Well, let's take a look at your post.

United States of Natan wrote:90% the Natanian military arrived at the coast of bortes, ready to defend it.

"General, prepare to surround the slarvainian forces, meanwhile, I will contact our allies to assist us." the president said via computer.

OOC: I will post more later, give me a sec.

Well, I'll be. You just moved 6,831,604 men with all accompanying equipment and supplies to the coast of Bortes in one post.

...nononononononononononononono, it doesn't work that way. From where in your nation were they being transported from? What methods of transportation did they use? What delays did they encounter? What equipment did they bring? What weapons have they mobilized? What infrastructure is supporting this operation? What terrain will they encounter? What's their morale? How are they coping with being suddenly moved? What measures are being undertaken to ensure they don't fall victim to enemy attack? What are the details of the defences they're setting up?

After answering all those questions and more, you then wait a day or two to simulate the time it will take them to mobilize, and then post again.

The SEATO members were mostly not really active in pursuing their alliance with each other but was very alarmed in seeing this nation dare to expand unto another fellow Asian neighbour. Erin Terten, the punong (leader) of Asigna Philippines was not particularly happy about this. He and his colleagues were detrmined to wipe Maxin out of the region. As much as he hates the Chinese-oriented Shigatese peoples, he much more hates if European, western or Caucasian nations will continue to pursue domination over the Asian continent that is not intended for them.

Let us also consider that Slarvania is not the only Asian country in the continent. The Philippine government and in particular, who is an entity in the SEATO of the Southeast Asian region does not tolerate any of these actions. We hereby present to you an ultimatum in withdrawing your troops from the Great Shigatase. Any further action or non compliance would automatically be considered as an act of war.

By then, Asigna troops themselves were seen seemingly violating their own ultimatum by immediately deploying their own troops and preparing them for battle. By then, they had formulated a fixed ORBAT in preparation for battling the enemy government forces. Terten also fixed a statement demanding that at this point, the military operations should not be seen as merely nations trying to invade Slarvania using the scapegoat of freedom but largely to be seen as an international operation that will pursue the rights of the continuous existence of other nations.
Immediately, the high command of PAFF (The Philippine Asigna fighter forces). Had then assigned Heneral Ruperto Sanfrancisco as the commander of this operation. Continuous AWAC patrols cover the Philippine area of reponsibility as preparation if the tide of war will turn against them and lead the battle home, the Asigna Filipino government has by then had enough of the invasion of the POF (Paddy o' Fernature), another nation that seeks to put the government of Asigna out of action, but this operation has failed and Asigna Philippines will still be willing to pursue their actions in a world stage level. The fleet headed by Heneral Sanfrancisco had then been declared ready and is now ready for action in the battlefield.

The Slarvainian fleet had four carriers to Shemiki's one, fourteen cruisers to Shemiki's two, twelve destroyers to Shemiki's three, twenty frigates to Shemiki's two littoral combat ships, and 25 submarines to Shemiki's two.

Petrie reminded himself that there were three other Shemienese fleets identical to his stationed in various places around the USN, so their numbers equaled out after that was taken into account.

We may seem small, but never fear, we have three other fleets like this one, two blockading the northern islands and one ready to invade Liberatia.

With this in mind, how to proceed? Shall we invade immediately, or soften Natan up? Or simply not risk troop losses at all and bomb him completely into submission?

Hoping you reply,'

Captain Petrie

As he finished the telegram, Petrie then followed the standard procedure which the three other Shemienese fleets had already done, setting up as round-the-clock mission to have eyes in the sky. Basically, no Natanians could sneak up or attack without being detected, because within twenty minutes two E-2C Hawkeyes were up in the air, keeping watch with their many radar devices. They would be up there for six hours, at which point two fresh Hawkeyes would relieve them. Since there were six Hawkeyes total, this gave the Hawkeye crews six hours on and twelve hours off. It also gave the landing crews practice at readying and servicing the planes. The 52 Super Hornets were also kept ready, just in case they needed to respond quickly.

After receiving the telegram, Admiral Nakhimov promptly began to write a return telegram to the Shemienese.

To: Shemiki ORBAT

Good Day Captain Petrie. It's very nice to meet your acquaintance.

I to, was shocked when I saw on paper the size of our fleet, but when his Majesty once something done he certainly isn't afraid to give you the muscle to do it.

Now, what exactly is this force's goal? King Maxin has instructed us to obliterate the Nation of Natan using any means necessarily except for nuclear weapons. If you wanted to do a land invasion we do have the resources to conduct such an operation. That being said our force is mostly equipped with the resources to take the bombardment approach, of which I think our king (and myself) would prefer.

We too, are much more equipped for a bombardment. If King Maxin prefers it, it should be so.

We should, however, consider what to bombard. Morale is difficult to predict. If we bomb the USN, they either lose morale and give in soon, or rally to fight against their tormentors, resulting in the need to completely annihilate the nation. Of course, that's our goal, but it would be easier without resistance.

I'm thinking we should start with industrial areas, factories, manufacturing and agriculture. Resistance cannot be rallied when one has no food in one's belly. It should be easier then to proceed to military targets and then civilian once we're sure they cannot put up strong resistance.

This is just a suggestion, and I would love to hear your feedback and any other ideas.

Sincerely,

Captain Petrie

I would agree with you for the most part except for one thing. It is the Slarvainian military rules of engagement that in order to win a war you must simply do one thing, and that is to attain controls over the skies. Once you have that the war is as good as won and the only thing you have to do is execute the final blows. That's why I propose that our first strikes should first neutralize the Natanian air force and it's anti air capabilities. Our second wave of strikes will then fall upon the Natanian manufacturing sectors. Your thoughts?

Captain Petrie studied the telegram. An excellent idea, he thought, we won't have any opposition for our bombing raids.

To: Admiral Nakhimov

I believe it is an excellent idea, Admiral. Without any air force, Natan cannot hope to stop our bombardment. His planes were also the only feasible way he could attack our naval carrier strike groups, and if we eliminate that as a possibility we can hold out indefinitely and bomb him to rubble for as long as it takes. All we need to do now is come up with a strategy. The following is a list of the aircraft we carry with us:

14 F/A-18E Super Hornets
14 F/A-18F Super Hornets
24 F/A-18C Super Hornets (12 per squadron)
6 EA-6B Prowlers
6 E-2C Hawkeyes
8 SH-60F Seahawks
8 HH-60H Seahawks
10 C-2 Greyhounds

Our Prowlers would do good for taking out any air bases they have, and the Super Hornets would do for any air-to-air combat. What aircraft do you possess?

We possess 290 assorted aircraft.

100 F-18 Super Hornets
100 ACX stealth fighters
5 E3 Hawkeye
45 A10 Thunderbolt II
20 Black Hawk helicopters
20 MI-24 attack helicopters.
1 B-1 strategic bomber.

In addition we also have enough munitions to last us a full month of maximum capacity bombing operations and helicopters posted on most of our combat ships armed with anti-sub and ship weaponry.

When shall we commence attacks?

Why wait? Let us attack at once.

My one concern is your B-1. You have only one, so we will have to use it sparingly and guard it carefully. It can pack a hell of a punch, so we cannot afford to lose it. If you need any help with escort duty, we'd be happy to help.

In the meantime, I'm thinking of using four of my Prowlers to do the actual damage. They will be escorted by eight Super Hornets, and two Hawkeyes escorted by four Super Hornets will oversee the battle from above and inform my attackers of threats. You're ORBAT?

"Mr. President, this war is not going to be won with out a fight. I think we need to utilize our nuclear arsenals" General Scotts told the president.
"Very well, begin nuclear assaults on the Slarvainian capital, and prepare our bomb containment units for any retaliation bombs they send towards us".

Meanwhile, troops were marching towards shemiki (ooc: can I see a map of your country?) conjoined with parliamentary troops from the Shemiki Parliamentarian forces. they were equipped with Natanian Specialized Bullets, which injected acid and poison into opponents to incapacitate them. Planes were also headed to shemiki and slarvainian equipped with EMP bombs, to cripple their mechanical warfare.

OOC: I'm afraid I do not have any map that is in date. The one on my NSTracker and in my factbook was made years ago. I'll make a new one tonight.

Also, Shemiki and Natan do not share a border, as they no longer reside in the same region. The planes need to be carried to Shemiki by carrier, and the troops by ship or plane. You also need to get past the Shemiki-Slarvainian blockade first. Just sayin'

ever thought about the fact that maybe we are marching through your region, which we parachuted into from an area not blockaded? and you do have one nation residing in my region.

If that's the case, you need to RP that.

United States of Natan wrote:and you do have one nation residing in my region.

But it's not the nation that's in this RP, so it's irrelevant.

Here's a basic map I got from the regional map:

Image

TERRAIN: Mountains in the south, where the rivers flow from. You'll notice that there are two major networks of rivers, the eastern one with Château de la Ville, and the western one. The land around the rivers is fairly lush and fertile, either farmland, vineyard, or forest. The area between the two networks of rivers, where the lake is, tends to be arid and desert-like. The coast of the north and west has a Mediterranean climate.

My ORBAT will consist mostly at this point of utilizing our ACX stealth fighters for bombing sorties while using our F-18 Super Hornets to escort them during their bombing runs. In addition we'll be using an assortment of ship and sub launched ballistic and conventional missiles.

As soon as I receive your confirmation I shall begin attacks.

OOC:Do you have a real world example or even an example from a fictional work to show me how it can work? Maybe that would help me realize how it could possibly work.

Shavou

Slarvainian infantry assault teams poured into the city of Shavou as engineer teams began clearing roads and paths for the armoured collums to enter the city and support the infantry teams. It was during these situations where the assault teams would have to navigate their way through partly blocked off streets or narrow alleys between ruined buildings that the Shigatase troops and their guerrilla tactics would strike the Slarvainians. Another target that the Shigatases loved to strike were the Slarvainian armoured vehicles stopped by a rubble blocked road and the engineer teams as they tried to remove the rubble. These tactics resulted in high Slarvainian casualties and overall low Shigatase casualties.

To counter this tactic General Ritter utilized the 20 Mi-24s that he had at his disposal to track down the guerrilla fighters from the air and then using their side attached rocket pods to destroy those pockets of resistance, allowing the Slarvainian troops to continue to move through the city with relative ease.

Half a days drive from Shavou

Commander Pei-tsun lead his army of about 60,000 troops down the main highway from the capital district towards Shavou. This was the largest force that Shigatase could possibly spare towards Shavou. Considering that the Emperor and high command had decided this was the most dire area needing assistance, Pei-tsun didn't want to imagine how little support ant where else on the front was getting. The army had left Shi city with about 40,000 men, but authorized to conscript any able bodied man along the way, Pei-tsun had gained 20,000 more men during the journey. Although a large proportion had no training at all and some not even a firearm, Pei-tsun was grateful for every man. He new that the consequences if he lost this battle would be far greater than any citizen of either warring country could imagine.

Let us begin.

Captain Petrie

On the deck of the Shemienese Gerald R. Ford class aircraft carrier R78 Montagne, four EA-6B Prowlers were being prepped for takeoff, their crew in the cockpit and the engines warming up. A squadron of twelve Super Hornets (assorted 18Es and 18Fs) were already in the air, patrolling around the Shemienese fleet and waiting to escort the prowlers. High above, two E-2C Hawkeyes ensured that no Natanian could sneak up on the Shemienese fleet. They would fly inland high above the Prowlers and their escorting Hornets, warning them of any dangers they may encounter. Another two Hawkeyes would also take off, but remain behind above the fleet to ensure no Natanian counterattack would come through. They had previously scouted out a large airfield the Natanian military had set up on the coast of Bortes, and their intention was to destroy it, just as they had agreed with Slarvainian.

Petrie watched as the four Prowlers rose off the carrier deck into the sky.

Um, I can tell your new. I don't mean to discourage you or anything, but using more than one nation in a single thread is called puppet-wanking. You can only use one nation per war. Sorry :(

Hope I didn't discourage you :)

Slarvainian fleet off the coast of Natan

The Slarvainian air attack took off from its carriers in unison with the Shemiki strike force. The Slarvainian strike force consisted of 60 ACX fighters, 60 F-18 Super Hornets,5 E3 Hawkeyes and 20 A-10s. As the planes took off from their carriers they began to head in the direction of the pre-determined costal Natanian targets. Stage one of the bombing was to gain air superiority over Natan along the coast. To accomplish this bombing targets included mainly Natan air force targets and anti-air facilities and weapons.

Shavou.

The Slarvainian military recon assets picked up on the large Shigatase force on its way to reinforce the dwindling resisting garrison trying to defend the city.

General Ritter ordered the 20 A-10s at his command to strike the Shigatasians before they even reached the outskirts of the city.

The attack planes came screaming in down upon the Shigatase force of 60,000 men. Missiles launching from the aircraft and exploding with lethal force and accuracy, numerous armoured vehicles and tanks exploded into a fiery blaze. With that only being the first run and expecting there to be no enemy air coverage, the pilots of the A-10s thought this would be a turkey shoot...they were wrong. Few times during the war so far had the Shigatasians gotten the jump on the Slarvainian forces, unfortunately, this happened to be one of those times.

Two flights of Shigatase top of the line mig-29s game soaring across the sky to intercept the Slarvainian attack planes. They were planes directly from Shi City, sent to escort this force of 60,000 men. Their first attempt to intercept the Slarvainians was without flaw. All 8 missiles launched hit their mark and the Shigatase intercept scored a perfect 8/8 kill ratio.

The A-10s broke formation and took evasive actions, trying to avoid the best they could the Shigatase planes. The A-10s radioed in for fighter assistance but it would be another 7 minutes before help in the form of Slarvainian F-18 super hornets would arrive, and during that, the Shigatase had managed to shoot down another 5 aircraft. The only upside to this strike attempt being that the rescuing Slarvainian fighter planes did manage to shoot down all 8 Shigatase fighter planes, enacting revenge for their fallen comrades.
