"Ah, I see. And how do you feel now?"

[Unified Western States]

"I have succeeded with two parts of my mission and failed the third. There is nothing to feel."

[Alexlantis]

"You don't appear to feel much of anything. Can you remember a time when you could feel?"

[Unified Western States]

""Feelings are of no use. They were filtered out."

[Alexlantis]

"And do you remember when they were filtered out? And why are feelings of no use?"

[Unified Western States]

"I was designed this way."

[Alexlantis]

"Designed, I see. Do you ever think that maybe there's more to life than just being a soldier? That maybe you could live a life separate from killing?"

[Unified Western States]

"There is nothing else I have been designed to do. There is nothing beyond this life. And is there a purpose to these questions?"

[Alexlantis]

"Just one more. Do you follow a religion? Do you believe that there is a greater being, a powerful God of some sort?"

[Unified Western States]

"I follow religion. There is no purpose to it."

[Alexlantis]

"Why do you say that there is no purpose to it? Wouldn't that make you an Atheist, meaning that you don't follow a religion?"

[Unified Western States]

"I suppose. I was never told of religions, taught about them or anything along those lines. What does it matter?"

[Alexlantis]

"Well, without emotion or religion, what is your purpose?"

[Unified Western States]

"To fight and further the goals of Mr. Tanner."

[Alexlantis]

"So, essentially, you're all live marionets and Mr. Tanner's pulling the strings? What would you do if he died? What would be your purpose then?"

[Unified Western States]

"The Vice-president would take over and everything would continue."

[Alexlantis]

"And what if he was killed? And the person below them?"

[Unified Western States]

"The Company would remain. No matter who dies, the Company remains."

[Alexlantis]

"Hmm. And are you aware that the company has been dissolved? How does this affect you?"

[Unified Western States]

A trace of a smile crossed Daniel's face. The physical company has been dissolved. But as long as Mr. Tanner is alive, the Company will live on. And I am done answering questions."

[Alexlantis]

"Just one more. Why aren't you eating, drinking, or sleeping?"

[Unified Western States]

"That is only of my concern. not yours."

[Alexlantis]

"Ah, but we must know, Daniel. If you do not eat or drink or sleep, you die. We must give you food and water and a place to sleep unless given reason not to. We're wasting food if it isn't eaten. Why aren't you eating or sleeping? Or, for that matter, drinking?"

[Unified Western States]

"It is not required for my bodily functions. I have other functions that keep me alive."

[Alexlantis]

"Hmm. And what if you were given better food? Would you eat it?"
