Sentinels&Vanguards (Semi-open, Attn: Alexlantis)

[Unified Western States]

OOC: I can't really do graphic prints to save my life, but imagine they look similar to a US dollar bill but are slightly blue-green. They say Unified Western States across the top and a picture of a clean cut, young man is in the middle. Beneath the portrait it says: "General Roger Tomly"

IC: "Get her a big box. She'll probably be hungry after all this."

[Alexlantis]

"Yeah." He said, putting away the money. "So, do they give out free samples here? I like chocolate."

[Unified Western States]

"They sure do. Now get in there." He said, laughing.

[Alexlantis]

Allan did so, fighting the childlike urge to run around the store yelling, grabbing as much candy as possible. He joyfully ate his free sample, looking around. "The Sample pack looks good."

OOC: I love Ghiradelli! OMG!

OOC: Me too!! I changed the name a little, but same basic concept.

The women at the desk looked up. "The sample pack? Alright. Anything else?"

"This pack of caramel ones and...umm..." Allan turned to the officer. "Anything else?"

[Unified Western States]

"If you want anything, nows the time."

[Alexlantis]

"That's all." He said, pulling out the wad of foreign cash.

[Unified Western States]

"That will be One-hundred and fifty five dollars please."

[Alexlantis]

"Here you are." He said, handing the money over. He then turned to the officer. "Thanks."

[Unified Western States]

"Your welcome. Now, lets head out. Anything else you want to see? We have a few hours."

[Alexlantis]

"Well, what's there to see?"

[Unified Western States]

"Plenty. This is Seattle, capital of the UWS. There's the EMP, Space Needle, Memorial Park, Pike Place Market. Oh, and this may be a little late, but you never got my name. Lieutenant Dmitri Fedoseev, at your service." He laughed.

[Alexlantis]

"Let's see the Space Needle, Lietenant...erm, can I just call you Dmitri?"

[Unified Western States]

"Sure. While we're breaking the no leaving the facility rule, to hell with formality. Space Needle it is." They got back into the SUV and took off, the water on one side, the glittering towers of Seattle on the other. They sped past the downtown area and pulled up at the base of the Needle. "Well, here we are."

[Alexlantis]

"Awesome! Wish we had buildings like this back home." Allan said, craning his neck as he walked towards it.

[Unified Western States]

"It is pretty amazing. Been here for many, many, many decades. Its a historical preservation site. Lets go in." They entered through the doors at the base, then to the elevators. They got in and the elevators whisked them up. Even though they were high up, most of the buildings in the downtown were taller still. They arrived at the top.

"Feel like dinner?"

[Alexlantis]

"Starved. Let's eat. If you don't mind, of course."

[Unified Western States]

"Not at all." Dmitir led them to the out ring, which was slowly revolving. They sat down at a table and a waiter came over.

"Welcome to the Space Needle gentlemen. Here are the menus. Our special tonight is a Kobe beef fillet with organic mashed potatoes and green beans. The mashed potatoes come with your choice of organic shitake mushroom gravy or a creamy eggplant sauce. Would you like anything to drink besides water?"

"I'll have a glass of Cabernet Sovreign please. Allan?"

[Alexlantis]

"Do you have Dr Pepper?"

OOC: Strange thing is, noone seems to have noticed the yellow eyes yet.

OOC: They do, but they are used to it. When the Sentinel program first started, they were allowed to walk around. Plus, most people are too polite to point it out.

IC:

The waiter nodded. "Excellent. I will be back soon." He left.

Dmitri looked out the window. Since the section was rotating, the view had changed from one of downtown to the waterfront.

IC:

Dmitri looked out the window. Since the section was rotating, the view had changed from one of downtown to the waterfront.

OOC: Yeah, I guess you're right. It'd be rude to point that out.
IC: "Nice view." Allan said, staring out at the city. He pulled out a neatly folded block which, when unfolded, revealed several blank pieces of paper and a few drawn-on pieces. He began sketching machines again, at this point drawing an 18th century-esque rocket ship.

[Unified Western States]

The waiter brought the drink, then pulled out a pad. "Have you gentlemen decided on food?"

Dmitri looked up. "Yes, I'll have the special."

[Alexlantis]

Allan looked up from his drawings with a quick snap. "Huh? Oh. Uh, I'll have a hamburger with pickles only with a side of fries and onion rings."

[Unified Western States]

"Very well. I will be back shortly." The waiter left.

The revolving restaurant had turned enough so that a solitary building, a huge, blocky construct could be seen. It was in the distance, separate from everything else, but even from this far away, it still seemed huge.
