Since the military coup that re-instated the old monarch family in Slarvainian in recent months, it has been the active and exercised foreign policy of Slarvainian of imperialism and expansionism. Although there have been wars of expansionism in recent history, most of them have been on a smaller scale or haven’t amounted to much (Natan war). Now though the hunger for expansionism is burning once again in the stomach of Slarvainian and the administration has focused sights on a very appetising target to the east of the nation.

The Great Shigatase is a large developing nation to the east, covering close to 11 million square kilometers and was home to 1.7 billion people. The Great Shigatase was a nation of rich culture which resembled many aspects of a real world Asian oriented culture. The nation is ruled by a single person, an emperor who takes the thrown by way of royal secession. Because of Shigatase’s large surface area is also means that the nation has access to a large pool of natural resources which has been fueling their recent beginning stages of industrialization. The military of Shigatase numbers around the 2.7 million mark. The military is moderately modernized with most of its advanced equipment being made and imported from other nations and the more basic equipment being produced inside Shigatase’s borders.

All of these attributes were considered by a board of Slarvainian military officials and the board determined that Shigatase would be the perfect target for the next stage of Slarvainian expansionism. The decisions of the board was looked over by the Emperor of Slarvainian, Extarius Maxin and he didn’t have to think long before coming to a decision. Full invasion authorized.

That now brings us to today, where 5 million JSUV soldiers from all 3 branches of the Slarvainian military and even troops from the regional guard, were all participating in a full border attack on Shigatase.

The Department of Defence considered the matter of the border attack on Shigatase. Although it does not always condone such attacks it considered supporting the Slarvanian nation in hopes to establish strong economical ties in the near future. The head of DOD Tony Somble just minutes ago gave the green light in throwing support behind Slarvarnian forces. Although the support would be small in comparison to other nations that may support the efforts would not be in vain.

The United States of Natan offically declares war on Slarvainian to oppose their attempts at expansion.

An emergency meeting was held just hours after the last naval vessel had left our shores. The President, Head of DOD, Head of Homeland Security and other dignitaries came together to discuss new news of the Slarvanian Expansion and war.

'President, sir' the head of DOD spoke from a ageing beard and half a cigar
'What is it?' a tall fit man of his 50s dressed in an expesnive suit and shoes questioned.
'Malaysii and the United States of Natan are opposing the Slarvanian expansion! With their forces, all hope will be lost we are looking at mass causalities if we do not withdraw immediately!
The president stood up and paced the floor while satellite images flashed behind him of mass troop movements on the border of Slarvia and Shigatase!
'What are we looking at?'
'80% at least. Who knows maybe more and who knows how many captured. This will turn into a political storm. Something must be done, sir!'
The president sat down and stared long into the screens before him.
'We cannot afford protests as it is with our ongoing civil rights issues here at home yet we cannot turn around now. If we retreat home the world will know we are weak!'
'But sir!...' he was interrupted.
'Put the fleet on high alert! The world will know that we will back down from a fight no matter how just the cause! How long till they reach the shores?'

'Sir! Have you read the telegram from the Foreign Affair in Malaysii?' the Head of DOD questioned as he was leaving the Planning Room surrounded by extra security following a suspected terrorist attack that occured just moments ago!

680 pieces of M777 howitzers had been moved to the eastern border of Slarvainian with Shigatase over the past few weeks, and were positioned within firing range of main Shigatase targets. On the morning of the first day of war all 680 pieces had opened up with a full hour long bombardment of targets in Shigatase. These targets consisted of large population centers, military bases and other assets (excluding air ports) and communication centers. Within this hour of bombardment, 163,000 rounds of 155mm artillery shells fell on these Shigatase's targets.

In the air 50 B1 bombers were making their way to their own designated targets which were very similar to that of the artillery. Flying escort for them was an assortment of 500 Slarvainian Air Force ACX stealth planes and F-18 super hornets. The only Shigatase planes patrolling the skies near the border at this time were a few flights of Mig-21s. No match for the more modern Slarvainian planes, the patrols were easily shot out of the sky.

Under the water's of the ocean south of the Slarvainian/Shigatase border, 10 Putinov class nuclear submarines and 10 Extarius class diesel electric submarines, had been positioned off the coast for the beginning of the war. Now the submarines started executing their assigned orders. If you had been standing on the southern coast of Shigatase what you would of seen were white streaks across the sky line, made by the Slarvainian submarines sea to land missiles heading towards their targets.


The statement made by Malaysii has been dismissed by the Slarvainian government as a empty warning. The government also welcomes the declaration of war by Natan and we look forward to militarily destroying you once again.

OOC: To emphasize the French language of Shemiki, I will spell "Theodore" as "Théodore" from now on.

IC: Ever since leaving the Natan Region, the Absolute Monarchy of Shemiki, under King Théodore I, has kept close tabs on the United States of Natan. Therefore, when intelligence from an ally, the Republic of Strangereal Planet, revealed that Natan was once again foolishly engaging in a war with superior JSUV forces, Théodore jumped at his chance. Pacing his study, he counted himself among the lucky for being a monarch, and not having to go through any Parliamentary procedure to get what he wanted done. Within an hour, he was on live television across Shemiki, declaring his support for Slarvainian's war of expansion, and Shemiki's declaration of war against both the Great Shigatase and the United States of Natan.

Afterwards, Théodore sat smoking a cigar in his study late into the night, going through all the paperwork required to make Shemiki a contender in this war. He had left the trivial matters of preparing an Order of Battle, or ORBAT, to his Minister of Defence and his advisors. However, he always sent his diplomatic requests in his own writing, instead of dictating what he wanted to an aide. He rubbed his tired eyes as he scanned the telegram he had written to Slarvainian. Soft candlelight fell across his mahogany desk, and he reflected how much he preferred it to a harsh florescent light or overly-bright incandescent. He decided the telegram was acceptable, given he had written it into the late hours of the night, and he gazed at the ornate grandfather clock that sat against the wall. 1:00? He had thought it was only 23:00 at most.

I've got to get to bed, he thought, though a pressing problem had been pervading his thoughts all night, and that was Natan. He had been sure he had him in his clutches the last time Shemiki and JSUV had teamed up, but that war had fizzled out. How to prolong this war to give him time to have Nate Natan's blood on his hands? Granted, the addition of the United Kingdom of Malaysii complicated things, as they were larger even than Shemiki, but Théodore had a few allies of his own. Heck, that moralistic fool Carrilion of the Replica Union might even be willing to join in on Shemiki's side if it meant a halt to their Cold War.

I'll telegram Carrilion tomorrow, he thought, sending the telegram to Slarvainian and blowing out the candle on his desk, and made his way out of the study to his comfortable king-size bed.

Our fleet and strike group remain poised some miles from your coast. We are still remaining stationed until we deem necessary at this stage. Our Defence Department is considering reinforcements at this stage but it will be at some cost to our own defence as doubling our commitment will use up 20% of our national forces. If we do perhaps double our commitment and enter the war supporting you we will have to draw on our reserve guard just to be safe here at home, I hope you can appreciate that with our small force we will have to be strategic-smart in these matters.

While we are not a nuclear-power we do not condone use of nuclear weapons as malaysii has alleged. We wish to see some evidence that there were in-fact no use of weapons as claimed. If weapons have been used of this nature our fleet will embark back home and our ties will be severed. This being said we will support Slarvainian if nuclear weapons are not used against your border enemy but we are mutual if nations such as malaysii use weapons against you and vice versa, Old Havana has no issues with that at this time, we pray that this war may be over as soon as started!'

'Raptor Super-Eight reporting'. The pilots hands were shaking. he was nervous. This was the first time many of these pilots had seen deployment.

Super-Eight was the leading aircraft of eight aircraft made up of 2 F-22 Raptors, 4 x F-18s and 2 B-52 Bombers in the rear.
There were several targets just miles inside Shigatese territory over the border from Slarvanian that were to be hit.
The bombing started just a minute after the green light. A division HQ, comms tower and several anti-air gun placements were seemingly caught of guard. The B-52 Bombers continued deeper into Shigatese as the remaining raptors and F-18s returned to the aircraft carrier some 10 miles from land.

The bombers began carpet bombing artillery placements, death was reigning down from above. Just as they they were doing a final bombing run before they flew back to base, anti-aircraft lit up the sky from every angle. Boomone bomber down he disappeared in a trail of fire. Boom Bang Bangthe second bomber was hit but wasn't down. He was going down fast trying to steady the control. This pilot was one of the few that had seen operations. He was loosing against the machine, trying to touch down near an enemy airfield but missed and plummeted into a forest that lined a large enemy airfield. Surely no one could have made that!

We are in it now! We just undertook our first bombing run into Shigatese. We lost two b52 bombers in the process however one was lost into a forest near an airfield some 11 miles from your border. They are presumed dead but we are considering a Search-and-rescue operation but it seems the stakes may be too high. Our drones are suggesting the run was a success with some 2500-5000+ enemy KIA! We will be undertaking bombing runs every hour or so but we will need to find more intelligence on anti-aircraft placements. They are blocking us from hitting them harder for now.

IC: months had been spent planning. The time was now. After months, the Prime Minister would finally return home, his honor restored. Some Shemienese royal guards who were secretly still loyal to parliament had managed to rise through the ranks, and were recruited by the former Parliament members still loyal to Prime Minister Denebe. The Plan was ready to be carried out.

Today was the day. the Royal Family would be captured, along with King Theodore's closest advisers. The plan was simple yet swift. Many of the royal family's guards had been captured prior, and were being held in a USN maximum security prison. many of those guards were replaced by parliamentarian supporters, and would guard the royal family at night.The plan was for them to all meet, and march as a unit to abduct the members of the royal family, execute any opposing guards, and send the royal family to a USN maximum security prison. They would also do the same with the other high ranking members of the government. Afterwards, USN/pro-parliament shemienese troops would converge on the nation, placing it under martial law until order could be reestablished, and parliament could regain control. The remainder of the parliament that was left after the Shemienese civil war would be on standby to reenter the city.

680 pieces of M777 howitzers had been moved to the eastern border of Slarvainian with Shigatase over the past few weeks, and were positioned within firing range of main Shigatase targets. On the morning of the first day of war all 680 pieces had opened up with a full hour long bombardment of targets in Shigatase. These targets consisted of large population centers, military bases and other assets (excluding air ports) and communication centers. Within this hour of bombardment, 163,000 rounds of 155mm artillery shells fell on these Shigatase's targets.

In the air 50 B1 bombers were making their way to their own designated targets which were very similar to that of the artillery. Flying escort for them was an assortment of 500 Slarvainian Air Force ACX stealth planes and F-18 super hornets. The only Shigatase planes patrolling the skies near the border at this time were a few flights of Mig-21s. No match for the more modern Slarvainian planes, the patrols were easily shot out of the sky.

Under the water's of the ocean south of the Slarvainian/Shigatase border, 10 Putinov class nuclear submarines and 10 Extarius class diesel electric submarines, had been positioned off the coast for the beginning of the war. Now the submarines started executing their assigned orders. If you had been standing on the southern coast of Shigatase what you would of seen were white streaks across the sky line, made by the Slarvainian submarines sea to land missiles heading towards their targets.

IC: Ever since leaving the Natan Region, the Absolute Monarchy of Shemiki, under King Théodore I, has kept close tabs on the United States of Natan. Therefore, when intelligence from an ally, the Republic of Strangereal Planet, revealed that Natan was once again foolishly engaging in a war with superior JSUV forces, Théodore jumped at his chance. Pacing his study, he counted himself among the lucky for being a monarch, and not having to go through any Parliamentary procedure to get what he wanted done. Within an hour, he was on live television across Shemiki, declaring his support for Slarvainian's war of expansion, and Shemiki's declaration of war against both the Great Shigatase and the United States of Natan.

Afterwards, Théodore sat smoking a cigar in his study late into the night, going through all the paperwork required to make Shemiki a contender in this war. He had left the trivial matters of preparing an Order of Battle, or ORBAT, to his Minister of Defence and his advisors. However, he always sent his diplomatic requests in his own writing, instead of dictating what he wanted to an aide. He rubbed his tired eyes as he scanned the telegram he had written to Slarvainian. Soft candlelight fell across his mahogany desk, and he reflected how much he preferred it to a harsh florescent light or overly-bright incandescent. He decided the telegram was acceptable, given he had written it into the late hours of the night, and he gazed at the ornate grandfather clock that sat against the wall. 1:00? He had thought it was only 23:00 at most.

I've got to get to bed, he thought, though a pressing problem had been pervading his thoughts all night, and that was Natan. He had been sure he had him in his clutches the last time Shemiki and JSUV had teamed up, but that war had fizzled out. How to prolong this war to give him time to have Nate Natan's blood on his hands? Granted, the addition of the United Kingdom of Malaysii complicated things, as they were larger even than Shemiki, but Théodore had a few allies of his own. Heck, that moralistic fool Carrilion of the Replica Union might even be willing to join in on Shemiki's side if it meant a halt to their Cold War.

I'll telegram Carrilion tomorrow, he thought, sending the telegram to Slarvainian and blowing out the candle on his desk, and made his way out of the study to his comfortable king-size bed.

We have agreed to commit to the war immediately. We are sending reinforcements as we speak. We are tripling our commitments on the ground and increasing naval presence in the region. We will be as mentioned strategic-smart and minimize civilian causalities as much as we can.

Just as the nation had promised, reinforcements for the war efforts had arrived just as the first missiles began to rain down on our fleet.

Syike sent cruise missiles that darkened the sky. Using the classic defensive manoeuvres the strike group formed while the Virginia-Class submarines headed straight for the enemy fleet peeling off in no particular direction sending their fleet scrambling to make a formation but submarines were scouring their position. Torpedoes were launched and the deep sea lit up like a Christmas tree in explosions. Their had surely seized the initiative.

The destroyers taking heavy casualities, what was left of them, began to play a game of cat-and-mouse with the enemy Sovremenny class destroyers. The destroyers and peeled out of the defensive and headed south while just out of range from enemy fire but still enough to keep them on the run,

The enemy submarines were no were to be found, a worrying concern for the fleet, super-hornets scrambled from the decks of the carriers in search of them. From a high, the area seemed like a graveyard of burning ships but the battle was only just starting.

Imperialism does not deserve even one life, whether it is the life of an Imperialist himself or not." The Admiral responded decisively, and presently slumped back into his command chair. "I was hoping we wouldn't have to be witness to any massive casualties..."
