before we begin why don't we look at the prelude to our situation.

The United States of America formally declared war on the rising russian threat, by 2025 the two nations had battled for 10 years and were growing weak, all across the world war broke out those siding with russia and those with the US. finally a peace agreement was signed and the war had ended. the earth was in pieces hunger and starvation civil wars in russia the soviet union had been formed and built itself up. large nations like china were richer than ever , the nuclear arms of the earth were enough to kill everyone 120 times
but yet humanity continued growing and expanding. the US is on the brink of collapse and central africa has not been heard from. now its up to you to continue this legacy.

America attempted to rally its allies, but Japan and South Korea knew better than to fight Russia. They opted for neutrality, which was a great decision for Japan, but a big mistake for Korea.

During the war, China began growing stronger and stronger. Not wanting to be left behind in this global arms race, Japan began stockpiling all of its nuclear material. Stockpiles of leftover fissile material from all 50 reactors in the country gave it enough material to make several nuclear missiles. These were, naturally, aimed at people all around them to keep them away. In 2019, a terrorist attack destroyed half of Seoul, in South Korea. Naturally, North Korea was blamed, and the ROKA and the JSDF banded together to attack the North. Secretly, however, the JSDF abandoned the ROKA to fight the North themselves. Once they were weakened, the JSDF moved in began protecting South Korea for the Koreans in 2023.

In 2025 the Peace Treaty was signed, and the war officially ended. Japan, however, was not content with the spoils they already had. With a sudden fire in the government's records systems, the constitution was destroyed. It was quickly restored, with the omission of a part known as "Article 9".

With that, the JSDF already in South Korea officially invaded it, taking it over without a drop of blood spilled. 2026 saw the JSDF launching a full-scale invasion of Taiwan. He promises new policies to rebuild the nation's economy, infrastructure, and world dominance in a way that will not favor one party, but rather the people of the US. He unites the US people and promises to carry them forward like FDR did 100 years before. He scrambles to rebuild the US military as Japan, and China grow in size, strength, and aggressiveness in the Pacific. Mean while the US has given up on policing the middle east and has invested in domestically produced oil from Alaska, ethanol, and electricity to power their cars. In the mid west where the vast expanses of open ground used to be are wind and solar farms that have been built to reduce reliance on coal. The first fusion reactor is built in the US after scientists discovered the technique to create nuclear fusion which promises to supply all of the US's power needs.

The battered United States now rebuilds it's broken military and economy with it's newly constructed domestic manufacturing system. With costs of Chinese products on the rise and a less free market, most US companies have moved manufacturing back to the US. As a result the US economy has showed some signs of recovery. However one more catastrophic event could weaken the entire union, send states into revolt and threaten to destroy the United States for good.

I believe that is what semi-PMT is. Not directly PMT, with a large amount of MT, but also with some PMT elements.

I want to clarify that Japan here is more like an alliance of Japan, Taiwan, Korea and Singapore, with Japan as the leader. All of these countries are sort-of vassal states with Japan-friendly governments but still with supposed national sovereignty and their own militaries. Think the old USSR and the satellite states. Therefore the "Japanese military" would not just be the JSDF, but also the ROKA, the ROCA and the SAF. The numbers I posted before are wrong, and would be much higher thanks to the ROKA, ROCA and SAF. Not as high as Russia's, of course, but still quite high.

Singapore is still allowed to rule itself whatever way it wants, and is still a sovereign nation, just somehow under the umbrella of "Japan". Another reason is money. Singapore is one of the world's largest ports, and Japanese-controlled taxes, along with subtly diverted National Taxes allows Japan to keep growing.

Another OOC reason is because, well, I am a Singaporean, and, heheh... =P

But sure, there could be some interesting things regarding China and Japan's relationship in the RP, especially regarding Taiwan. I'm intending to make Japan a modern imperialist state in Asia, maybe even attacking the rest of South East Asia at one point. See how it goes.

Ohhh, this is going to be interesting. An aggressive China against an aggressive Japan. Now which one should I support? Or should I support neither? I think it will be ok if I support the Philippines and Australia since I am the US and they are probably scared shitless of China and Japan.

Finally I have one thing I must make sure of. Naval battles are very important to me. Since this is taking place in the Pacific it makes it even more important. I just want to make sure that everyone knows that fleets rarely see each other and that aircraft and missiles are the most effective weapons to attack with. There are no battleships that can get within visual range since they would be destroyed over 300 miles away by missiles and aircraft. The last RP I was in had guys with battleships attacking my carriers and I got so pissed. Please read up on naval combat if any if you are unfamiliar with it. I you have questions I can answer them to the best if my ability.

Government- Bureaucratic dictatorship. Same as they have now.
Ruler- President Sun Zhengcai.
Claims- Taiwan, Quemoy, Matsu, the Diaoyu Islands, and every rock and jetty in the South China Sea. Sometimes, when they're feeling saucy, Mongolia and Okinawa.
Military Info
Military Size- In total, 4,500,000. 2,300,000 active-duty, 800,000 reservists, 1,500,000 paramilitary.
Army Size- 1,700,000, plus all those reservists, with approximately 6,000 main battle tanks and 2,000 IFVs. Their equipment isn't cutting-edge, but it's all solid stuff and they have lots of it. They manufacture all their own equipment.
Navy Size- 290,000, with 530 ships. They have very little power-projection capability - the much-vaunted Carrier Liaoning has never actually left port except for a few maneuvers - but an extremely solid sea-denial system, focusing on missile destroyers and missile subs.
Air-force- 330,000, with 2,500 aircraft. They are drastically behind in terms of stealth aircraft, but they compensate with ground-based stealth-defeating radars, and once that curtain is lifted then their planes can compete with the newer models on even terms.

I'll sketch in the history in more detail later, but broadly speaking, China hasn't changed. It opted to wait out World War 3.
