They are literally star trek rip offs. I guess you could replicate a rifle.

Do. Not. Replicate. Weapons.

Stick with food, like star trek.

Ripping off of star trek is no foul, I think that we can all respect the awesomeness of the series.

But, with time, replicating a weapon is viable. Basically like a 3D printer.

I know that it's viable, but if you started pulling stuff like that, then we would have a problem.

I'd appreciate if we kept the use of replicators to a minimum. as a Co-OP, I don't mind them being used for little things or for plot devices, but I'd hate for someone to go using them willy nilly as little factories for weapons and the like.

I'm sure you all, as decent and trusted RP'ers, feel similar.

Yes, and no. A replicator making rifles in minute(s) at a Army Base , or in a Mobile Garrison is okay. A civil replicator fabricating a turbolaser in a minute is a slightly different.

It could certainly. Don't worry, I believe I am the only one authorized to use this technology, and I have disadvantages in place to limit their effectiveness in my civilization.

I would argue otherwise, since that would effectively mean you would never run out of supplies or equipment.

You would be limited by how much energy you have with you to use to fabricate the mass for the weapons. They are not being drawn from thin air.

The problem is that even then it's easy to go overboard, since energy isn't all that difficult to come by. I'd take it by Kyuria before I'd start using it, personally.

It's not really my tech. I use it solely as a food synthesizer.
