Civilization Name: The Aegis Empire

Government Type: Federal Monarchy
Population: 1 Trillion

Home World/Capitol: Aegis/Decretum
Capital Status: Decretum is a giant, bustling metropolis with various recreations, a excellent transportation system, and tourist sites. Factories, repair/maintenance shops, and space elevators criss-cross the capital with defense systems in place.
Notable Locations and such: Gula Corporation, Isatum Tower, Sinnu Construction, Eresh Corporation, Melammu Bank System, Utu Research Center, Tiamat Academy, Sepsu Corporation, Various Planets
Founding Species: Humans
Other Species: None
=========================================================
Society and Cultural Information: Will Fill In Later
Languages: English (Main), Secondary Languages: Latin
Economy: The Aegis Empire has a combination of excellent infrastructure, high productivity, and favorable government policy. This combined by vast amounts of abundant resources and a strong technological and industrial base has the economy which is already large growing even further. Military conquests have also sent a steady supply of land, labor, and resources.
Industry: Stations, factories, and other industrial complexes are being built across the planets for the extraction of resources and the mass-production of high quality goods. Vast amounts of high-quality weapons and supplies are also being stockpiled. And can't forget about the weapons of mass destruction we're building. Much effort is also put into scientific research and engineering.

Strengths: Technological/Scientific Engineering, Strong Industrial Capacity, Political/Military Geniuses
Weaknesses: Smaller Population Base=Smaller Military
=========================================================
-To Come Later-

Map Claim Size: 3
Grid Coordinates: Middle-Near End
Map Claim Color: Purple
=========================================================
Colonization/expansion: The Aegis Empire is expanding slowly making sure not to overstrech itself, but fast enough to make decent progress.
=========================================================

=========================================================
Military Information: The military is a highly trained force; its regular soldiers are exceptionally highly-trained and very well equipped with superior weaponry/training compared to nearly all other forces easily making them the equal of nearly all other nation’s elite troops, especially as marksmen. This along with a powerful industrial and technological base, the Aegis Empire boasts one of the strongest and best-equipped militarizes in the universe. Much of their technology is first devoted to improving and arming their military forces. This combination of superior technology and expertise second only to the Vortukia and rivaling the Empire of Angels and an acknowledgement that they could not match other Empires in terms of sheer numbers led engineers to begin developing superior military technology as a means of evening the odds when faced with a numerically superior enemy. Aegis military technology is mostly designed to be an effective mix of the innovative and reliable. Manufacturers, such as Sepsu, produce an array of functional, but beautifully precision engineered weapons and operating systems. Their extraordinary grasp of technology, allows them to command offensive power out of all proportion to their numbers. They are also known for their fierce-some bio-engineered creatures that terrorize the battlefield. Exceptional leadership such as that shown by Crown Prince William IV shows the strength of the men who lead the armed forces. The Knights of Aegis a order that serves only the royals consists nearly all of psionics and are most known for the deadly control over the elements. Thanks to immense endurance and resistance to hardship through rigorous training, and their almost mystical faith in and loyalty to the Empire they are a force to be feared.
Strengths: Superior (To Most)/Super-Elite Technology, Soldiers, Training
Weaknesses: Smaller Population=Smaller Military, Often avoids wars of attrition if they have a pretty good idea of whose going to win/lose.

Either or can work for me, if we're already enemies we can get to the common enemy sooner, if not.....eh, has its own ups and downs for a story.

Alright, I think your expansion to the Milky Way would be the perfect segway for my end of the conflict, we have project TITAN (expansion to new systems inside the Milky Way, and aiming to get a system or two in one of the satellite galaxies), and the as of yet unrevealed project LONGSHOT (Hint: Its not just a new ship) to serve as potential meeting setup/conflict creators, among other things.

My stuff

^ This is what I will update as additions and other such stuff come into play

Maybe you could attempt to expand into my colonies in the Milky Way.

If we didn't know they were there, that'd work, but we aren't expanding into occupied systems ATM, unless its a hidden project.

There is an area of space tucked away in one corner of the Milky Way, largely hidden. It is completely uncharted to outside eyes, as every attempt to send scouts has failed, and each and every ship or fleet has been destroyed by an unknown entity. Indeed, vast stretches of the space surrounding this unknown area play host to debris fields of all manner, with shipwrecks and corpses slowly floating through the void, testament to human superiority...

So, does anyone want to begin war with aggressively isolationist pseudo-Space Japan?

Alright, you have been selected out of the pool of volunteers. Perhaps you could send in a civilian cartographer ship to finally map out the empty space there, maybe even colonise some planets, only to come across thousands of dead bodies and wrecked ships floating in space, the remnants of the most recent attempt to scout out the area. And then the ships in grey and blue show up...

Whiteshore wrote:I want to conquer this Pseudo-Japan in the name of Communism!

Negatory, conquering the Empire of Toishima will likely be a great disaster. Just penetrating the defensive network will be a feat in itself, and then you will be fighting in the home turf of a suicidally fanatical enemy. It would be like World War Two... Except you would be Germany and I would be Russia.

My only problem with the above "civilian cartographer", they aren't really civilian (paranoid species here), they always have at least a small military escort and soldiers on the ship. If we're looking there, we're probably looking for new planets to colonize, so its going to be 10-20 ships, not counting the cartographer. No doubt I'd lose, but lone civilian ships themselves are very rare, let alone unarmed.

Yes that would be perfect, with fleet battles. Your species are not human, are they? If they are, then there is a very small chance we may be able to have some kind of relations. Also, of course you will lose the battle. Despite it sounding very godmoddy, I need it to be this way to set the tone of what I shall name the "Toishima Crisis Arc". Also your people (nobody, really) should not know Toishima's name until a more outgoing human member of the galaxy can share it.
