Paddy O Fernature wrote:The Gulf Empire, I have a couple of problems with your latest post. For starters, you teleported your counter attack, so that they could "instantly" intercept/counter the attack. Things like jets and helicopters take time to scramble, as it takes a little time for the alert to go out, crews to assemble, travel time for the aircraft, and then finally arriving in the AO and commencing the attack. You can use things already in the AO instantly, but if it wasn't there then it's going to take a post or two to arrive and actually do anything.
Secondly, if your going to claim that your weapons are better then anyone's, you had best back that up with links to some hard facts as to why this is. At least do a better job trying to explain, as "just cause I said so" really isn't a good reason.
Thirdly, the last section of your post about the air attack is just... wrong on a couple of different levels. For starters, Stealth aircraft (especially older ones) are not 100% undetectable. They can be detected by enemy positions, and to dictate that they were not by enemy forces is godmodding on your part. You then pretty much dictated that "all" targets in the AO were attacked and hit with your attack, which is again godmodding on your part. You lastly then "activated their super-sonic engines and speed back to their base..." and again denied your enemy a chance to respond to your attack. Which, yet again, is pretty GM on your part.
Nothing personal, just some constructive feedback.
I concur. Stealth fighters are not entirely undetectable. IRIST, LADAR, amongst other techniques, including passive radar frequencies of some sorts could pick them up. I have also looked into the capabilities of Pantsyr S-1s in addition to C-400s, they too have capabilities to intercept stealth fighters to an extent.
They may be "stealth" on paper, however there are several loopholes to get towards them.
Oh, for a last note, I am about to post into the in-game thread soon to respond to Paddy's as well as Macedonia's attacks.
