The officer laughed. "Oh, she wishes. She and her father get along like oil and water. He's shot down so many of her ideas, I've lost count."

"Well, not mine." He laughed again. "Anyways, we're moving you to a different room while we clean up this place. Unless you enjoy sleeping in gamma rays and negative charge particles."

The men washed down the suit, then got Allan out. They stripped him down, washed him off then gave him new clothes. He was brought to a large, comfortable room styled similarly to a hotel room.

"Hmm. Nice." Allan said, plopping down on te bed. He suddenly felt very tired, the warm soft darkness of sleep closing in. He tried to fight it, tried to stay awake, but he was losing ground and slowly sank into the abyss of sleep...

The next few days went by without incident, before the officer from before arrived.

"Well, you can come and see Diana now. She is still asleep, but she can probably hear you." He led Allan to the hospital wing. There, Diana lay, attached to a slew of devices and machines. Her eyes were closed and she was breathing with the help of a respirator.

"Uhm, hi, Diana. I made this." He said, pulling out a small wire contraption looking much like a ferris wheel. He attached a battery to it and it began to rotate. "It's a Ferris wheel."

Diana did not respond and a doctor came in. "Very nice. She can probably hear you, so you can talk to her. But the gamma particles...they damaged her brain. She's in a coma of sorts."

"We've been prepping her for a genetic reconstruction. It should at least bring her back from her coma. But the procedure is experimental and we don't know if it will work." The doctor had a sad look on her face.

"So, you're saying she'll be comatose forever?" Allan said with a sad tone and a grim face. He stared at the floor, resting his head in his hands. "Jesus Christ."
