Ah, but what is a soul? The Ascended have only a soul, for it is their only facet. Physical form is secondary and mutable, now that they have sloughed off their weak fleshy confines. The curse of immortality is one they bear gladly, clad in deathless forms proof against the ravages of time. Only those who fear death fear immortality, for jealousy breeds hatred.

A) I have some old friends here.
B) Yalos invited me.

Civilization Name: The Tyllic Remnant Worlds
Civilization Age: 232 Standard Years

Government Type: Martial Law/Militarism
Government Information: I can make names for expendable Commanders whenever I need a power-hungry Warlord or whatnot. Jer'reg Kethl, Vreddam Chalai, Erabax...
Government Status: The Remnant is holding its own against Crusader Fleets, Pantheon splinters and internal failure. For now.
Population: Roughly thirty-five billion, most of them crammed into only a few systems. Many others in the form of Crusader Fleets, Warlord Protectorates, and Lost Zones.

Home World/Capitol: Tyllon; Tyllor System
Capital Status: Pretty crammed and barely working out for anyone. No wonder so many Tyllics leave to become parts of the roving Crusader Fleets.
Notable locations and such: Tyllon, Xillos, Vathra
Founding Species: Tyllics.
Other Species: There used to be more species, but the Xill Empire broke up completely after their final (and first in a long time) war. All other species are now working for themselves, and some are flourishing on their own.
=========================================================
Society and Cultural information: Modern Tyllic culture is promiscuous but practical, focusing on the species' survival and resources. Revered traits include intelligence, strength, and effectiveness at one's job.
Society Status: Everyone still suffers from the war, and society increasingly becomes intolerant of anything damaging to their way of life - and more hostile towards outsiders.
Languages: Tyllan
Economy: 3 or 4-ish. Losing wars tends to be bad for the economy, and more so when the country collapses completely.
Industry: 4. Whatever the Remnant needs to survive.
Production/Construction: 6. Warships. The big kind.

Soopah Powah: Xillos. I'm not kidding, the planet is a superweapon of sorts. It is ringed with ground structures periodically across the planet that used to allow Tyllics/Xillics to extend the range of their wormhole drives for intergalactic space travel. No one knows how many ships used that escape as a last resort during the loss of Xillos, but the system's broken now. If it's reactivated, then Xillos will become a massive gateway for returning Imperial forces, and the Tyllic race will once again have a true empire, connected once again with all their colonies...

Specialties/Advanced Sciences: energy production, defensive fortification, shipbuilding
Strengths: large research stockpile
Weaknesses: Much information and research capacity stuck on Library Worlds, weak offensive technology
=========================================================
Map Claim Size: 1, maybe as much as a 3 if you count outposts. But if they were cohesive and had contact with all their kin? 6.
Grid Coordinates: (See the star map, these are the coordinates on the galaxy grid of each square of turf you own. Can only claim the number of squares specified in claim size. It may be possible to share spaces, but you must consult the ones you intend to share with first for their permission. Also, don't piss off the map maker.)
Map Claim Color: Dark Green, or Light grey if not available

Holdings/Territory: See factbook for four top systems, but there are more, as well as a few far-flung outposts. Not to mention a good deal of worlds that lost contact with the main part of the Xill Empire during the Pantheon Wars.

Colonization/expansion: Given the Remnant's position, I don't think they'll be doing anything other than occupying already-colonized worlds for now. Besides, they need wealth for the military, not the building of colonies. At least, according to the Council.
=========================================================
Foreign policy: The Remnant's been warring internally for a while. They haven't cared about the outside until now.
Diplomacy: None. Most people have stayed away from the chaos, thinking the Remnant would collapse sooner or later. They were wrong.

Technological Age: advanced scientific technology, moderate combat technology (focus on defense), moderate civil technology
FTL Capabilities: 8. Wormhole devices. Essentially a controlled black hole. Not the kind if thing you want to have an inexperienced pilot for...
Inter Planetary Travel: 5. Plasma Engines. Create heat, vent it out the back, it provides force and therefore thrust. And plasma creates a LOT of heat.
=========================================================
Military Information: The military is small compared to some, but large compared to the overall population of the Remnant. Ground assault forces consist entirely of heavy infantry, who are naturally effective soldiers due to their species' traits, and air support units.
Doctrine: Commandants act as generals, directing the largest military units. Next come Fleet Admirals and Field Commandants, followed by various other ranks. The Navy operates as a n orbital bombardment and siege element while the Army invades a planet at takes any infrastructure that is desired. In space combat, the Army repels boarders and sometimes boards enemy ships itself, while the Navy has its own strategy: Larger ships sit back, take the hits, and pour in pulsefire, smaller vessels maneuver and add support fire, and fighters both keep enemy fighters at bay and occupy a foe's lighter weaponry.
Army: Essentially just a bunch of combat-suit equipped infantry. Surprisingly effective, but lacking any real diversity.

Navy:
Talon-Class Fighter: Heavy fighter.
Reaper-Class Gunship: Dropship for ground forces; mobile support platform.
Hunter-Class Frigate: Relatively fast heavy frigate.
Executioner-Class Carrier: Carries 50 fighters and 20 gunships.
Bastion-Class Cruiser: Mainstay of the Tyllic Fleet.
Vathra-Class Destroyer: Heavy warship, specializes in the destruction of large vessels.
Defender-Class Heavy Carrier: Carries 220 fighters and 40 gunships.
Tyllon-Class Capital Ship: Capital ship. Pretty self-explaining.
Empire-Class Dreadnought: Giant warship, built to take and hold large sections of a system. Carries 100 fighters and 10 gunships.

Strengths: advanced ship armor, powerful ground forces (advanced infantry combat suits included)
Weaknesses: pulse weapons are weaker than most weapons, lack of ground troop diversity
=========================================================
NS activity: on every day, though I may at times miss a day or two
Technological Bases: My imagination mostly, though that is influenced by the many different sci-fi things I have seen.

Species Name: Tyllics (formerly Xillics)
Appearance: See Anatomy (picture may be edited in if I can find someone to make it for me)
Biology and anatomy: Tyllics have four arms and are bipedal,with scaly skin, and are a reptalian/primate species. Males have "lekku" (headtails). Tyllics evolved as apex predators, and have two pairs of eyes: humanoid-range and heat-sensing. This makes up for their poor sense of smell. Tyllic digestive systems are designed to run on as little food as possible. Furthering their hunting (and therefore ground combat) skills are their keratinized knuckle-talons, which may act as a brutal punch/stab weapon. Tyllics are also adept climbers, and are, on average, eight feet tall. No ethnic variations exist that are noticeable to outsiders.
Height: eight feet
Weight: 190-250 pounds is normal for a full-grown adult.
Relative survivability: Tyllics are pretty tough, due to their predatory skills. Their ships reflect their ability to last.

Natural Defenses/Abilities: Knuckle-talons, talons on feet (think Velociraptor, or perhaps an organic General Grievous), high levels of predatory cunning, climbing, ability to survive toxic atmospheres for very small periods of time
Unnatural abilities: What could possibly be "unnatural" if it was evolved?

Respiratory Gas: Carbon Dioxide
Base composite Element: Silicon

Base Form and Ethnic Variations: None noticeable (Might change if RPs include such information).
=========================================================
Life Span: If the Tyllic dies from natural causes, normally four hundred years of age.
Reproduction: --Information Unavailable--
Intelligence Level: Moderately high, higher in males due to head-tails' enhancement of brain cavity.
Traits/Behavior/Disposition: Mood swings, commonly either aggressive, in a calm state of eloquence, or desiring "attention" (when in a low-stress environment). Tyllic thought rarely makes sense to non-Tyllics, due to its rapid shifting and an unusual brain organization pattern.

Type: Reptilian humanoid
Aggression: 4

Society and Cultural information: See response on Nation application.
Important Characters: As stated before, mostly dime-a-dozen officers... Except for Arados. Yeah, that Warlord... Sarthal, Pavlostani, and Inesia have seen the trouble he caused before.

Also, notes:
There are many Tyllic splinter factions, and this is by no means the definitive one. There are Warlords, Crusader Fleets, and Rebel Zones all hiding around... not to mention those sectors that lost contact with the Remnant. Lots of potential there...

Anyways, this is my way of starting out small and not barging in with my full power, thereby committing the horrific sin of godmodding.

Oh dear. This is going to be fun, old friend.

Species app will follow soon.

(Insert Nation Flag/Insignia here)
Civilization Name: Corpus Umbrae
Civilization Age: 4572 Of lost hope

Government Type: They have a caste based society that could be compared to the society described by Plato in his Republic. They have three castes that run different parts of their society and they leaders of the castes act as the three rulers of the Corpus. These castes are the workers, the soldiers, the explorers. However what is important to know is that ones caste isn't set in stone and one can shift between them at will, but their society focuses on that one should know their limits and focus on their strengths. As such their society is highly ordered and efficient and can quickly focus on objectives their leaders set for their society. For example if they were to declare war their entire society would quickly shift into a total war style of warfare.
Government Information: The most important people in their government are the three leaders. Leader of the soldiers are Dominus Miles Leto, their workers are Dominus Scolaris Caius and finally we have the leader of the explorers which is Dominus Inventore Quintus. They are a rather divided group as they all have different views on how to run their society, however they still try to compromise as much as possible.
Government Status: Stable but with some bickering among leaders.
Population: 1 billion.

Home World/Capitol: None their homeworld was destroyed by a meteor and since then most of their society lives on a spaceship/city called Asticus Magna
Capital Status: Has begun to be overcrowded and therefore they have begun a large expansion of their ship.
Notable locations and such: Their bazaar. Hydroponics and docks.
Founding Species: Arakh
Other Species: None
=========================================================
Society and Cultural information: As a society they view themselves as superior and don't have any problem with capturing other races as slaves to be used or sold. Yet they will often trade with other races to get resources they can't produce on their own. As such they can seem to be hypocritical, but for them it just about the profits they stand to gain. Besides their slaver ways they sometimes raid undefended colonies to steal resources that can be traded. What many governments hate about the Corpus Umbrae is that they will trade anything with anyone including harmful substances, weaponry and the like aslong as they make a large profit.
Society Status: A highly ordered society that will trade with everyone given they chance.
Languages: Corpurian
Economy: For their size a 7 but for other races 1-2
Industry: Large production of illegal substances that are sold to drug lords. Are mostly merchants with a low production base so they usually buy cheap in one place and sell it expensive in other places.
Production/Construction: Makes several drugs made from a plant called Vitae that is highly addictive, apart from that they are excellent shipwrights and salvagers.

Soopah Powah: Highly mobile due to their wormhole drives. Also they are very secretive and very few people have seen them directly and even fewer know that they are a race.

Specialties/Advanced Sciences: Wormhole drives. Master of ship, since they spend most of their lives on spaceships they are good at building, maintaining and salvaging ships.
Strengths: Nomadic. Will trade with everyone with anything.
Weaknesses: Unable to colonize efficiently. Centered population, if their capitol was to be destroyed then they would be practically extinct.
=========================================================
Map Claim Size: 1 (Scale 1-10 1 being small 10 being huge)
Grid Coordinates: none
Map Claim Color: Black, grey or red in that order if available :)

Holdings/Territory: Qan system, where their capitol is currently stationed.

Colonization/expansion: They problem with they Corpus Umbrae is that they can't colonize an entire planet regardless of atmosphere. All Arakh suffers from an inherited that makes it impossible to live in an atmosphere without Vitae plants. Vitae plants release a chemical into the air where they grow which most races from the Arakh homeworld have a symbiotic with. For example the Arakh don't need sleep and have a fast metabolism and have a rather large muscular density, but Arakh born without the Vitae present are all stillborn and very weak. And to make matter worse if an Arakh is deprived or Vitae they will gradually grow weaker until their hearts simply stop. As such they few colonies they have are isolated buildings where there is a constant flow of Vitae gas.
=========================================================
Foreign policy: As weaker races that are to be used and enslaved. But they know they are currently weak and therefore exercise caution. (How you view and treat other nations.)
Diplomacy: None yet.

Technological Age: Mass effect period except different ftl drives and weapons tech. (Rough estimate,  feel free to use terms if you like, but not to limit options, it can be based loosely on Earth years, or at least a relative benchmark or comparison)
FTL Capabilities: Their ships can generate a wormhole to any point in the galaxy and travel there, but depending on distance and energy spent the travel time will change. Therefore most ships dock with their Capitol before making a long distance jump.
Inter Planetary Travel: Often used for trading and raiding.
=========================================================
Military Information: The Corpus Umbrae military strategy relies mostly on it's advanced spaceships and infantry when conducting military campaigns, but this is just when the war commences. Before a war will begin they will start to support dissidents and terrorist inside the target nation, giving them weapons and supplies in exchange for doing what the Corpus want from time to time. This allows them to eliminate enemy leaders, infrastructure before the war begins. When the battle begins the Corpus will utilize all means possible to end the war quickly and lower their own causalities, since they have an extremely small population.
Doctrine: At first they will a orbital superiority and start orbital bombardments on all strategic objectives. Then their infantry will be dropped onto key locations with their dropship acting as gunships and providing aerial superiority.

Army: All army groups are grouped in squads of then and then assigned a dropship with minor FTL capabilities. All squads are trained to the level of most special forces and often has greater experience as they quite often serve as mercenaries for other species.

Navy: The Corpus navy is based on high speed and high damage style of combat with them dropping out of their wormhole making a swift attack then leaving again. As such many find them highly annoying to fight as engagements with them can last for quite some time before.

Strengths: Very strong individual soldiers. Top class space ships. Total War.
Weaknesses: Need re-breathers to survive of their ships. Low population.
=========================================================
NS activity: Has been missing for some time but have begun to comeback again.
Technological Bases: None really, maybe mass effect quarians but most from my head.
Prior RP links: None that still exists, but have played Rp on roleplaygateway.

BAWHAWHAWHAW!!

Oh yes,... that is rich,... I've been keeping up with the thread for quite some time now, and I already saw. Oh yes,... I was wondering how long it'd be before we were noticed.
In any case, let the fool fume.

He has no grounds to stand upon.

First and foremost, it was him who drove me away. Second, this had been in the works long before I left, and had even been encouraged by many of those who had taken part in his RP. Third, what possible legitimate claim can he make against me? And these are just the three weakest arguments.

I remember a certain series of TGs between me and him, way at the start of things when I was first starting to conceptualize my app,... I remember that after exchanging information on the concept I was working on, he did notice a few similarities between it and his "architects"
You know why?
Because it ain't that original of an idea, that's why.

THIS all of it, has actually been in the works for nearly a decade now. That's right. I just never got around to actually doing it. I didn't have the skill, the knowledge, or the confidence to do it. And I like to think I've come a long way. Ironic, then, that such an unpleasant experience as such that I had while involved with that group, one so similar to my own, would be the very one that actually spurred me on to finally do this, to finally begin to form the story I never even in my wildest dreams thought would be worth the time and effort.
So, in short, I might have more right to be upset.
So, in short, let him stew.

I care not.
Why must I be the only one who can be reasonable in the face of chaos?

THIS all of it, has actually been in the works for nearly a decade now. That's right. I just never got around to actually doing it. I didn't have the skill, the knowledge, or the confidence to do it. And I like to think I've come a long way. Ironic, then, that such an unpleasant experience as such that I had while involved with that group, one so similar to my own, would be the very one that actually spurred me on to finally do this, to finally begin to form the story I never even in my wildest dreams thought would be worth the time and effort.
So, in short, I might have more right to be upset.
So, in short, let him stew.

I care not.

You have my support. I've had enough of that thread.

I also find it ironic that after all the changes I made to the story over all those years, I still ended up with the exact same tittle that I had come up with when I first started pacing around in circles in my grandmother's house. So, to say that that is evidence of my copying, I take as an extreme insult. It's a memory that I weigh with extreme sentimental value, and anyone with a problem with it can just go die in a fire. is invited to leave.
Feh, even when I'm not directly dealing with him he gets my temper riled up.
Now, what does that say about me being quite so petty as to get this upset over something so simple?
Why must I be the only one who can be reasonable in the face of chaos?
