"Yeah, no shit." Allan said, letting out a long sigh. He suddenly had to fight back tears, something he was surprised to be doing. He fought to clear his mind and eyes covertly, letting out a cough.

The doctor took out a shot and injected it into Diana, then put it away and walked out of the room. Diana lay there peacefully, the heart rate monitor beeping.

The officer came back in. "Look, we should probably go back to your room. Your really not supposed to be gone, but I figured I shouldn't keep two people apart." With that, he lead Allan back to his room, where dinner was waiting.

Allan ate, glad he'd caught himself just before the officer came in.

Allan sat, staring at his half-empty plate. He forced himself to eat the rest, him not being very hungry for obvious reasons.He stood up and looked around the room again, searching for possible exits and attempting to gauge where they would lead.

A few days went by, and the officer came back. "Hey, look, I'm kinda breaking the rules here, but, Diana is about to undergo the genetic reconstruction therapy. If you want to come, hurry up." He then whisked Allan down the halls to a room. Diana was being loaded into a large silver cylinder, which as soon as she was in it, closed and slid into the wall. Some medical technicians began tapping buttons and the wall began to glow blue and green, with lights zipping by. It was almost like a light show.

Allan watched intently, crossing his fingers (and toes) and quietly murmuring a prayer. He then turned to the officer. "Thanks."

"Your welcome. By the way, if you want to give her something, I can get you to the surface for a few hours to buy her a gift. She likes lilies." He said, then turned back to the glowing and dancing wall. An hour passed and finally, it faded. The medical technicians walked in and slid the tube out, then opened it up. They slid Diana out and put her into a scanner. It ran a red laser wall back and forth over her before the whole room lit up green. The officer smiled.

"It worked."

A big smile appeared on Allan's face. He fought the urge to jump in the air and scream "YES!!!!!", instead resorting to a small fist pump and a "Yes."

"So, should we make that surface trip?" The officer said, also smiling.

"Well, then lets go." The officer led Allan down some winding corridors to an emergency elevator. He swiped a key card, then the system did a retinal scan. It accepted him and he got Allan and himself in. He hit "S" and the elevator shot up. "Now a few things. Don' try running away, since it will make me look stupid and get you in a heap of trouble. Also, we don't have a lot of time, since if you are gone for too long, they'll get suspicious."

"She likes chocolate from this one company on the water-front. I'll take you there." The elevator dinged and they were let out into a dusty old back alley. Behind them, the building the elevator was in was a brick structure. The officer led Allan out of the alley and to a nearby garage. He walked in. The garage was odd. There were no spaces, just an empty room. The man pressed a keypad and swiped a ticket. A few seconds later, the floor in front of them slid opened and a car rose up on a platform. The car was a futuristic SUV.



The officer tapped his finger on the door. It scanned it, the the pad glowed green before the doors opened upwards gull-wing style. The interior was high tech and sleek looking as well.



"Well, lets go get the flowers first." The officer tapped the touch screen center console and the doors closed. The car started silently and took off on the street.

"Nice car you've got." Allan said, taking a look around. "How fast can she go?"

"210. If I push the throttle really hard." He said, turning onto a waterfront street. Old style warehouses lined the waterfront and they zoomed down until they arrived at Pier 34. The store at the front of the warehouse said, in elegant gold script, Girdollosi Chocolates. The officer pulled up to it. "Do you have money?"

He checked his pockets. "Twenty Magic Shells and eighty cents. Is that okay?"

OOC: I checked on NS economy. 1 USD is equal to 21 magic shells. For my nation, 1 New West Dollar is equal to 1.7 USD.

"Ah, thanks. Sorry, the economy's a bit unstable. Last time I checked was September. School project." He looked at the bills, holding them up to the light, along with his own money. He held up the Magic Shell notes first, pulling out one bill out of a wad.

He then proceeded to hold one of the New West Dollar bills up to the sun.
