' he stated to himself.

The Berserker facepalmed inwardly, he then started to talk to his Light half 'I don't know what i should do, but right now i am getting very agitated.' The Berserker stated to himself, the Eclipse Guard then took over his body "Come on, don't make me beg now." The Berserker/Eclipse Guard stated, before the Eclipse Guard entered his counterparts sub conscious, the Berserker's mind was flaming 'Eclipse you son of a mother****** *****, i'm going to tear out your ****, and shove it right up your mother******* *****, so then i'll finally be at peace without your antics!' The Berserker screamed inwardly at his Good Counterpart.

Charzak wrote:Orbit of an Unknown Planet
Edge of the Unknown Regions

Grand Admiral Na'rhli was an average size Charzakian. He stood 8 feet tall from paws to eye stalk, with a long golden mane. His four paws gleamed in the light, and his tail blade seemed to shine. His arms were folded across his chest and his main set of eyes was closed. His eye stalks were open, looking at the planet. For generations, his family had served in the Imperial military, maintaining the tradition of the golden furred warriors. As far as he knew, his family was the only pure warrior still left in the Empire. Sure, some claimed to have a pure bloodline, but they could never prove it.

Na'rhli gazed out the command deck of the Eclipse-class dreadnaught Claw, observing the havoc the Charzakians had caused. Yesterday, acting on intelligence that a human colony had begun encroaching on Charzakian space, he had taken a part of the 1st Charzakian Defense Fleet, consisting of the Claw, two new Nebula-class Star Destroyers, three Keldabe-class battleships and seven Katana-class frigates, and departed for the colony. The fleet proved to be overkill as the colony maintained only a small defense station which was quickly destroyed by the Claw. With no orbital defenses to stop them, the fleet patiently had prepped its drop ships for a planetary assault.

The planet had only one main city and maintained a civilian militia. Charzakian troops had entered with their standard tactics of blowing everything to hell with assault tanks and heavy vehicles, then advancing with infantry as support. The civilian militia, after being bombarded by such a fierce assault, walked out of the city surrendering and throwing down their weapons. Charzakian soldiers did not care and began to fire their blaster rifles into the fray while charging the defenders to get close to enter hand to hand combat, in which no one can match a Charzakian. Tail blades and claws slashed threw the air, so that the screams echoed throughout the area. What defenders remained after the initial charge ran. Seeing the route, Charzakian soldiers threw down their own weapons and made it their goal to hunt down every single human, just like the ancient days. Now, many feasted on the corpses of the humans, roaring in glory. More Charzakians had died in displays of dominance than the actual battle that day.

As he gazed at the planet, reflecting on the events an ensign approached Na'rhli from behind. The Grand Admiral's eye stalks were the only things that moved as he gazed on the young warrior. The ensign was tan furred, a simple worker in the ancient days, not worthy of the Grand Admiral's time. However, for the young one to disturb him it had to be something important.

The ensign spoke nervously in the growling Basic of the Charzakians, "Grand Admiral, we have accomplished our mission. Should we not contact the Emperor?"

The Grand Admiral roared, scaring the entire command crew and with a flick of his tail blade, he opened the tan furred Charzakian's throat. As his body collapsed to the floor he attempted to roar, only to gurgle on his own blood. Na'rhli had not even turned his head.

He spoke, now very clearly agitated, "Our mission is over when I say its over. Would anyone else like to question me?" His eye stalks observed every one of the crew, all who bowed and whimpered in submission. "I thought not. I sense that something is about to happen. Place all ships on high alert." His main eyes finally opened and watched the stars.

Not far from Imperial Space

The Emperian Empire did maintain holdings in this region of space, and had also kept an eye on the Human colony for a ripe time to bring them into the Imperial fold. But that was when a peculiar event occurred, gravitational fluxes had been detected indicating FTL travel, followed by unusual readings from the Human radio systems being carefully monitored by Imperial Intelligence.

Needless to say out curiosity a single Imperial Cruiser, a Lunar Class Cruiser which was the standard Imperial Line Cruiser, departed Eraclius Dock, a world primarily used by the Imperial Navy as a Naval base. The Lunar Cruiser, the Quintaria, had arrived however, after the Charzakians had massacred the colony, and therefore the starship raised shields, void shields, and armed its weaponry incase it was to be engaged.

However, the Imperial Cruiser was not exactly close to the Charzak Fleet, being in the mid-rim of the system and at a distance that long range system weaponry would only be able to reach it. There the Quintaria simply waited and observed the events unfolding from afar.

The Berserker sighed, then started laughing "Damm that Eclipse, he already knows that when he did that, i got some of his personality because of it!" The Berserker silently whispered to himself.

Onboard the Claw

With his anger finally abating, the Grand Admiral sensed something new in the system. Something definitely not Charzakian in nature. He turned his body away from the viewport and walked towards the bridge's sensor station. "Tell my soldier, how long has that ship been here?"

The startled gold furred female whimpered in fear. "Sir, it...it..only arrived a moment ago. You...you..actually told me before the scanners pi...picked it up."

Now that surprised the Grand Admiral indeed. It seemed as though his training in the ways of the Goddess were paying off. He pondered resuming his studies as soon as he returned to Charzak after this expedition. "Thank you soldier. No need to worry, it is not your fault that this technology is inept." He scowled as he made his way to the captain at the helm, while the female stared down at her console in disbelief. How could the most advance sensors the Empire has to offer be inept?

The captain, who also happened to be a distant nephew of the Na'rhli, patiently awaited a command without the fear the other crew members had expressed. With a slight smirk, Na'rhli issued his orders. "Bring the Claw around and put us on a course with that new ship. Raise shields and begin recharge of the superlaser. Have a Keldabe and a Nebula-class hold here and collect the ground forces, the rest of the fleet is with us. All ahead full." The crew rushed about in a hurry in an effort to carry out the orders.

In the rush, Na'rhli grabbed his communications officer by the arm. "Do not open a channel just yet. Keep an eye out for a transmission from them but do not bring it up until I give the order." The officer nodded and bowed his head and eye stalks in respect.

The Sith God simply smirked behind his visor, and walked into the Primarchs Office, he noticed the Orb of Energy in the background, his visor flashed a Green Color 'Was that the Harmonic Convergence before the Dark Jedi God was created?!, no, impossible there were no witnesses during the Harmonic Convergence...' The Sith God stated "So i see you have the image of the Harmonic Convergence it seems, Primarch..." The Sith God stated to the Primarch.

The Primarch laughed " Please do not confuse my greatest creation with a form of your religion. Although it may hold significe. There is high doubt it is what you speak of. " he turned around and looked at the Beserker " Ah friend please sit! I'm sure you have much to fell me!" As he also sat down in front of a large black table.
