I kind of apped a bug species. :3 Bugs that can fly in space with no means of protection.
Space is a vacuum, but there are signs of Hydrogen/Helium gases. And so, they can breath Hydrogen/Helium and Oxygen.
That's how they spread. They literally fly off planet and into space no problem, and their exoskeleton protects them from extreme heat. C:

No, but they can fly long durations before needing breaks. I'd say every planet/moon they stop and rest.
Then they continue until they reach a different system. By all means, we're a sluggishly growing Empire.
But we have half the smarts of a human, and so, we could...probably learn how to use a ship, if we adjusted it.
We won't know how to build one, so we'll be space-pirate-bugs.

Our bugs eat anything that's smaller than them. If you're xenomorphs are smaller than our Warriors (about triple human size to the size of a car), then we will hunt you down for food. ANYTHING smaller than us = food is our logic. Foreign diplomacy? Fuqdat we're hungry. :3
